Rottler Pest & Lawn Solutions - St Louis

I have a regular exterminator from Rottler, Adam. Adam knows my schedule and the placement of my termite traps so he is quick and efficient. He calls a day or two before he is to arrive in case I want to have the inside of the house treated or if i want to be there when he checks my termite traps. He always arrives at the beginning of the four hour window that I have been provided which is wonderful as I have the rest of that day off. My trash pickup day is usually the same day Adam visits. Those times that my trash cans have been empty when Adam arrives he has actually returned the trash can to its normal storage spot. Adam is very knowledgeable of the various pests I have him treat for and he is very personable. If Rottler's other exterminators are as capable as Adam, they have a great staff. They are well worth the price I pay for the quick response and quality work they provide.

I contacted Rottler for a free inspection / estimate to treat mainly a suspected rodent infestation in the ceiling between our finished basement and first floor but also for ants and spiders in the house. Ed arrived early for the appointment (after calling first). The inspection seemed thorough, and he was able to find evidence of mice in the ceiling at the few unfinished portions of the basement. He quoted a price of $299 for the initial treatment and $89 for each follow-up visit every other month thereafter. This included indoor and outdoor treatment for rodents and insects through a combination of sprays, glue traps, and baited traps. Ed answered all of my questions and provided me a list of the chemicals to be used so I could check the toxicity online. Nate was the technician who performed the initial scheduled treatment a few days after agreeing to the contract. He did not show up early but towards the end of the 2 hour window I was given. Nate was very polite and unobtrusive in applying the treatments. He explained what he did, especially noting if any odors would be present and how long chemical applications would be visible. Overall, I was happy with the service and would recommend them to a friend.

I admire a small business that is run professionally, and will always favor companies with great customer service. Rottler was both of these. The technician was ontime, dressed in uniform, and friendly. He was efficient and courteous while he treated the house, and it was obvious he knew his job. Overall, a great experience and I'm glad I found this company on Angies List. My only reservation about initially hiring Rottler was that their pricing was expensive, but the fact that they have a natural botanical spray treatment and great service reviews was enough for me to try them - I'm very pleased and signed up for a service plan with them.

We use Rottler for routine pest control. During a visit, the technician mentioned that our attic insulation looked a bit shallow. He asked if he could have Rottler's insulation expert contact us to evaluate and determine if more insulation was required. The insulation person, Steve Sides, visited and did a thorough examination of the attic. He determined that additional insulation was needed if we wanted to get to the recommended R49. He provided a quote, which we accepted, then prepared the needed paperwork so we could take advantage of the low cost loan program offered by Laclede Gas. The work was scheduled for a couple of weeks later. The crew showed up on time, completed the job in a professional manner. They put done a covering on the stairs and other places they would be working and cleaned up thoroughly after completing the job. The entire experience was first rate from beginning to end.

Rottler has done an excellent job eliminating termites, insects and rodents in and around my house. My comments about the initial treatment in July 2008 were separately input to Angie's List. This report is for their 10 follow-up visits to confirm there still are no termites and re-treat the perimeter for insects and rodents. They've been very professional, effective, expert and customer oriented. All workers have been very polite, explain what was done and answer all questions. The price seems reasonable. They were always flexible in re-scheduling their visits if I had a conflict. Their initial termite treatment killed all termites and none have returned (via periodic inspections of in-ground traps around the house). The insect treatments have been very effective and I rarely see any insect. They also got rid of a slight rodent problem. All treatments have been human/pet safe and they're very focused on ensuring safety. I highly recommend using this superior pest control company.

They were very polite and very knowledgeable. They told us of everything that was going on with the contract that we entered into with them for a year. They come out properly on the dates that they are supposed to come out. They call beforehand to make sure somebody is home. If nobody is home and we call them back and tell them that we just want the outside of the house done, they do the outside of the house. They leave us a note that they came. We have been very happy with them. They have been really good. I have been impressed.

Still too many moles destroying my yard and garden

They are reliable. They are responsive and if you have problems in between service they come right away. They seem to be knowledgeable. I've been paying the same price for a long time, so I'm happy with that.

We are very satisfied with them. They are very prompt and good, and they respond if we have a problem. They do what they say they are going to do, and the person who comes out is very courteous and thorough. I would rate them highly and would use them again.

When I spoke to the representative by phone, they sounded very professional and scheduled me immediately. What they did not tell me was that they generally provide on-going service, even though I was clear that I wanted one-time only. I do not find this lack of information to be professional. Since I did not want to get pressured into signing a contract, I cancelled. Also, I found another provider with no charge for initial visit.

They do a pretty good job. They call and let me know when they are coming. They help me get rid of bugs in my house. They are expensive. I will continue to use them in future.

They are very good. They giver personalized care. The person who came the last time gave me his cell phone number and I can contact him if there is a problem.

I pay Rottler Pest & Lawn Solutions on a quarterly basis. They are excellent in every single way. I?ve nothing negative to say about them. They make sure to take care of the problem. If they?ve come out earlier and the problem hasn?t been solved, they quickly and willingly come back and stay with it until it gets solved. They are efficient and clean. They do the job properly.

I called them two days ago, and they came out yesterday. He went in there and sprayed and I haven?t seen any insects since then. He said the foam he put in there would kill them and they would not be back. I appreciated their responsiveness, and we were very satisfied with their work.

The first visit went okay. The technician sprayed the edge of the floors. He said that it would evaporate within a half an hour. After three hours of liquid sitting on my hardwood, we decided to dry mop it up before there was damage. After the two visits, our ant problems are gone, but I have not seen a big reduction in the brown recluse, house centipede or American cockroach populations. I'm starting to think we're just going to have to live with the pests...

They always let us know they are coming. We are always satisfied with the work and so far we haven't had any pests or rodant problems.

I was able to schedule an appointment for someone to come out soon after I called. Technician arrived during the scheduled time window, asked me if I was seeing any problems, then told me exactly what he was going to do. Cody was really professional and also extremely friendly towards me and my dogs. I had originally wanted to use the eco-friendly pest control products but the tech warned me that they have a strong smell and aren't great for people with allergies. I went with the regular stuff and I have not had any inkling that the house was treated -- except for the dead bugs everywhere!

I was surprised at the initial inspection cost and the $99 every other month amount because of what I read from other Angie's List members. It might be due to the size of our lot. I assumed the services I would be receiving would include indoor spraying. I feel I was 'given' a package and did not get to choose from any different options they offer.

To date (6/4/09), the technician has made 5 visits for treatment and follow-up inspection. I have called them once for suspected new attacks. Response was immediate, and results have been excellent so far. More inspections will be made under contract terms, and additional visits made as I may request. As of now , the mole problem is under control and I am completely satisfied. I shall continue with their service after the current contract!

We had termites and we started using Rottler 5 years ago. We have an annual contract with them now. I don't see them because they come when I am not here. They seem to fine because they interact with my husband and his nurse. They seem to be efficient, effective, and apparently keep the pests away.

Joe was very professional. He was right on time and did a thorough inspection of the home (including the attic). Afterwards, he discussed the pricing options and different issues that may arise during pest control. Rottler did an excellent job but we felt the price was too high for our budget. We also thought that spraying every other month might be overkill. I had lived in apartment complexes where Rottler only comes once every 3-6 months but they did not offer the same service to residential. I was told that it must be every other month. The initial service was to be $199 and then $99 every other month for a 1 year contract. That's a lot of money. But, I might be spending it if I find that the company I went with doesn't do a good job. Overall, it was a good experience. The pricing options were just a little too high.

I have a yearly contract with them. We have scheduled for them to come every other month and when the need arises. The same technician comes to do the job and we don't need to be here, unless they have to do it inside the house. He calls a couple of days before he comes. I am satisfied with their work. They are knowledgeable. They know their work and how to get the job done.

They are pleasant, and they call and schedule an appointment 15 minutes before they come over. They look very carefully for bugs. They have a number of little sticky traps in the basement that they use to check what kinds of bugs are coming in. From the time that they have started spraying, I have got only an occasional spider that crawls across. They let me know how many of the mice boxes need poison replaced - they do not just go out and replace them, but they let me know how things are going. Their price is reasonable, and I have a contract with them because of which I get a better price.
