Had to wait quite a while in the store to talk to someone about scheduling an estimate. It took about 1 hour to get all the "estimate" information entered, where the customer service representative could not answer any questions as an independent company completes the installaion. Scheduled the company for the estimate. The guy who performed the estimate would or could not answer ANY questions. He did not examine the floor to establish what would the job require. The estimate took 2-3 days to come back and was four times the amount we ended up paying an independent company. The estimate included several different items that were not required or needed, driving up the cost. The estimate used lots of acronyms and phases that were not easy to interepret. When Home Depot was contacted to explain the estimate the man on the phone could not offer any explanations as he stated "an independent company came out and performed the estimate." So there is a major disconnect with the communication between the store and the installation company. Overall it was a very negative experience and I would not recommend Home Depot.

HORRIBLE!! It was a 2-5day project that took them 3 months to complete. They did not provide important information about the multiple aspects of the project (verbally or in writing) that would have kept me from ever doing this and now I have permanent fixtures in my kitchen that don't match or took 3 months of fighting resistent people to get. Most shocking was that they were arrogant, dissmissive and angry at me when I fought to get them to resolve the problems. I welcome any assistance Angie's list can suggest and/or provide. Currently working on complaint to Better Business Bureau, but I'm a single mom, work full-time, with 4yr, so my time is too limited with daily responsibilities. I haven't had the chance to Let Angie's list know about this experience before now. FYI: Home Depot has many other complaints (do internet search and you'll find them or go to BBB). Suffice to say, NEVER LET A BIG CORPORATION INTO YOUR HOME TO DO ANYTHING. When problems occur, they are far too big to care and more interested in moving on to next customer and making more profit, whereas at least a small, local contractor, has more to lose if they don't provide good service. Once I was able to hunt down someone to answer a few questions in this department I found out that the $199 carpet installation special isn't that "special". I should have guessed, but the removal is extra, the haul away is extra. Padding, of course, is extra. It's not a terrible deal but just something to be aware of going in that everything is "extra". They did that with some doors I bought also. You pay for installation, but for them to go out and measure the doors (which is required) is extra and to haul away the old door is extra.

They hired subcontractors to install the carpeting which was done incorrectly. Home Depot was wonderful about getting a new crew to come out to correct it. They hauled away the old carpet and replaced it with brand new. I was very pleased with their follow up practices and assuring my satisfaction. I have used them on a number of occasions as they have always been accommodating to my needs. I did not hire them to lay the ceramic tile as a family member did the work.

I have called and called and they do not return phone calls. I am thoroughly disgusted with the whole company you can't get any help. I can't get anyone to return any of my calls for a year. I am not giving up, I will bug them until they do it.

The garage door adds so much to the house. The service was excellent. They scheduled the appointment around my schedule. The workers were prompt. The price was excellent. I couldn't find anything close to it.

The help that I received was excellent. I was pleased with the knowledge of the specialist. She made the experience profound. She also helped me in departments that weren't hers.

I was surprised that the cabinets were in stock. They showed up promptly at the arranged time and did a great overall job with the installation. I would definitely use them again.

THE SALESPERSON WAS HELPFUL IN LOCATING THE PRODUCTS, AND THE PRODUCTS WERE ON SALE.
