I had two or three estimates before and this company was a little less expensive than others. They moved the heavier items and did a very good job. I am very pleased with their service.

I wrote a letter of commendation to one of their owners, that read, "I would like to commend the gentlemen that performed our move from XXXX to YYYYY last Monday, Aug. 13. Unfortunately, as we've unpacked the boxes, I have misplaced the paper with their names, and would be most appreciative if you would look up their names and tell them how appreciative we are of their care and attentiveness during our move. They treated every one of our items, no matter how big or small, as if it were their own. Extra time and care...I am amazed! You are the most careful movers I've ever used, and I'm no spring chicken (grin)."

McGuire was amazing! We will be hiring them again soon. They were on time, polite, available at our schedule, and very reasonable. We had 2 trucks and six wonderful movers for about 9 hours, and the price included a discount, for being an Angie's List member. Can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone was very easy to deal with, very careful with our things, and worked very quickly.

Kevin McGuire visited our house some three weeks before the move to review the job requirements and confirm the date (2/19/07) of move and the estimated cost. On the morning of the move, two trucks with four men arrived promptly at 8:30 am. They worked efficiently to remove and carefully pack into the trucks the contents of a 10 room house in 2.5 hours. The trucks departed and arrived at the new location 30 minutes later. They unloaded and placed furniture and appliances per our instructions in another 2.5 hours. We incurred some minor damage (broken wood on a bed post and a box spring), plus scuff marks on tables and chest-of-drawers. On our telephone request, McGuire sent their furniture repair employee who made all repairs to our satisfaction. McGuire states that they use only their own employees for moves, and do not hire temporary help. We were impressed with the care, efficiency and courteousness of the movers, and with the follow up in handling our claim.

We hired them based on recommendations made on Angie's List. But, our closing date changed, and we had to switch our moving date at the last minute. They were not available for our new date, but squeezed us in on the next date possible. When we decided to hire another company who was available on our preferred date, McGuire had no problem with our cancellation. No fees or contracts, made this process stress free. We would try them again, and still recommend them to others. Dan was so nice, even though we had to cancel three days prior to our original moving date.

Very pleasant experience overall. Best aspects: (1)immediate return of phone calls, (2)Kevin came to do "walk through" and estimate price within 48 hours of initial contact, (3)packers and movers arrived on time and were hardworking and pleasant, (4)local company, and (5)no subs, all are employed by McGuire and do their jobs well. Final price matched estimate.

Very reasonable. Four men worked for me. Well pleased with all of them. They were here about 4 hours.

Very good. They estimated that the move would take 8 hours with four movers and two trucks. It actually took seven hours. The movers were very professional. They knew how to get even the big, heavy stuff out of one basement and into the other with steep, narrow steps. The new house has hardwood floors that were just refinished. They were very careful not to scratch them. They put plastic down on the upstairs carpeting. They waited for my husband to connect the TV and stereo so they could help move the entertainment center back against the wall. They did accidentally drop one piece of our bed, but offered to repair it right away. We will definitely get them to move the rest of our furniture when the time comes.

They showed up promptly at 7:30am as promised. All three of the workers were very courteous and professional. Plus they were very careful with all of my furniture and everything else for that matter.

Was very pleased. Kevin came out before move to estimate the hours and price. The movers were efficient and fast. Everything was packed and transported satisfactorily.

THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL LEADING UP TO THE MOVE, AND THE MOVERS WERE PRETTY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE LATE, WHICH CAUSED SOME PROBLEMS AND THEY TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO MOVE US, WHICH RAISED THE COST ABOVE WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

OVERALL, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THAT, AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE GUYS ON THE JOB WERE MORE INTERESTED IN GETTING OUT OF THERE THAN THEY WERE IN MOVING A FEW LAST THINGS I HAD.

I WAS IN A BIND. WE PURCHASED A HOME, BUT HAD SOME WORK DONE ON IT SO WE HAD TWO HOUSES FOR AWHILE. TWO DAYS AFTER THE WORK WAS FINISHED MY HUSBAND WAS TOLD HE NEED TO GO OUT OF TOWN FOR WORK FOR TWO MONTHS. HE NEEDED TO LEAVE IN THREE DAYS. SO I HAD TO FIND MOVERS TO MOVE US THE NEXT DAY. THIS WAS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT WOULD AGREE TO DO THE JOB AND NOT CHARGE ME EXTRA FOR BEING LAST MINUTE. THE CREW WERE NICE AND UNDERSTANDING THAT NOT EVERYTHING WAS PACKED WHEN THEY ARRIVED AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE JOB DONE IN 5 HOURS.

WE HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST, AND WE'LL PROBABLY USE THEM AGAIN.
