MOVING ASSISTANCE CENTER

It was a complicated move, forced by MODOT who took my house and paid for the move. The new house was not ready and they kindly postponed the move a week. This turned out to be an enormous error, since the rest of the moving was performed at odd hours by men in a great rush to go elsewhere. This added to the stress of the move, since I never knew exactly when they were going to turn up or how long they would spend. It took almost a month for the entire job to be (almost) finished. In the end, a large number of cartons were left in my attic, which I paid to have removed (since they were too heavy for me), and some bookshelves, which they dismantled were never re-assembled. They would be great for relatively simple moves, but I'd avoid them if the move was difficult and/or complicated.

THEY PACKED ALL GOODS GOING FROM LARGE HOUSE TO SMALL CONDO, *UNPACKED* ALL BOXES AT DESTINATION, MADE OUR UNIT READY TO OCCUPY. THEN THEY REMOVED RESIDUAL THINGS FROM THE HOUSE AND TOOK THEM TO AN AUCTION CENTER. AFTER THE SALE, THEY SENT ME AN ITEMIZED LIST OF SALES AND A CHECK.
