I called this company based on the Angie's list reviews. I made an appt. with Jon to come out on Wed. March 25th.at 8 a.m. He was at least on time. He was a man of few words. He gave me no greeting and just stood and looked at me. I offered a hand shake and then began the conversation about my project. He listened and asked NO questions. I proceeded to tell him about what I wanted. Again, he listened and offered no response. He did measure the wall and then said he would go outside and take a look. He would not need to come back inside. I said to him, "You are a man of few words, do you want this job?" He said, "For the right price"... hmmm, I am blonde but I got it! While he was outside I opened the window and talked to him. I told him I had extra vinyl siding, the paint, and the door was being delivered here. I told him the deck would not need rails as I want to do my own creative spin on that. He listened, but again no conversation. He did say he would get the estimate to me in a week. I got the estimate a week later and here it is. It was so vague and was just an estimated guess. The funny thing is that he talks about paint and caulk but nothing about the actual construction of the deck. Did I want hidden deck fasteners or deck screws? He mentioned pine deck? I could go on but my point is that there was not a meeting of the minds as to what he was going to give me for the money and his estimated guess was quite high. He never mentioned anything about permits, his company, or any photo's for jobs of similar nature. All in all a huge let down and a waste of time;( Here is the estimate, so you can see I am being forth right in my review. Margo, Estimate as follows for proposed work at 246 Highland Ave. Cost to be determined on time and material basis with labor at $60 per man hour plus material cost. Provide temp support and open wall and install header to allow for door install. Install owner sliding door in bedroom. Repair wall, trim, siding, paint, caulk and finish as required. Estimated cost $3500. Provide material and construct 9x12 pt pine deck with stair and rail tbd. Estimated cost $6500. I am happy to discuss further or answer any questions. I received a phone call quickly after signing up for a Big Deal to discuss what handyman work that I needed done. He completed four projects within about 3 hours and since I had paid for 4, he said I could have him come back another time or find another project or two to complete. These were done also.

Very efficient and did nice job.

Ron showed up on time and went from one item to the next. He was able to get everything done with about 10 minutes to spare. He was very friendly and competent. Will gladly use this company again.

The contractor was scheduled to be at the house at 7am but there was a car problem which was not communicated till later and the tech did not arrive till after 8am. Once the contractor Rozelle arrived he did great work. He was easy to communicate with. I would have him back to do more work.

The talented workman the contractor sent finished all the tasks on my list in a few hours so I gave him all the other things I could think of that had to be done and was thrilled to get so much work done in one day!! All done professionally, fast and have held up well. The company was good to deal with.

Fantastic experience. Frisch called immediately after I purchased the coupon and scheduled the service. No surprises - we discussed a $60.00 dump fee if I wanted to dispose of the carpet, TV, etc. The handyman arrived at 7:00 a.m. and ran through my list very efficiently. He was very pleasant and professional. I definitely recommend Frisch Construction.

The worker is a good carpenter. He did not charge me for the time he went to get the materials he needed, but when he was putting on the plastic tubing he lost an hour. I paid for extra time, but he was not able to complete the job because it began to rain. Often if one pays by the hour people take their time. At first he did things quickly, but not towards the end. I later tried to cover the wires with the same plastic elastic tubing and it took me no time to finish the job. I do not know why it took him so long if he was an electrician by trade. Overall he did a good job and was very professional, but I think he could have easily finished the work with an hour to spare.

There were no issues, and the work was satisfactory.

Adam was extremely professional and helpful, polite and punctual. We were happy with all of his work.

A lot of time was used to get materials. Not top quality or efficient. We just weren’t on the same page.

The handyman (Adam) was prompt, courteous, informative and neat. I showed him what needed to be done and where the materials were and he went right to work. Adam had me test and inspect each job before he moved on to the next task and he cleaned and vacuumed when he was finished. Because of the temperature and weather, he was unable to winterize the windows but he took time to walk outside with me and show me exactly what is needed and how it should be done. I am very please with the work and the entire experience. I highly recommend JP Frisch Construction Services.

The provider sent a gentleman out and he showed up on time. He did everything I needed done inside the home. When it came time for the garage window film he obviously hadn't applied it before. It took him a really long time (about 2 hours) and it ended up creased in alot of areas and bubbly in other. I probably could have done a similar job. Once he was done he told me it would be an additional $120 for the extra two hours labor, which it shouldn't have been because he was still working on some of the time that I prepaid. I told the owner of the company that I was not going to pay the additional amount because the film was applied poorly and it really shouldn't have taken two hours time. The owner argued with me quite a bit and tried to make similar references if he didn't like something did that mean he didn't have to pay. I asked him to come out and look at the job and tell me whether or not it looked professional. I never heard from him again so whether or not he actually came and looked at it (you could see the folds, creases on the outside of the window), I don't know.

Owner responded quickly to my request. Helped me decide whether to order the big deal, and how to maximize the time spent with the handyman. Handyman sent was professional, quick, and clean. Newly caulked shower looks great. Called again for another job that would have involved much more in the way of demolition, and he walked me through how to do it myself and who else to call if I needed help. Would use again in a heartbeat.

I scheduled the appointment with Jon, the owner of the company. I told him what I was wanting to have done. He told me it would not be a problem. The appointment was scheduled quickly. Greg showed up at 7:00am to start working for the day. He had me show him what needed to be done and told me what he thought he could accomplish for the day. He installed the flooring in both bathrooms as well as changing out the toilets for me since he had to take the old ones out to do the floor correctly.When he was installing the floor in the children's bathroom, he noticed that the door knob was loose, so he fixed it and then checked the other doorknobs and fixed them as well. I had bought a new storm door to be installed by a handyman and I had asked Greg to replace the old one with the new one. He fixed the old one instead and that saved me $115 because I get to take back the new one. :-) Greg's day ended at 3:00 and there were still a few items on my list. He or Patrick will be out this week to finish the work for me. I would definitely hire JP Frisch again because his people are willing to do the work that I needed done, as well as fix things that I didn't realize were problems. They charge per hour for labor, which is why Greg fixed the doorknobs which took less than five minutes. This got him his full hour and it definitely got me my money's worth. They are easy to work with as far as scheduling. Greg was great with my children who are home schooled. He was a complete gentleman with quality manners. I look forward to working with this company again in the future.

did exactly as I asked in a reasonable time frame

It was pretty quick. They did a little more work than I usually thought. We were happy with it. His pricing was always very good. The quality the work was very good.

I was very pleased with what they did. He was a nice man, as was the owner/salesman.

Finished drywalling a storage area in our basement and installed an overhead light fixture and moved a light switch and did some minor repairs.

Rossel arrived on time, and gave me a heads up he was on his way which was appreciated. He was very professional, nice and helpful. He fixed everything on my list and also explained what had caused the issues. I was definitely pleased with the outcome. I also was very happy with the fact that I called the company the day before saying I was hoping to get someone out this week and they scheduled something for first thing the next morning! I would definitely use this company for future home projects.

They were very professional and tidy. We have used them twice since.

Well, I bought a deal but paid extra because it took more time than half a day. After seeing how thick the door was and the thickness of what was cut out, I could see why it took him that length of time. He had to make a whole new frame around the piece of glass. The workman did a superior job of carpentry work. I would highly recommend him.

The handyman arrived at our home on time, bright and early. He was able to disconnect our existing, broken dishwasher. Said dishwasher is in an unusual location in our kitchen in it's proximity to the sink/garbage disposal. The previous owner of our home ran the dishwasher inflow/outflow lines in cut outs in the studs of our walls behind the cabinets and around a corner before the kitchen was installed. He had his work cut out for him. He was able to connect the new dishwasher to the existing lines by jerry-rigging the outflow hoses together. I was impressed, and happy we didn't have to cut a hole in the back wall of our corner cabinet! He was at the house for three hours which I considered normal for this difficult installation. However, after he left, I noticed the dishwasher looked off-kilter. It is sitting about an inch below our counter top plus it's sides are not parallel with the cabinets. I took the front panel off of the bottom of the dishwasher to find that it is sitting on two of the four legs it's meant to stand on. While it's level from left to right, it's leaning forward quite a bit which concerns me with water drainage.

When I initially called John to schedule this work, he told me someone would be able to come out the next morning. I was surprised, but very pleased. The contractor who came was named Ron. He was punctual and professional. He took the time to understand from me exactly what it was I wanted to have done, and also agreed on the spot to take the time to do some extra things that I hadn't originally asked for over the phone. Incidentally, the paint that we had wouldn't bond correctly at first with the baseboard, so Ron had to put on 4 coats in some spots. He took the time necessary to make sure that it was done correctly. At no point did I feel that he rushed through anything, and he made sure it was done to my satisfaction before he left, which it was. He also left the work area completely clean. If this is how all of their employees operate, I would certainly recommend JP Frisch.

Fantastic experience with this company. My original inquiry was returned within an hour. I needed the work done as quickly as possible, and the next morning at 7AM Adam arrived ready to go! The work he did far exceeded expectations, and I would have no hesitations in calling this company again for handyman services. Highly recommend!!!
