Dr. Barone has a very friendly attitude. However, she very rarely came to see my son while he was there for his treatments. After two chemo cycles, I actually had to call her and request she come see him at the next one. She didn't really give me that great of a comfort level. When she was too busy to see my son, he saw a nurse practitioner. But the nurse practitioners knew nothing. They would tell me one thing and then when i would finally see the doctor it was something completely different. So there was a great lack of communication and knowledge. However, the nursing staff that gave my son the chemo was amazing. I have no complaints toward them. They were very friendly and personable. They showed they cared very much about their patients. I would use Children's oncology again. Although, I would try using a different oncologist.
Description of Work: Dr. Barone did Chemotherapy for my son for 6 months. She was the fellow taking care of him. She was the doctor I mostly saw. Dr. David Wilson was the Attending in charge. See his review.

I got an appointment for the next day. Office was in a MoBap medical building, and staff was great, didn't have a long wait. Dr looked at my rash, prescribed an antibiotic (ran a culture) and steroid cream and it was almost gone by Saturday! I have had a history of skin cancer so I made an appointment to follow up with her on the rash and for some suspicious spots (I've not been good about the regular check ups that requires), since this was a quick look and see appointment - and my first with her - for a couple weeks later. They requested records from previous docs in the meantime, so when I arrived for second appt she was ready to give me a once over. She froze a spot on my lip and it's healed beautifully. There were two other spots that didn't clear up, so I need to go back soon, but my first and second experience with her went very well. I expect to be her patient for as long as she's able to see me!
Description of Work: Developed a rash on my arms and legs. Called primary for referral, first one couldn't see me for almost a month, so I called back and they suggested I call Dr. McDonald.
