MIRELLI TUCKPOINTING LLC

We were selling home and had two other contractors on the roof. Mirelli was flexible enough to work with the other contractors and timely to complete the project on time. The only issue I had was with their billing department. Although I paid immediately, we were sent a request to pay 2 weeks later. I recommend this firm

They are a little slow to respond to things. They need to do what they said they were going to do, they were supposed to water proof the job on the chimney.

BEWARE if you are using this company to bid on work. Prices are unrealistic.

First, my phone call was returned the same day. Second, the owner scheduled and came out to give me a quote within 2-3 days. Third, the work was scheduled quickly and the two-man team who came to do the work were pleasant, efficient and professional. They moved and replaced the chair and planters I had on the porch and were glad to answer all my questions about the work involved, time frame for completion, etc.

Excellent. The company promptly called me back and scheduled the work. The workers were very efficient and did an excellent job. I'd definitely give them a thumbs up in every way. One word to folks doing this...it generates a ton of dust, so you might want to warn your neighbors and remove any items nearby (they DO clean up afterwards, but still it's a lot of dust!)

It was amazing. Looks so much better and the serviceman did a great job. I was really impressed and they were able to work us in two days after I called them. They even finished the job in 1 day.

It looks fantastic! There was about a 6-8 week delay, but the company was very good about providing updates on when they could get out to do the work, and I felt they worked hard to fit me in so that the roof could get done in time. It was worth the wait for quality work. Staff was pleasant and clean up was done well.

Everything was great. I was told it would be approximately a 6 week wait. 2 weeks later they called and said they could get the work done the next day. The job was done professionally and looks great. Clean up was perfect. Great experience.

I had some tuckpointing and masonry repair on my front porch at the joint of the brick and concrete.. The work done was great and I couldn't tell there had been any repair. I was very happy with the result and will definitely have Mirelli back for future work that I need.

Several workers came out to take care of numerous issues with my brick work and chimney. They were professional, even throwing down drop cloths to contain the mess. They matched mortar color and brick color very well. When they finished, they even hosed down the work area and my house (there was substantial dust from grinding out old mortar and brick.) They finished the job in one day, and it looks GREAT! My neighbor came over, and I gave him the tour. He also needs work, and he liked the job as well. While I initially thought the bid was a little high, I have seen the work neighbors had done by different (less expensive) companies, and their work was shoddy. Mirelli was recommended to me by a friend, and I read other Angie's List reviews and BBB reviews. I am so glad I went with Mirelli. It's really beautiful work. The coupon did help with such a large job. I will use Mirelli again.

I called for an estimate on tuckpointing. John Mirelli came out, and I received an estimate the next day. They tuckpointed one end of house and repaired a settlement crack in the bricks. Also added some weep holes. They were professional, courteous and did a great job. Would definitely recommend them to others.

My husband called their office to set up an appointment for an estimate concerning some masonry repair work and a front steps rebuild. He was told by the receptionist of this 25-year old masonry contractor that she wasn't sure if Granite City (right across the river from St. Louis) was in their service area and that she would have to check with Mr. Mirelli to verify. After taking my husband's details, she stated they would contact him to let him know. My husband, having some experience with contractors and their gerrymandered service areas and some contractors predilections for not responding to requests for estimates in areas they would prefer not to work in,, asked for an response from the company within 48 hours so we could continue our search for another contractor. He was assured he would be contacted by the next business day and would not "be left hanging". Needless to say we did not hear from the Mirellis and were indeed "left hanging."

It went great. Tuck pointing completed in two days, waterproofing in one day a month later. Thorough cleanup. Nice people and professional.

They came when they said, charged what they said, and I personally think they did an A+ quality job.

They seemed very knowledgable and the final cost was exactly what they estimated which we appreciated.

They were very prompt when showing up to do the work. Did everything that needed done plus a few little extras. And cleaned up everything. Someone showed up to do a final inspection with me which was great.

They came out while I was away at a convention. In fact, they called to set things up while I was at the convention. I explained that the gate to the back yard was locked and I would not be able to open it for them if they came while I was away, but that turned out to be no problem. They just used ladders to go over it and did tuckpointing over the whole house wherever it was needed. By the time I got home, they were done and gone and had cleaned everything up beautifully. They did a great job. I was very pleased. The only sign that they had even been there was the slightest bit of red dust in a few places (I had to look hard for it) and the presence of fresh, solid mortar between the bricks. I couldn't have been more pleased. I had only the slightest of complaints regarding their getting back to me whenever I called with questions and to set things up. Before the work was done, I called on a couple of occasions and left messages and it took a second call to get an answer. That's the reason for the "B" rating on responsiveness, but even so, they did respond and, again, I was very pleased with their work. I have been a little slow about posting this review. I nearly forgot to do it, but I rely heavily on reviews by Angie's List members, and I want to do my part as well, so while I had a few minutes this morning, I thought it was time, I also have had six months to gauge how well the tuckpointing has helped to keep moisture to a minimum inside on my plaster walls. I have had a lot of efflorescence from that moisture, but it appears that the work has nearly stopped that as well. Now it's time to get the plaster fixed!

It went very well. The building was in dire need of tuck pointing! The crew showed up in mass and got the job done in three days. They left no mess outside. It was amazing. I would however suggest that they remind the customer to have all windows, etc closed as the resulting dust inside the first floor unit was pretty severe. Now let me say one more amazing thing about Mirelli. I had a structural engineer inspect two brick pillars that supported the back porches and the engineer said they were fine. I asked Mirelli to spot tuck point the pillars. After Mirelli tested the brick pillars I was told that they were not structurally sound. I was very concerned about this so I called the engineering firm again and asked for the original engineer to come out and inspect it again. Well lo and behold this time the structural engineer said the pillars were not safe. The engineer also said that when he was leaving the office to inspect the pillars again he asked a seasoned co-worker what he thought and the response was "If Mirelli says the pillars aren't safe then they aren't safe." If it had not been for the expertise and high ethics of John Mirelli I would have proceeded with the false belief that the porches were safe. Someone could have been severely hurt using those porches or God forbid worse! I am profoundly grateful to the Mirelli crew and John Mirelli for keeping my family safe. Thank you. Thank you. I received a prompt & professional bid within a week of contacting Mirelli Tuck-pointing.They scheduled my job into theirs which took about 3 weeks. I was pleased with their promptness. The day they did the work the two gentlemen that came were very professional, polite, & understanding of my requests. They did an excellent job from start to finish. I thought sure I would have to clean up a mess left behind but to my surprise & pleasure there was none. I would/will have Mirelli back when the need arises & will share my great experience with friends & neighbors. What a great company to do business with. Thank You!
