+ -1 moreThis was the first time I ever used an auction service and I was very impressed and pleased. Mr. Peper obviously has much experience in this field. He was well able to assess the value of my items (many antiques) and had good rapport with the sale attenders as he worked for highest prices. His website is excellent for both buyer and seller, and he has an good assistant to maintain it. I found him very responsive - always answering my calls and questions promptly. I think his commission of 25% is very fair for all the time he took with my items, for his contacts and marketing network, and for his staff of good assistants.
Description of Work: I was downsizing my household in preparation for an out-of-town move. My items were too good for a yard sale and too numerous for online auctions like eBay. I contacted Mr. Peper, who came to my home to assess my items, gave me info on what would sell, how the auction works, and when would be the best time to sell. He even had available a very efficient item pick-up service. He posted preview pictures of my items on his website and sent sale notices to his large email list (many dealers). He displayed my items very well for sale preview. He and his assistants then auctioned my items during his regular Monday sale. Everything sold - some things at much higher prices than I expected.
