O'Hara Landscaping

I have had O'Hara for lawn services for about 5 months now. They are by far the most professional, polite & responsive company I have had for lawn service. They do regular fertilization, mowing, trimming & weeding at my house. My grass is looking better than it has in the 8 years I have lived at my house. The mow crews are polite & profession, same with the fertilization crews. They will knock on my door and explain the services provided (for the fertilization treatments) and answer any questions. The mow crew makes sure to blow the grass off my patio, porch & sidewalks. They are mindful to latch my gate so my dogs are safe. I appreciate the time & pride they put in to their work. Pricing is reasonable. After dealing with less reputable companies in the past, I highly recommend O'Hara!

We asked O'Hara for a bid because they had done a consistent job mowing our lawn weekly (after it took 3 emails and 2 phone calls over 2 months to get them to bid the mowing). Tim provided a bid for $785 which was far too high for the amount of work, we NEVER ok'ed the bid and proceeded to do the work on our own. We had done about half of the work ourselves before coming home a week later to find the very small remaining amount of work completed after we had been gone for about 2 hours. Soon we received a bill for $785.

O'Hara was responsive, Tim Kircher provided me with a quote within a day after visiting and visually inspecting my lawn. Their prices were a bit steep, but I am very impressed with the job they did. I did not witness them while they performed the job, but when I came back from work in the evening, the yard was cleaned up, all the beds were freshly mulched and all perennials had been pruned to shape. For some reason, with the previous company, the yard never looked that good. Its peace of mind but that does come at a price. I am hoping that they will maintain the lawn going forward and it will look even better in the years to come. I would recommend them highly to everyone. I wish they would make their prices a bit more reasonable.

As stated, we use this company for various services. Most recently for core aeration and seeding. They send a small army and the work is done efficiently and thorough. I called one day from work to see if a crew could come out and clean the beds around the trees and back porch area.....by the time I got home from work....it was done....mulched, etc. Just one example....believe me they will make your life easier.

The owner bid the job and I liked him the best because he actually listened to what I wanted, understood what I wanted, and did not question me when I said I wanted ALL the Ivy on the side of my house to be taken out. The other contractors did not listen to me and even tried to persuade me to keep some/all the Ivy (I wanted nothing to do with it!). He also was very nice, detailed-oriented and very thorough in his talk about my proposed project as well as in his actual estimate/bid. On the only day of the job, the five workers promptly arrived at 7:30 a.m. sharp and began work as requested. They removed all debris from the flower beds, the potted plants and in/around the rock garden. They then laid mulch in all appropriate places and swept the excess off my walkways/paths around my pool/patio. Then, they removed all plant material including the Ivy from the side of my house. They sprayed, laid weed mat, edged with decorative brick and filled in with colored medium-sized gravel that matched my pool/patio. They did not stop until all desired work was completed in full. The owner came out the next day to speak with us personally to make sure his workers did a good job and did the right job. All in all, a simple yet hard job that this company made easy and painless! I highly recommend this company to anyone and would/will definitely use them again!

They do a good job with removing the leaves. I guess you have to be careful in terms of how they bill you. They actually blew the leaves in my yard and they billed me for a certain period of time when they actually weren't there the whole time. I had to clarify it but there wasn't anything serious. It was a mistake and they quickly changed everything appropriately.

We were having some issues with our previous lawn service company. I made the decision to part ways with them although we had used them for over four years. Called several other company's and had mixed results of the bizarre kind.....some didn't even bother to return a phone call. Finally, I contacted O'Hara Landscape/Lawn Service Inc. and was put through to Kevin McHugh. Our lawn was in poor shape due to other's promising to come out ....never to show, etc. He assured me that they could indeed send a crew out and fairly soon....and he came out personally the next day to meet with me and go over some pricing and options for our future needs. Within two days of contacting them our lawn was taken care of.....looks Great....and we are being charged the same amount as the previous company. Amazing what a nice feeling it is to deal with a company that CARES. I was really getting a negative association going with the whole industry....but O'Hara's has pleasantly changed my mind. I've been looking for a company that approaches the client as a partner, offers a complete range of services, and delivers them in a timely and professional manner. Thankfully we have found that and I feel it will be for many years to come.

The service was ok and they were prompt with the scheduled appointment, but the workers did not speak English, but they did a good job with my hedges.

They send out 3 to 4 people each week and they are very nice and respectful of my property. They do a great job and arrive on time. I never have a problem with their service and I am very satisfied with the work performed.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THE COST WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE, BUT THEY DID VERY GOOD WORK. THE ESTIMATE WAS GIVEN FOR $400, AND THEN THE BILL ENDED UP BEING $585. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, AND QUICK TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE.
