Description of Work: We purchased an older home in terrible shape that needed whole-house tuckpointing. Mirelli's bid was higher than others, and did not include as many areas as the other bids had. We went with another contractor who had tuckpointed my aunt's historic home in Hannibal, MO. In hindsight, we should have hired Mirelli.

Description of Work: They spotpointed the front stone walk and joint betweenthe porch and walk. Did an excellent job of matching. |Powerwashed the chimney to remove years of mold/mildew buildup, then sealed later. They did a great job and the brick looked clean and new. They protected the plants below the chimney.

Description of Work: I got an estimate from Mirelli for chimney repair and it wasn’t very feasible. They gave me an estimate that was double what every other service provider gave me. They came out when we weren’t there so there was no interaction with them whatsoever.

Description of Work: Contacted them to provide estimate for chimney repair. They arrived on the agreed upon date, which was very prompt, but we were not home at the time. They had told us that if we were not home, they would just email the proposal. While we were out, they called to say the chimney was too tall for them to work on, but they would email us some recommendations on who to contact. It has been a couple of weeks and we have not heard anything.

Description of Work: Excellent work by the workmen. They did an excellent job of repairing our chimney including replacing several bricks that matched the original bricks and sealing up the flashing around the base of the chimney. Their cleanup was super. You couldn't tell that anyone had been here except for the "new" chimney. The price was very reasonable. In fact, I had expected to pay 2-3 times their cost for the amount of work that needed to be done!! Thank you.

Description of Work: I called the company to arrange to get a bid for tuckpointing. Apparently, the company does not maintain a staffed office so I was only able to leave a voice message. I did not hear back from anyone until the next day when I received a voice mail message. I was a bit miffed that the company would not return a call to arrange a bid until more than 24 hours later so I did not follow up at that time. After getting two very diffent bids, I called this company again because I had heard and kept hearing good things about their work. I had the same experience--no one answered the phone and when I left a voice message, I did not receive a return call.

Description of Work: I am updating my previous report...about 6-7 months after the original service, the mortar that had been promised to match had not lightened up to resemble the original mortart. Mirelli had told me that it could be 6 months before the mortar cured, so I expected the wait. But after that time, the mortar still didn't match. So I sent an email and almost immediately received a response from the lovely woman (her name escapes me) who runs the office. She was SO apologetic and immediately sent someone to look at the problem. Then, a few weeks later, they came back and redid the mortar (which now, of course, needs to cure) but all of this completely without further contacting them on my part and ZERO trouble...they dealt with my 90 year old mother since I was out of town and were -- as everyone who works at the company appears to be -- unfailingly efficient, polite, thorough and just plain nice. And of course, no charge. These is a wonderful company and good people at all levels and I would not hesitate to recommend them or call them again. Fast forward another year, to around April of 2011...the SECOND application of mortar was much like the first...too dark. I emailed and got a reply from Mr. Mirelli himself, who came out and looked at the mortar and then sent another team out to redo it AGAIN. So this would be the third time they had been here, all in the interest of making it right. Of course, now it needs to cure but it is much closer to the correct color. All for absolutely no charge. If you are looking for someone to do tuckpointing, masonry, etc. you can stop here, I can't imagine anyone who would do a better job and, if you happen to be dissatisfied, even if it is for cosmetic reasons, who will bend over backwards to solve any problems and stand by their work. If I could given them higher than an A plus, I would.

Description of Work: Mr. Mirelli came out to inspect my home in September and said he would drop an estimate in the mail. I never heard back from him and did not receive the estimate. I have decided to go with another company and the work has now been completed.

Description of Work: Asked for a bid via internet with no reply: made a phone call and they were here the next day, unannounced; did their thing, left the bid in the door and never showed their face. Bid was almost 3 times higher than the next lowest bid. Obviously did not want the job.

Two weeks later I called back and spoke to a lady in his office, who promised to resend the estimate, as I had never received it. Again, nothing came in the mail and nobody called me back to follow-up either. I guess, the job wasn't big enough for them to bother...
