I was very pleased with them. They got back to me immediately. They came out on time. They went out of their way to make it easier for me. The quote was for $4000. I will consider them for a future quote.

They were professional, courteous, and they arrived on time. The bid was submitted as expected.

The company representative was very responsive, friendly, and professional. We thought the company sounded fine. The only reason we did not choose this company was because we found another respectable competitor who gave us a quote for thousands less (who we were very happy with). Otherwise we would have hired Lane House. I would definitely look to them in the future to quote other jobs we may have.

They tore the old roof off and replaced it with a 40-year, architectural roof. They started and completed the job as they promised and were very professional. After they replace the roof in 2010, it began to leak over my breakfast room. They were pretty quick to come out and repair it. However the roof started leaking in the same place again in November and I have been calling them since then. They have not responded and every time that I call they tell me they will call me when they have an opening. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. They are very quick to come out and replace the roof but a very poor at backing up their work.

I called for an estimate and received a call a few days later asking if it was okay to come and repair my roof and gutter... I told them I was still waiting for a bid, so we started over again and Harold came out and looked at the job. I few days later I got another call to ask if they could come and make the repair, and I told them I still hadn't seen an estimate... It took a little while but I did get a bid and it was reasonable enough to accept. They came out right away and started work - and it was really, really cold. I guess it might take awhile before I can actually see the work, but all seems fine! It was a mighty confusing beginning, but it all came out fine.

The estimator/salesman (Floyd) was very friendly and knowledgeable and Lane ended up matching the price from my other quotes. Floyd said my roof would take about a day and a half because it was steep, which was fine. They started on the roof on Monday and a week later they are still not done. They left a trailer with the old roof sitting in my cul-de-sac with 2 flat tires (it's still sitting there, I believe the city is going to tow it on Monday). They did a good job on what they completed of the roof, however they did tear the awning on my back patio and dinged up the gutters a bit. Overall, I'm left wishing I would have went with someone else. Update: They finally came to remove the trailer on Monday but then took another week to finish the flashing. I had to call every single day to ask when they were going to finish. It took a total of 2 weeks to do the roof. No one ever called to ask if I was satisfied or to apologize for the fact that it took 2 weeks for a job they said would take 2 days. I would not recommend Lane Construction to anyone.

It went excellent. Out of all my estimates, he had the best presentation. It seemed like he really wanted the work.

It has gone nowhere. I'm ready to get this bid and start the work...its not a small job. If this is how it goes when they should be working to earn my business, I'm concerned about hiring them for the actual job. I don't want people who are going to show up, then disappear and communication is very important in these endeavors. So far ours has been very poor. Sorry Lane! I was ready to really like you...

I would use them again. We really liked them. They did what we agreed to and it was a pretty good price for the work they did. The communication wasn't the best when we were waiting on some vinyl though that we ordered for use on our house.

LHC started work around 9am. By 4pm my old porch was history and I have a new awesome porch. If you have an older house, I would recommend being home when this happens. My aging electrical tripped a few times with the air tools.

Workers arrived when scheduled and worked to dusk with a break for meals.They protected my air condition and neighbor's. There was no damage to plants or grass. During the roofing project some one was always cleaning the area. I was pleased with service . They did what they said they would do. The project took two days. They made sure that the bare roof was covered with tarps in case of rain.

It was great. They were prompt and inexpensive. The repairs were made before I even received my other estimates in the mail.

Both jobs went extremely well. From the start of the bidding process to the very end, everyone at Lane was very professional, punctual and easy to work with. We had two different crews for each job. One for the roofing and one for everything else. Both were fantastic. Each day the workers cleaned up the work area and some days you wouldn't have even known that major construction was being done to the house. The crew that worked on the siding, etc and installing the sliding glass door went above and beyond to make sure that we were going to be happy and added suggestions that we had not considered at first but once they were suggested, the crew took care of the changes.

called to get bid on roof, they were reasonable and got to the job quickly. Fairly simple roof structure, but the last roofer (oddly no longer in business) did a very poor job they found sagging and damaged decking. Ended up replacing most of the decking, but their price for that was reasonable. The choosing of the shingles was crazy only because there were so many choices that were so close in appearance. I don't actually like the one I chose, but that's my problem. There were some tree limbs that hung over the roof and actually laying on the roof when they were wet, and they trimmed those back for me. I really enjoyed working with them, but fair warning - if you're not a smoker or smoke bothers you, don't go to their offices - it's like going into a smoky tavern. Pretty gross, I smelled like smoke the rest of the day. I noticed that they recently moved to a new place on Lemay Ferry - I hope it's a smoke-free environment, or at least they ventilate the place well - it looks like they have more of a showroom now, they need to think about that. I know that doesn't affect their work, which was excellent, but if I'd gone to the office before getting my bid, I guess it's possible it could have affected my decision.

The entire process went extremely well. Rob Rollins at Lane Construction was very prompt in contacting me with his bid, and answering all questions. He kept in touch with me until all bids had come in, and continued to let me know how interested he was in being awarded the job. I was impressed that he promoted the company, it's Better Business Bureau Super Service rating, it's Angie's List A rating (which I already knew), their insurance coverage, lien waivers and warranties for the materials and workmanship. I appreciated that Rob was understanding of my time and travel schedule. Rather than meeting personally, we sealed the deal via telephone and fax. After the work was completed, we met at the house, surveyed the finished work and signed all paperwork. I will certainly use Lane Construction for any other work, both at this rental property as well as at our personal home.

I called Lane House Construction after finding some water damage on the inside walls of a guest room closet. The closet has two outside walls and is part of a dormer extension on the back of the house, so I wondered if it could be a leak in the roof, or from gutters, or siding. After reviewing companies in several categories on this list, I gave Lane House a call. I was pleasantly surprised that someone actually answered the phone rather than just having a recording. The person at Lane House listened carefully as I detailed the problem and said someone could definitely come look at it and I should expect a follow up call from one of their staff within a day or two to set up a time. The very next day I received a call from William at Lane House and we made an appointment for the following day. William showed up as promised, looked the closet over from the inside and went out to examine the roof area, gutters and siding surrounding the closet. He returned saying he couldn't really find anything wrong with the roof, gutters or siding that could be the cause of the problem. At that point I thought he?d give up, since it didn?t seem to be in his area, but he seemed genuinely to want to help in figuring out what had caused this moisture problem. In the end, an internal solution presented itself: the previous owners of the house had a custom closet built and when it was installed, they took the baseboards out of the closet so that the boards could fit close to the wall. In doing so they exposed a wide gap between the walls and the hardwood floor which could have been letting cold, damp air come in and over time it built up causing the moisture damage. William went to his truck and returned with caulking that he thought would take care of the issue and proceeded to fill the gaps, at no charge. I really appreciate that he went the extra mile to help me find a solution to my problem.

Contacted several roofing companies for estimates & utilized Angie's List extensively to get a "short list". Talked to Lane House rep on Tuesday (7/20/2010) and decided to contract with them. They had materials & a crew on site on Thursday morning (7/22/20102) & completed the job in 2.5 days. Crews cleaned up as they went and were careful around landscaping & A/C, using tarps to cover up & catch old material being removed. Only exception was the delivery trucks drove off of driveway into grass & damaged one of the lawn sprinkler heads (had to be replaced). They started early (before 7:00 AM) & worked until dark both Thursday & Friday. They finished up on Saturday morning, cleaned up very nicely & the job looks great. Our house has steep pitch over much of the roof & includes quite a few cuts, including an octagonal roof over the kitchen area, two dormers and a sky light. They installed ice & water sealer in all valleys & around the skylight & chimney and resealed all flashing. The supervisor noticed a crack in the bricks over the garage close to where we had a leak, and sealed this from the top to the roof. They used 6 nails on each shingle and all of the cuts on the ends are neat & even. The crews generally worked in pairs & it was very evident they were experienced & used to working together. I would not hesitate to use them again. Not necessarily the cheapest but quality of work, fully insured & licensed made this a good value for the money.

The quality of the work was excellent. They also did a great job cleaning up after the work was finished. Everyone was friendly. We feel the company was very thorough, they noticed the damage to the roof after starting the job and did not proceed until letting us know and gaining the OK to repair it. My only complaint was that there was a little communication lapse. After a great deal of enthusiasm to start the job, they did not begin until a full day after we understood the job was to begin. Not a big deal but a simple phone call to let us know would have been nice. The job was then finished within a very reasonable amount of time (1 and 1/2 days). Also one of the drainage pipes was clogged. The problem was noted and we were informed. However, without telling us it had not been resolved, the gutter was attached to the clogged pipe. A small problem which was easily resolved a couple of weeks later.

We called them and twice they did not come out when they said that they would. It was a negative experience. They said they would come out one day but they did not, then they missed us again twice more after that. They did make sure to call after the no show though, but after three misses its ridiculous.

The gentleman doing the estimate was very helpful. Their prices were very competitive. The work was completed professionally and in a timely fashion. We had a couple of details to sort out when the workmen were finished, but the company promptly resolved all issues. We were very pleased with all aspects of their service.

They started earlier than expected. We weren't supposed to pay until job complete, but due to a my husband's father's death, we paid a large chunk when they were close to being finished because we were going out of town. Then paid another sum when the gutters were finished. We were waiting for them to install some windows due to some new construction that went along with the chimney caps. We were going to pay the final small amount when that was finished. That's when the owner got ugly with my husband and demanded payment. Then they had replaced a flat roof we have with a skylight, and after the first big rain the skylight leaked. They said it wasn't their fault. They did finally come out and tear out what they had done because it was making the skylight leak. It is still leaking now, and we have to deal with it. They never came back and finished off the chimney caps. We are happy with the main roof. It looks good and doesn't leak. The salesman was nice enough, but the owner was very rude.

Everything was fine. Got estimate in December and had the work done in March. Dave came out and explained everything to me and put it all in writing. Work took 2 days. No complaints.
