I called and explained the type of material to be disposed of and the amount. The person on the phone was very helpful - gave several possible options. All costs were explained up front. I requested a dumpster for 2 days later - they could have done it the next day, but I didn't need it then. The dumpster was dropped off around noon. It was going near an overhanging tree, so it was a tight fit, but the drivers had not problems dropping off or picking up without damaging the tree. Since we paid by credit card, no one needed to be home either time. I called Monday morning for pickup, and it was picked up Tuesday. The dumpster weighed more than the prepaid weight limit (I knew we would - it was mostly rocks and concrete), so they sent a second bill with the extra cost, along with a copy of the paperwork from the landfill showing the weight. I was surprised that they prorated per ton, rather than rounding up to the nearest whole ton. All in all, a good experience.

Dumpster was scheduled for Saturday usage with a drop-off time of 3pm or after on Friday and pick-up time on Monday after 6am. Fortunately I'd taken the whole day off instead of just the afternoon because it arrived at 9:30am Friday morning. The delivery guy was polite and surprised at the 3pm time, and assured me I wouldn't be charged extra. I was also provided with a list of what could and couldn't go into the dumpster. The dumpster itself was easy to open and clean. Pick-up time on Monday was 5:45am and rather loud. Not a bad experience, but some unexpected surprises.

Very good, no complaints. Order taken over the phone with payment by credit card. Dumpster dropped off the next day, in the driveway. Picked up on schedule (I booked pick up when I ordered). Their price was about $30 to $50.00 lower than others. Rubber tires on dumpster help prevent driveway damage.

The big challenge in getting a dumpster on short notice is a lack of availability. That was not the case with Matchbox. They fielded my call promptly and had a dumpster delivered within the twenty four hour time frame I requested. They removed it that same afternoon at my request. Very easy to work with. Company clearly has their act together.

We ordered two dumpsters from Matchbox Hauling while tearing a bricked-in hot tub out of our back yard. The dumpsters arrived and were picked up in a timely manner, but we had a miscommunication with the company that resulted in our incurring almost one hundred dollars in additional charges. The issue centered around what kinds of material we were allowed to put in a "clean fill" dumpster (which is somewhat cheaper than a standard dumpster). When ordering the dumpsters, my wife explained our needs to a customer service representative, and we came away with the impression that brick, stone, and plant matter were acceptable materials for use with the "clean fill" dumpster. After the dumpsters had been taken away, we received a letter stating that the plant matter was unacceptable, and that our credit card had been charged an additional fee of nearly one hundred dollars. If we would have had a clearer explanation of materials that qualify as "clean fill", we easily could have avoided the charges, since we already paid for two dumpsters: one for clean fill materials and one for the remaining hot tub equipment. However, we were under the impression that plant material was acceptable, we had no contract or paperwork from Matchbox concerning the definition of "clean fill" (this information was also not on their website), and our credit card was charged the extra fee without our authorization. When we called Matchbox to complain, we were told that "our customer service representatives have a lot of experience, and there's no way they would have told you that" and that "every representative is told to give a specific 'spiel' on the phone to avoid this kind of situation." Further, they could not explain why we had never received any paperwork concerning the dumpster. We were also told that "we have a lot of customers, and so it isn't possible for us to send a bill for every charge out to each customer." I came away from that conversation with the impression that Matchbox Hauling does not place a high value on ensuring that its customers understand the product they are purchasing, and does not place a high value on working with its customers toward resolution of issues. I feel that my credit card was charged without my authorization based on their assumption that their customer service representative couldn't possibly have made a mistake, and not based on the terms of any signed contract. I am still considering disputing the charge with my credit card company, and I cannot recommend Matchbox Hauling.

Delivery and pick-up on schedule. Price lowest of five companies called. No damage to driveway. If paid in advance, did not need to be home for drop off or pick up.
