+ 1 moreWe were very happy with his work. He had very good ratings online. That is what I noticed and I chose him for the job. We thought that the price was worth every penny that we paid. He was very good about meeting his deadlines. He got it done faster than he told us. He said it would be a 4-week project, but he came right in and had it finished before that deadline. He does work out of Kirkwood and we are out in the town and the country. I really would hire him again. If I had a house in Kirkwood that needed renovating, then he would be my first man to go to.
Description of Work: Mahn Custom Homes and Renovations removed a porch and put on a new porch for us that changed the look of our house in October. Mike Mahn is the guy who did the work for us. We had a porch with a roof like the roof that you would see on a shed, but it was shingled. So, he took that off and he made an entrance where the roof line was pointed. We have an arch made out of stone trimmed in brick. We did have a Tudor house and this kind of turned it into an English cottage. The other thing he did for us is a ranch and the top half of our brick house is stucco. Tudor’s have these wood beams that go vertically up your house. I never thought after living here for 23 years that a ranch should ever be made into a Tudor. I think two story houses with a Tudor design looks fine, but I thought that we didn’t qualify for a Tudor house. So, I had him take all of that wood down and then he had to re-stucco because that wood as it turns out is put there to cover the seams on the stucco panels that they put on these houses. They redid all the stucco. They also trimmed it out along the eaves and brick.

I think the quality of work is very good, Mike obviously works with the same sub-contractors as we saw "friends" from our first project back on the second. Mike is incredibly responsive and very cool under fire. I would absolutely reccomend Mike and would use him on other projects.
Description of Work: Mike remodeled a kitchen for me during the summer of 2009 and we had him do a bath for us in the fall of 2010
