Lots of miscommunication right from the start. But 4 months after the order, the door was installed. Two weeks later it came time to install the window, The installer dropped the old window when installing and dented the new door. Also the window had obscure glass when we had clearly ordered clear. Home Depot promised to make it right. And committed to 2 to 3 weeks to resolve. That was 18 weeks ago. WIth broken commitment after broken commitment, we still have no resolution with no end in sight. So we have paid approximately $7,000 for a dented door and shower glass window, spent lots of time following up on the phone and suffered embarrassment with the neighbors for our wacky obscure window. The entry remodel is on hold waiting for the final resolution. I should have done this myself, saved the money, and been done months ago. I don't know if this is a local problem or systemic for all of Home Depot installation services, but this is the worst performance/service I have ever experienced in 25 years of home ownership.. I am still waiting for them to finish the roof. It has been about a week. It has been taking so long to him for finish. I thought it would have been done by now. I mean, that does not have anything to do with the pricing. The quote, I guess, is fine. I really don't know how much the quote is.

The cost was actually 38 bucks. It was $100 to rent and then you get your money back. There was just a couple of months as far as getting the tool. It wasn’t accessible when we had to get it. They had to get it from somewhere else and bring it over to the store.

Totally thrilled with the job. I would recommend them in the heartbeat. Did price comparisons with other companies and they were in line with other quotes.

It went well. I am very pleased. They really add a lot to the home. I think one of them really helped in the energy department because the other one was a single pane sliding door downstairs and there were spaces on the outside of it, like spaces for bugs to get in and you can just stand next door and feel the cold air. This is new and it is double paned and insulated. That really helps a lot, as far as insulation. The door upstairs at the front door was like 35 years old. This one is beautiful and with the energy department and all the energy part and all the insulation around it. I had only 2 complaints and they came back the very next day and fixed it so I was overall pleased. The clean up was good. They cleaned up everything and he knew what he was doing. He was really good.

They really need more people. I spend a lot of time waiting around for help. I want to get my own door this time around. I think if you buy your own stuff a lot of times, you get better quality. In fact, I've been going to the same Home Depot for years and I think it's one of the best ones I've been in. They've always been helpful with me just about any problems I've had. I think they're better than Lowe's on price. Whenever I actually had to talk to anybody like getting an opinion or help, they've been pretty helpful. When you get a hold of somebody, they're usually pretty knowledgeable but a lot of times it's hard to get people. You have to stand there waiting at the department for a while before somebody gets to you. I've had them cut lumber for me and stuff and they've been really helpful.

Not only are they close but I just love to go there for a lot of supplies and things. They provide good service. The last person that was in there was a young lady and she helped me quite a bit with any questions I had and while I was looking for different things. She was very helpful. Price was great. I have had no problems getting help when I need things. Their responsiveness is good. When I'm trying to find things I have no problems getting someone to help.

Home Depot is great to buy things from but not to install things. They were late and didn't call to let me know they were going to be late. They did not clean up after themselves either. I did not like that.

DESPITE MORE THAN 10 CALLS IN A SPAN OF 2 WEEKS, HOME DEPOT REPRESENTATIVES FAILED TO RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. WE HAD PURCHASED A GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND INSTALLATION, PLUS WANTED AN ESTIMATE FOR A NEW AIR CONDITIONER UNIT. WE HAD TO FILE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE BEFORE WE EVEN GOT A RETURN PHONE CALL. THE SERVICE WAS SO POOR THAT WE RETURNED THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND INSTALLATION. WE'D FEEL BETTER PAYING MORE MONEY IF THE SERVICE WOULD BE BETTER. THE ONLY SHINING STAR WAS JACINTA WHO FINALLY GOT THE REPAIR MEN TO RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. JACINTA WAS MOST HELPFUL AND CONCERNED.
