Rottler Pest & Lawn Solutions - St Louis

It costs $79 every two months. It got resolved.

I have been using Rottler for about 10 years and have been happy with them except for the past 2 years or so. The tech that works on my home comes out of Columbia, Mo. and his supervisor is from Ashland, Mo. This tech continues to come when it is not convenient for me to be home and "says" he sprays the exterior and charges me full price. The last time he was here I asked him to call me so I could be home to let him inside. No call and I found a bill in my door for the full price. I called him and had him return to my residence and showed him a live spider in a huge web that he "missed". Then he argued with me about already spraying that area. I got so frustrated I asked him to leave. I called his manager and the manager does not have another tech that will come to this area. I am so frustrated!!!!

The Rottler field representative met with us on a Saturday which we appreciated. He examined our front and back yards and explained how their services are provided. We agreed to the terms and he proceeded to set traps. On subsequent dates/visits, notes were left on our front door handle reporting the capture of a total of two moles. We contacted Rottler's customer support to inquire whether we could learn the gender of the two moles because this may indicate the likelihood of continuing mole reproduction on our property. The operator explained that she would reach out to the field representative regarding our question and that someone would get back to us. We never received a follow-up. Rottler removed all traps and continued to make visits to our property every two months to look for any evidence of mole activity (raised tunnels). Still enrolled in their program, we inquired through Rottler customer support as to whether they could assist us with addressing an outdoor ant infestation. We were told by the operator that she's never been asked about ants before, she would have to investigate with regards to our question and that someone would contact us. Again, we never received a follow-up; however, the billings continued and notations were left on our front door indicating that no moles were detected. Out of frustration, we terminated our contract with Rottler because of their unresponsiveness to our inquiries and their apparent satisfaction, in our opinion, with 'coasting' by providing poor customer- and follow-up service. While we paid a substantial cost to originally enlist their services (which tends to function as a deterrent for customers to cancel because they have to repay this upfront cost if they ever need extermination services again), we were so displeased by the lack of response and knowledge in addressing simple questions that we decided to sustain the financial loss, eliminate the frustration from inaction and decided to identify a new pest control service or consider doing it ourselves.

They had a day free the following mid week, and the work was done. I did find a live one after the heat treatment was completed, my specialist came out right away, kept the critter to make sure it died within the week. When it didn't, they arranged to come and do the heat treatment again, as per their warranty. I did have three follow up spray treatments, just for my peace of mind, but nothing ever show up again. Very satisfied.

We have never had any issues with Rottler's service. The squirrel removal was done promptly and effectively. Prior to the monthly maintenance check of the termite traps at our home the serviceman telephones to see if we have experienced any additional problems of any kind that he needs to address on his call. If we are at home when he comes, he checks in with us and gives a verbal report on his visit; if not he leaves a note with that information in the door. On several occasions we have made special calls when we had a few field mice in the basement and someone has always come out promptly, looked for access points, made recommendations and provided sticky traps for us to use. They send a specialist in the specific problem you are experiencing (i.e., termites, mice, etc) and they are good about pointing out any situations, such as seed stored in garage, that could be encouraging the problem. We also like that the monthly service is generally provided by the same serviceman. All their serviceman are pleasant and professional. We give Rottler an unqualified endorsement. The squirrel removal was at a St. Louis City location and the ongoing termite and other services at our home in St. Louis County.

This was excellent service from Rottler. Very timely. Professional assessment of our situation. We now know the name of the person in our area, John, to contact for future service and we will be using Rottler in the future.

My mostly zoysia lawn had many large dead patches and looked awful, beyond repair. They killed the weeds and fertilized durng summer and seeded at an appropriate time in the fall - something like six treatments overall. The results are astonishing. My lawn has never looked so good, so thick and green.

There were squirrels about the second floor ceiling of my hour. They found that there was more than one point of entry; sealed off one and set a trap at the other. Returned everyday until there was nothing in the trap for 3 days in a row. Then sealed the remaining hole. The work is guaranteed for a year. They will return during that time frame if the squirrels return. Everyone at Rottler with whom I had dealings was very professional and responsive.

They inspected the house for other critters, set traps, and closed off the part of our attic that the squirrels were able to access. They came back and checked the traps every day, then removed the squirrels.

I don't think they fixed my stuff. They're real nice, real prompt and professional. I got something burrowing underneath my front walkway and I just don't know what it is. I think it's frogs. I think they were baiting for the wrong stuff.

Rottler is an extremely professional business exhibiting genuine concern for the customers' issues along with tremendous knowledge and experience in their field. I'm very impressed with their entire staff include sales, technicians, and even the folks answering the phones at the office.

Noticed bees were swarming outside of the house and getting in through vents. This started happening around 5:30pm. I called Rottler and they had a technician at our house within 20 minutes - Dan. He was very professional and went right to work. He applied two types of treatment. When he was finished, he vacuumed the interior where the bees were laying. He was very quick and it stopped the bees right away. I am very appreciative that they came so quickly, especially since it was after 5:00pm on a Wednesday night. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. Thank you!

They have been excellent. Great customer service. Attention to all of our needs. You get the same tech every time.

They come out every month. We have a contract with them. We pay $99 a month. They are great. They are fabulous. They are very personable and their service is good.

We've been using Rottler for a couple of years now and they have been great. Brent, out technician, is always friendly, punctual, flexible with appointments, and answers any of the pest control questions that we have. It's not cheap, but I think it's competitive with other pest control companies in the St. Louis area.

Great job! Inspected my home traped squirrels and sealed all entry points. Sam did a great job was at my home everyday for one week. Saved money squirrels can do a lot of damage they already started to chew the drywall it could have been more damage if it wasn't for Rottler!

The technician was on time, friendly, gave great explanations regarding what we would need to have done and then did it! We were very pleased, no more bees on the deck, spiders are gone and we haven't seen a silverfish since. We were so pleased that we signed up for year of service. It was refreshing to have a company do what they promise and do it so well.

They are very professional and put on booties to keep the floors clean. The method they use is not harmful to pets.

We've used Rottler for at least 14 years and although they are a bit more expensive than other companies, their product is good and has taken care of a variety of pest issues we've experienced. One situation in particular was early past Spring when I noticed a problem with Springtails. It seemed like they were showing up everywhere. I called and the Rottler technician came out within a day and sprayed. He then said he would come back for a second application within two weeks without additional charge. It was about two weeks later that the Springtails were gone. Our technician has always been very courteous, helpful, punctual, and professional. We had a similar issue when we moved into the house. We had brown camel-back crickets and silverfish that came with the new blown-in insulation. The silverfish were everywhere. Rottler sprayed and said we would see dead bodies within two weeks, and we did. We have not had either pest issue since. I'll have to be honest and say that we did also contact them about a pest issue in our attic, and they were not helpful with that issue. Their technician said it was flying squirrels, but turned out to be bats. They even looked at the bat guano and couldn't seem to identify it. It wasn't until one bat got caught and died in the attic that we knew they were not experts with this type of pest.

An appointment for the estimate was set up right after I had made my initial inquiry. The gentleman who came out was quite professional gave me plenty of information and options for the job. He even gave me the option multiple times to not have the service done. The initial visit was on a Monday, I was told at that time that I would hear back from him by Thursday with an installation date. I gave him until the following Monday and I called their office and was told that I would be hearing from their installation some time that week, I then called back again the following Monday and was told again that I would hear back from their installation team some time that week. On Wednesday of that week I heard from the team that was going to install our lights that they would be out that afternoon. It was early evening when they arrived to do a walk around. At that time they told me they would be back the following day to install the lights. They did show up on time and began the installation. They did a good job on the front of the house, I felt the wreath that was hung over the garage was a little small for what it cost me, the garland that was put over the door looked good as did the lights on the house. I felt what was put in the trees was not all that great, I thought we were wrapping the trees, instead a couple of strands of lights were hung in the trees. The lights that were put on the back of the house left a lot to be desired, they used more lights on the front than anticipated and left the back incomplete. In general the job done was just OK, it did not have the WOW factor that I anticipated for the price. I am not sure that I will have them back to do the job next year. I would like to note that I did not reach out to Rottler until late November, I fully understand that they had other installation jobs scheduled at that time, I also understand that if I have this service done by Rottler (or anyone else) I will need to schedule it much earlier than I did this time. I would like better communication between the vendor and myself going forward.

I had visited relatives out of state, and although I didn't sleep at their apartment, I spent a lot of time there. Turns out they had bed bugs. Before arriving home, I did research to learn how to lower my risk of bringing any bugs into my home. Several weeks after I got home, I woke up with three red itchy bumps on my neck. I called Rottler, and learned that they have a whole office dedicated to bed bug treatment. One of their professionals came out and did a visual inspection, free of charge. He did not find anything, but said it was too early to tell for sure. He also spent a lot of time telling me that it was highly unlikely that I had brought something home, what to look for to tell if I did bring something home, and to call him if I had any questions or saw anything. He was very patient, and answered all of my questions. He also said that although he did not think it necessary, they had bed bug sniffing dogs and that I could pay to have them inspect if it would give me peace of mind. Even though I didn't have any more itchy bumps, and did not see any of the other things he had told me to watch out for, I decided to pay to have the dogs out. There were two dogs and two human dog handlers. Plus the original professional came along as well. They were very thorough, searching the house and the suitcase from my trip to the relatives which had been sitting - still packed - in my garage for months. They also answered all of my questions. One of the handlers even gave me her cell phone number and said to call if I saw anything or if I had any additional questions.

They come out when I see signs of moles and take care of them. They put down fertilizer on my lawn.

They were professional. Had concerns about set up and they were receptive and promptly changed configuration to my liking.

Really did not correct the rodent problem and seemed pricey in general.

Our mouse problem was eliminated in about one month with the use of Rottler. Our technician is very professional and available at all times with a phone call. So far, we've been very happy.
