It was great. They were great. I just did some research on Angie's list and found a different company that had a cheaper monthly service where you don't have to have a year or two year contract and you can cancel at any time and the alarm system is still great.
Description of Work: Installed a wired alarm system.

We have used this company for more than 10 years. Typically they are very good with responding to calls for service and alerting us of alarm monitoring problems. Actually, I would give the monitoring staff an "A." However, I use them for two addressees, one is a rental property address. I have been trying for a year - since the beginning of 2014 - to switch billing for the alarm to the rental property to the tenant's name. Both myself and the tenant have called the company. Additionally, I have sent several faxes and letters informing the company informing them that I no longer want to pay for the monitoring at the rental property. Other tan receiving a form for the tenant to complete in early 2014, I have received NO response, and they are continuing to charge me for both my residential and the rental property's alarm monitoring services. Also, I have asked them to provide information required by my insurance company so that I can get a discount on my property instance rate - also NO response. I am canceling my service from them and will find another more responsive alarm company.
Description of Work: Nothing. That is the point. Administrative billing office actually gets an F for customer service.

Description of Work: The control panel had low battery. They called to let me know which is good. So when i made arrangements to have them service it they told me that they were gonna send someone in. The guy called and said he can come friday between 9:30-10:00 am. Come that day, it was 10:10 am and no one showed up. Called him and he told me that he couldn't help me ad he got fired. I called midwest alarms and they don't seem to know about the service that their supposed to do. Now they said that they can send the battery right away and they can walk me thru replacing it. It's been several days and no battery yet.

Contacted company on 10-8-12 and spoke with Amanda. Company responded immediately and set up date to install cameras on 10-24. Called on evening of 10-23 and stated that he could not arrive until 0900 to 0930 on 10-25. Did not arrive until 1030 on 10-25. Made a quick decision that he could only install 2 cameras due to possibe difficulty installing those 2 cameras. Departed my home at 1050. Stated he was sorry he couldn't help me. Al Wallace

The price is very reasonable. I have used them for 30 years. They are very responsive with any problems. If the alarm goes off the police come out immediately. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: This is for a constant alarm service.

The owner was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and sold me the service. The man who came to activate the system was late, but once he got here was very professional, put in the upgrades with a minimum of fuss. Fully explained my system to me so that I could operate it easily. When I had some false alarms, he came back out and readjusted the sensors at no charge. Overall, I felt they did good work.
Description of Work: I called 3 different companies. Midwest was the only company that did not try to sell me a whole new system and simply reactivated the built in system that came with the house. For this they charged me $50.00. I added some upgrades, and the they worked with me until all the bugs were worked out of the system.

I think we could get better service somewhere else but I haven't looked yet. They don't send my bills out in time and they do not offer direct payment. As far as response time, I guess they are ok. If we have a false alarm they are on the phone in a hurry.

We are extremely satisfied with the customer service of this company. The people we have dealt with are professional, informative, and very interested in making sure our home was completely secure. I feel safe in my home and don't have to worry when I'm away.
