KEN JONES WINDOWS & EXTERIORS

Ken and his crew are the greatest! They replaced all of the windows in my two-story home AND all of the windows in my last home, about ten years ago. Yes - a repeat customer. Excellent fit and finish and the nicest guys to have around. Not only trustworthy but before you know it, the windows are all installed and you're smiling - at Ken AND the windows!

He always does a great job. He's awesome.

He came to my home in the evening and provided product details and an estimate. He arrived on time and completed the work on time, and left the work space immaculate. Ken is exactly the type of person you want to hire for big projects. He is friendly, professional and trustworthy.

I called for an estimate several months ago. The gentleman came on time and was very professional. I expected to get an estimate in a few days but I never heard back. I called, left a message, but still nothing.

I called back several times over the next few months for an estimate. Several times my call was not returned. Other times I was told it was a busy time and the estimate would be forthcoming soon. He also seemed jealous of other estimates I was getting and said, "I can't compete on price." Finally he told me that if I was comparing his vinyl windows with another company's fiberglass, I should just go with them. I said I don't want fiberglass, I want vinyl, and I am still waiting for his estimate. Then he said he cannot provide service for me and refused to explain why. He reminds me of the Soup Nazi--- "NO WINDOWS FOR YOU!!!"

Overall the job went very well. Not only was Ken the lowest bidder he projected an air of professionalism and offered his opinion when he thought, oe knew, I might not be making the correct decision and then explained why. To me, knowing why he thought there was a better option really put him ahead of the other bidders becase he treated me as an intelligent adult who just needed a little education is his field of expertise. When a contractor can't or won't answer my questions I really hesitate to have them do the work. In addition to regular windows there were 3 clerestory windows replaced. Those windows followed the roof line of my cathedral ceiling and had to be measured very precisely. Ken measured them two different times to be certain of the measurements and angles involved. They fit beautifully. The trim-out work was also done with precision and looks great.

The person who came did an excellent job and he was very professional. The only problem I had with him is that he did not return my calls promptly and I told him about this. I am planning to get a back door put by him. He did a good job and I will definitely use his again.

It was a fantastic experience and I'd absolutely use Ken again(I am, actually). The windows are very nice(good quality for the price)and have made such a wonderful difference in my house. Ken and his brother completed the job, and were incredibly professional and careful throughout the entire project. I received several estimates and advice from many people before selecting Ken, and I'm very glad I did. His bid was competitive(only one was cheaper)and the quality of his work/product is great.

The entire experience was fantastic, we originally planned to review four proposals but decided to go with Ken after just two quotes from contractors. He arrived on time for the initial appointment, presented a sample of the window, and we discussed the work to be performed. After he left, my wife and I hoped his quote would be the best just for the fact he seemed very knowledgeable and personable (we liked the windows too). We established an installation date and time, he was there on time and the work was finished in the time frame we discussed. The old windows were removed and new ones installed in one day! The remaining two days entailed the finish work on the exterior of the house. We barley knew they were here and the results were better than expected, as was the price! The final product looks and works great, and all construction debris was removed. I would HIGHLY recommend Ken Jones to anyone considering this type of home improvement.

He is very nice and helpful. The bid was a little high but he offered up suggestions on alternatives. I would highly recommend them.

I think that it was a great experience. Ken and his brother are the ones that did the installation. They did a great job and were very conscientious with the work that they were doing. The product that he chose for the home was a great quality window and they were very reasonably priced.

Mr. Jones arrived promptly to inspect the job. He provided a written estimate within a few days and the work was completed within the time frame he had provided for the windows to come in. I wish all contractors were as competent and as easy to work with as Mr. Jones.

I called Ken for an estimate and received one in the mail. I returned the signed estimate/contract and Ken arrived the day after to trim the windows. He was very professional and courteous. We are very pleased with his work.

Very displeased with his lack of communication.

As soon as I called him, he came out. He even made an extra trip before he did the work to show us what the window looked like. After doing the work, he thought the molding was too thin, so he went to a local home improvement store to find the right size. He was a great craftsman. The window is beautiful.

I called Mr. Jones the day we set for him to come to my home and write an estimate to replace 8 windows with aluminum clad wood windows. I called approximately 20 minutes prior to appointment, to advise I would be 10-15 mins late. He said," I am glad you called I am still on another job and I can't get there for a couple of hours". When he showed up, he was unprofessional, his sample window about fell apart during his demonstration and he kept insisting, "are you sure you need wood-clad windows." I advised Mr. Jones City Hall is opened and you can ask yourself. I live in a Historic District where building codes are strict. He kept bringing up vinyl windows and gave me a verbal estimate of $4200 for 8 vinyl windows. Then he never mailed an estimate for the wood clad windows!!!!!! I have received a bid from another compay for 8 wood-clad windows for $5000. Mr. Jones price for vinyl appears too high.

We were extremely pleased with the work of Ken Jones and his brother Roger. Shortly after my call, Ken called to set up an appointment and was very prompt for the meeting. He showed us a sample of the vinyl replacement window and explained the features in detail. He examined and measured our windows and noted the rotting areas of the window sills on two windows. We enjoyed talking with him and he provided his written estimate for the windows and to install two storm doors the next day. We were impressed with Ken and thought his estimate was fair and reasonable so we accepted the bid and called to notify him that day. He had agreed to pick up the storm doors we purchased and when we called to advise of our purchase; he met us at the store to put the doors in his vehicle. We were amazed, it has been a long time since we have had such fine service as Ken provided. His office scheduled the installation and Ken and his brother arrived to initiate the work. I was impressed with the quality and workmanship of Ken and his brother Roger. They worked very efficiently and cleaned up the areas as well. Ken showed me how he repaired the rotted wood areas before moving on to replacing the windows. The job took two days including installing the new storm doors and repairing an entry door that did not close properly. Before he left, Ken adjusted another storm door threshhold that was not even a part of his job. We were most impressed by the quality and workmanship of Ken Jones Windows & Exteriors. We will use Ken again when it is time to replace our other windows and would highly recommend Ken's company to friends and neighbors.

Ken spent a long time with us answering our questions and taking measurements when he came to give an estimate. We did not feel rushed as he has a very patient and easy going manner. He and his brother came to do the work - it took a couple days. We were very impressed with the quality of their work, attention to detail, and the amount of mess they DIDN'T make! The first day, after Ken went home, Ken heard that there was a small chance of rain, so he called back to ask if he could come back to cover an exposed sill in case it did in fact rain. It didn't rain, but it does indicate Ken's level of commitment to the quality of his work. When Ken was working on an upstairs window, he noticed that a drain pipe which he needed to remove to get to the outside trim was clogged and that a piece from the gutter was missing, so he unclogged the pipe and fixed the gutter problem for us. Have nothing but praise for Ken Jones.

Very professional and clear. Got a better price elsewhere, but was leaning towards him anyway! Money rules, unfortunately.

From the beginning Ken was wonderful to work with. We scheduled him to come over and give us a bid, he got us in that week and arrived on time. His bid was competitive and he was so friendly we decided to use him. We scheduled the work date and he arrived on time and completed the job within one day. The windows look amazing. He cleaned up nicely and removed all of the old windows from our property. We could not ask for anything more when working with a contractor. He was professional, friendly, and did high quality work. I would suggest him to anyone.

The guy was very nice and personable. He arrived on time to my home. He was very professional and did a good job! Out of 3 other estimates, their's was two thirds the cost. They were very reasonable and I would use them again!

Ken and his brother arrived as scheduled, and installed 1/2 of the windows, as they had stipulated. I was not even aware of their presence. They cleaned everything as they worked, and were as non intrusive as possible. Ken even rinsed off my outside A/C compressor because he said it needed it. The windows were wonderful, and I could immediately feel a difference in the house. When I put my hand against the pane, they were cool, in spite of the blazing summer sun. I could have kicked myself for not doing this long ago. The remainder of the windows were completed in the next couple of days and the trim is being completed as I write. Ken is an amazingly conscientious workman and I would recommend him unequivocally to anyone seeking window replacement. His prices appear to be lower than others and he has no need to sell himself. His product and his straightforward manner will make you instinctively trust him. He is now beginning on my neighbor's home.

We were VERY pleased with the work by this small two-man company! Mr. Jones and his brother did an amazing job! During the bid process, he brought with him a full-size window as a sample. His demo about the Low-E windows was very informative as well. The bid he gave us was significantly lower than the other bids received (including one from a large local company). He also split the bid apart so we could decide which windows we could afford now. We'll be using him again for our upstairs windows within the year. We were MOST impressed with the clean-up. This was a two-day job, but you would never have known major work was done in our home after either work day. They did a great job picking up any mess, avoiding trampling on our flowers, and re-arranging furniture back into place. They even re-installed our window flower boxes! We will definitely use this company again and will tell all our friends about them!

Shortly after arriving at our house, Ken figured out that we needed just a few windows replaced, not all of them. He told me he really didn't do that kind of work, but even so, took the time to measure the bad windows, explain what had to be done and suggest other companies that did what we were looking for. He also provided a high estimate of what he would have to charge. We did in fact go elsewhere, but Ken's professionalism and courtesy made me (almost!) regret that we didn't need the complete re-windowing he offered.

Excellent. Mr. Jones was on-time for his bid appointment, patiently answered my questions, brought in a full-size window from his truck to show me and dropped off his easy-to-understand bid within two days. I received three other bids and he was the only one who assured me that he could make the interior frame look as good after the install as it did before. The quality of the work is as near to perfection as I've seen. Plus he was agreeable to doing some windows now and some further down the road. There was no mess left behind and he called me after the install to make sure I was happy. Very very fine work. Not the cheapest bid, but the quality of window and of workmanship made it worth the slightly higher cost.
