this was a pretty big job, given that other than the supply lines to the second floor remaining intact, everything else was completely replaced, and in many cases, relocated. job took about three days to complete. crew was punctual, professional, and really good about keeping me informed about the job, and educated about the process. after about 28 days of use, system froze up during the awful heatwave of june 2012. crew came out late in the evening, and made some adjustments to fan speed and thermostatic control settings. have had no further issues. the system has worked exactly as descibed. the zoned system has given me a second floor that is cool in the summer (tough in 100 year old city houses), and my energy consumption has been reduced by over a third.

It went good. I will use them again in the future.

He was able to identify and address the issue (low coolant level) quickly, was polite and courteous, and pointed me toward a website coupon that saved me some money. I was pleased with the experience, and I would recommend them for anyone needing A/C service.

The bid was good. Not a hard selling experience like some others. They were willing to negotiate on the service and I am very happy

When I called I wasn't really sure if I needed an electrician or a heating/cooling company. I found Rhymes on Angies list and was glad I called. I explained the situation to Darren who was very professional and very helpful and provided me with some information. He made me feel very comfortable when asking questions to determine my needs. He would have been able to send someone out the same day for me but it ended up it was a different issue. However, when I called him back to let him know he was so nice and professional and really was happy to help later if I needed him. I was really impressed and plan to use them in the future when I do need services and for preventive maintenance of my system. I am very glad I called and talked to Darren.

It went great. The technician was very friendly and professional. I feel confident about my heating and cooling now.

From the first contact to the meetings with the salesman to the installing of the system, the experience was excellent. We got several other bids and found Rhymes very comparable. Bernie the saleman was very knowledgeable and helped up figure out which system would best meet our particular needs. He was honest and up front and did not try to do any upselling. He was also excellent at explaining the technical things in an understandable way.The company was able to quickly schedule the work.All of the work was completed in one day.The workmen were polite and respectful.They put down drop clothes to protect our carpeting and cleaned up everything when they finished.We were very pleased with the entire process.Our new AC is cooling great.

I called and within less than an hour a gentleman came over and was very professional. He said he was in the area.... He spent about 10 minutes looking at my furnace, told me there were a couple of things that would need to be replaced that would cost about $1,000 and said I should go ahead and buy a new one. He spent about 10 minutes putting the quote together, presented it, and I thanked him for his time. I told him I was surprised that I had to pay him to give me a quote on a new furnace and he was surprised that no one had told me that in the office. I was leaving town that week, so I do appreciate that they were able to come by very quickly to help me out.

My original provider was unable to do this year's check & cleaning due to health issues, so I called Rhymes who is located in my neighborhood. They were very efficient over the phone and arrived as scheduled. The technician was very professional and after talking with the Rhymes and the technician, I made the decision to enroll in their fall/spring program and prepaid for the spring check as well. Since it's been awhile since I did this, my cost estimate is just that... an estimate. Overall, I'm very happy with Rhymes.

We pay about $125 and they check the furnace in the fall and then they come back in the spring and check the air-conditioner at no charge. We think that they are basically pretty good. We had an incident where the air-conditioner went out in one of the summers that were very bad and they checked the air-conditioner in the spring and it was okay. There was a compactor that was going bad and they did not replace it at that time, however when it actually did and the air-conditioner went out they came out that same day and took care of it. It was the best that we could expect at the time and it was a bad summer. Their price is comparable to the others. We would say that they are okay on their work. They were pretty quick to respond and were also pretty punctual. Sometimes they try to try to something that we don’t need. They said we needed a new air-conditioner, but we did not and all we needed was the compactor fixed, but we did not buy it. We don’t know if we would use them again, we may shop around.

He recharged the coolant for the AC. I thought he was professional, because he offered a few suggestions and helpful advice. I was pleased with his service, and will call him again.

Getting the part took over a week, and we were without air in one of the hottest weeks of summer. However, it was due to the parts available for our York unit, according to Rhymes Cooling and Heating. We were told that the parts had to be special ordered, and that if we had say a Lennox, this would not be the case. Overall, they worked with us and installed the part, after some confusion between different employees/managers at the company, as to the scheduled appointments that were made, they came through in the end and installed the part, restoring our AC.

I had bids from three other contractors that seemed a little high. Rhymes was able to visit my home on short notice, and submitted a bid that was quite a bit lower than the others. They installed the unit several days later in a neat, professional manner.

Called Rhymes on Tuesday morning because furnace was not working. Technician arrived on time and quickly identified the problem. I received a quote for $1400 for the part and replacement service. I called another company to get a second opinion and received the same diagnosis but higher estimate. I called Ryhmes again on Wednesday morning and asked them to do the work. They informed me they would have to order the part and couldn't come out until the next day. After some persistence they agreed to pick up the part and do the repair by 4:00 PM. The Technician arrived on time and completed the installation in a professional manner. After about an hour, the furnace quit again. We called Rhymes and they were very responsive and offered to come out again that night at no charge. We declined but requested they come out the next morning. The Technician showed up at 7:00 Am Thursday morning and after an hour of investigation found an switch that needed to be replaced. He was able to bypass the switch so we would have some heat while he arranged to order the new part. We scheduled the final repair for Friday morning. The Technician arrived at exactly 7:00 AM as promised and was able to finish the repair in about 45 minutes. They were very courteous and apologetic for having to make several trips. They also only charged me their cost for the defective switch and charged no additional labor. Although I would have preferred that the initial repair resolved my issue, they were very responsive after they found the second problem and went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I was impressed by their attention to customer service.

They were helpful from start to finish! Very helpful and patient on intial phone calls and very prompt for the walk through and when providing the quote. All staff members I came in contact with went out of their way to be thourough, respectful, patient and professional. I felt that they were honest and provided above expectation service.

Of 4 bids, theirs was best and they told us about the $650 rebate, which they took care of - no hassle to us. No other company brought it up to us, and they were all much more expensive. The total above is with the rebate subtracted from bid. They were quick to respond, very professional, and we're already saving 20% on our electric bill!

Prompt service on one of the hottest days of the year.Frank was very professional, assessed the problem, told me what it was, and replaced the part. I could not expect better service than what was provided by Rhymes. They installed my furnace and air conditioner several years ago and they perform annual maintenance to both units. This is a family business and they deliver excellent products and services.

I put off calling because of lack of funds if it was something major. The unit quit working on the 6th. I called on the 7th and Frank was here by noon or so. It was not a major issue (in my opinion) and he was very quick and polite. I'm am so thrilled that I am writing this and he is still in his van filling out paperwork! Coil was frozen and drain was clogged. He fixed both and accepted the coupon I had printed from their site. Price was reasonable.

My experience with them went great. They did what they said they were going to do and did it timely.

On Oct 26, a service technician named Corey came to our home to reinstall the condensing unit of the air conditioner which had been moved so that our concrete patio could be poured,. During the 2 hours that it took him to move the condenser and hook it back up, he repeatedly walked into our home without knocking. The first time he entered, I asked him if he was finished and wanted to give me tha bill; but he replied that he was going to use the bathroom. The whole time he was here, he always referred to me as "Bud," He could never give me the courtesy of addressing me as Mister" or "Sir." The next time, he entered unannounced, he handed me a bill for $780, over twice the amount that I had been quoted for the job. I questioned him as to exactly what services had been performed to bring the bill to that amount and stated that it was more than double the quoted rate and that I wasn't going to pay such an exorbitant fee. Miraculously, the total reverted to the original estimate of $380 (for two hours work?). I asked a few questions about the unit and whether it was now operable. He said that it was but that he could not test it because the ambient temperature outside was not high enough. I called the company the following day to register a complaint with a supervisor regarding his behavior and the inflated bill. The man appeared disinterested but said he would check into it and get back to me. That was almost two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. This weekend, the temperature was high enough that I could test the functioning of the unit. The unit did not work. Upon investigating, I found a plastic tie on the electrical box and that the technician had inverted the fuses in the unit. There is no way the mechanism would work under these circumstances. It seems they were anticipating that we would have to pay for another service call next spring. Unethical and unprofessional behavior. Avoid at all costs.

The technician called before arriving and was right on schedule. He was polite, honest, and helpful. We replaced the a/c motor last year on our own and it has been running extremely loud this summer. He said a one-year old motor should not be doing that and suggested we take it back and replace it. We were grateful the fix was so easy and our a/c unit does not need replacing! Everything is running fine now.

They were great. They came out immediately. Actually there was not a problem with the furnace. He told me what he thought was the problem which was the drain in the basement and it turned out right. They told me upfront what it was going to be with regards to the price and I was not surprised. He did some cleaning, though it did not solve the problem. Their price was fair. He was knowledgeable. He was responsive and professional.

My husband came home at 5:15 pm to a cold house. His efforts to re-light the pilot failed twice. He called Rhymes shortly before 6 pm (we had used them before for A/C). They were very careful to make sure we understood the extra costs for an after-hours call, which we appreciated. Technician arrived in less than an hour. He stayed almost two hours. He explained carefully what he was finding and what he was doing. He had a couple of issues to deal with and didn't have a replacement part, but didn't want to leave us without heat, so he repaired instead. We appreciated his work and his attitude.

As part of our Peace of Mind contract with Rhymes, they sent us a postcard in the mail to remind us to schedule our furnace check. This is the first year that we've used Rhymes, and they came out in the spring to do the air conditioner check. I really liked that they sent the same technician both times. He was familiar with our system already and quickly performed the necessary services to get our furnace ready for the winter. There was no charge since we had pre-paid in the spring. Brian was extremely professional and friendly on both visits and answered all of my questions. He vacuumed out our furnace, cleaned the humidifier and let me know that we would need to replace the water panel next season. He said he would keep that in their records so that it wouldn't get missed next year.

A/C quit working on July 4th (wouldn't you know it), so I called to make an appointment for the next day. Brian Paul, service specialist, arrived on time for the scheduled appointment time. He checked everything out and then gave me the bad news that the condenser motor was out. I had to decide whether to replace the motor (approx. $600 and which he would have to order) on a 16 yr old unit or replace the unit ($3,000 to $4,000). Couldn't have happened at a worse time financial wise. Brian spent a lot of time explaining the pro's and con's of each option. He did not push me to commit to anything and was sympathetic. I have used them before to replace a furnace and A/C unit at a previous residence; they do quality work, timely, and professionally! I decided at this time to think it over and let them know in a couple of days. I just could not afford either option at the time. I thought the cost of replacing the motor was high. My final decision was not to do either and suffer with the heat. These people are great and I have nothing bad to say about them. It's all about money!
