+ 0 moreWe have done extensive home renovations over the 10 years we have owned our home (full kitchen renovation, new floors throughout the house, new siding, windows, two bathrooms, etc). We have worked with many different contractors and consider ourselves pretty well-versed in home renovations at this point. Jay Simon of Metropolitan Build is hands-down the best contractor we have worked with. This was a large project and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Jay was extremely responsive throughout the entire process. He provided us with weekly written updates and gave them to us in person each week. Any concerns we had along the way were addressed immediately. Jay's attention to detail is really second to none and we felt that his commitment to quality also showed in the subcontractors he hired. On a more personal note, Jay is just a genuinely good person. We enjoyed getting to know him and felt more than comfortable having him in our home. We would not hesitate to hire him again or to recommend him to our friends and family.
Description of Work: We added two bedrooms above our garage and converted an existing bedroom into a hallway and bathroom.

Metropolitan Build offers the following services: At Metropolitan Build, we offer a wide array of residential and commercial design and construction services including kitchen and bath remodels, great room remodels, basement remodeling, home office additions, new home additions, custom home design and construction, whole house remodels, historic restoration, historic renovation, contemporary home remodels, arts & crafts home renovations, and custom home design and renovation services.
We do not provide minor handyman services. If you need a leaky faucet repaired, an air conditioning unit serviced, your cedar fence stained, or security system installed...we wish you luck on those projects, but we are likely not the best call you could make. We provide medium-to-large scale, comprehensive design and construction services for home and office...best to leave the smaller jobs to those specialists or to a handyman.
