Rivers Plumbing was excellent to work with. Their bid was great compared to other plumbing companies. They were very courteous, friendly and professional. When he came to look at the work I needed done, he explained a better way to do part of it, that saved me a lot of money. None of the other plumbers made suggestions that would work out better & save me money. He was extremely knowledgeable about his profession. He even snaked a pipe that was not included in his bid (which made my husband delighted that he didn't have to do it). It was the best and smoothest experience I have had when getting work done.

I picked Rivers plumbing after seeing the reviews. They were responsive and professional, Tim arrived promptly, gave a quote for clearing the kitchen sink drain and went to work. I appreciated the fact that he cleaned up after himself. We noticed after he left that even the bathroom sink drained better which is a testament to having the right tools.I would recommened them.

Their price was a little higher than I thought, but I didn’t get any other bids for the exact same work as they did. They did a good job. There were a couple of things that they had left undone, and I had to fix it myself. I called them and they were willing to come out, but it was something that I could do myself. One shower wasn’t tightened like it should have been. They put a faucet in my bathroom, and they didn’t charge me for that. When he gave me the bid he told me that if I bought the faucet that he would just go and put it in.

Chad stopped by at roughly 9 in the morning, He was professional, clean cut, and relatively young. However, I was annoyed that he didn't discuss price of the AC unit or outdoor coil. While I understand they need to base it on the load calculations, a ballparks estimate would have been nice. The real problem was that despite wasting two hours of my time, Chad never even bothered coming up with an estimate. I'm not sure exactly how these guys make money, but I wish the best of luck to them.

Received many estimates for this work and most (including Rivers Plumbing) were all in the same price range. After Tim came to examine the project, he went to his truck and came back with a written estimate. This impressed me. The estimate was in a price range as the work required opening a wall, behind which were 50 year old pipes original to the house. Of course there were things that needed to be done that were not in the original estimate that came up, but Tim managed to get everything done and still remain within the original estimate. As of this writing the work isn’t completed as they need to come back for the finishing once we have finished the tiling etc., but all in all it was an excellent experience working with Rivers Plumbing.

The service professional was very nice and arrived on time. My only complaint is that the work area was left dirty.

I had a drip leak from a previously soldered T section of copper pipe in my basement to an outside faucet. I thought I could do the job myself but I was never able to drain all the water out of the pipe. As a result, solder wouldn't weld to the copper. In fact, I made it worse and the drip was now a real leak. It was around 2PM in the day and the water was shut down in the house until the pipe could be repaired. I used Angie's list to find a plumber. I called three of them in close proximity to where I live. One outfit had a live person who said they couldn't come out today. Another outfit had a voice message saying all calls coming in during the day would be answered in the evening. My 3rd call was to Rivers Plumbing Co where Jennifer answered my stress call and was very sympathetic to my problem. She told me she was sending a plumber out to my house immediately. Thank you Jennifer and Rivers Plumbing for being so attentive to a frantic homeowner.. Dan the plumber arrived. He will be my go to plumber from this company. I'm sure all the other plumbers at Rivers are as curtious, skilled, competent and professional as Dan but he was impressive and did a bang-up job. He never once be-littled my soldering skills. I asked him for a bid on geothermal. He came back with a bid for traditional replacement for one unit in the basement and one unit in the second floor. The bids were all very expensive. Their bid for geothermal was $15000 more than another person doing geothermal for over 10 years in this area. He couldn?t answer a lot of my questions. The sales person didn?t seem to have working knowledge of his area of expertise. They were very responsive.

Quality work, courteous. Was just disappointed in the price and no itemized list.

Tim T from Rivers was professional, ontime and friendly. He also gave us some helpful plumbing tips. Everything is running fine.

Everything went very well. The workman found a problem with the shower head that I would probably not have noticed. He worked on it for quite a few hours - much longer than the estimate probably included. With help from his office he found this particular model of shower head had a defect that the manufacturer had a fix for. By this time it was well past his usual stopping time - and I could use the shower head as it was - so he left for the day. Another fellow came the next day and installed the fix. I was charged only the amount of the estimate - even though I'm sure the workmen went over the time that was allotted in the estimate. No one asked me for one dime more than the estimate. I gave a B in professionalism only because the first fellow left the workplace in a bit of a mess. He'd used a dropcloth to protect the tub, but it was pretty dirty and left some rust marks - which wiped off with a little bathroom cleaner. He also left a few odds and ends of pipes and fittings where they fell around his work areas. Perhaps he was distracted because of the problem he encountered, because the owner (who wrote the estimate for me) and the fellow who returned the second day would have earned an A in professionalism.

I am a property manager and the leak was at a rental property. Rivers went to fix the property very quickly.

I highly recommend them. They were very professional and they knew their stuff. It didn?t even occur to me to check the ducts upstairs so I would have just suffered and wondered why I couldn?t get enough heat or cold upstairs. I didn?t get a huge number of bids, but the price seemed good considering what they did. I have a contract with them to maintain the unit on the roof.

Very quick and easy. The plumber showed up in under an hour, started disassembling my drain, and in another hour the whole thing worked fine.

Very positive experience - would definitey use tham again

When I got up on Saturday morning, March 5, 2011, I discovered that I did not have hot water. I knew better than to try to get a plumber over the weekend and decided that I could hold off calling one until Monday morning. In the meantime, I went on Angie's List for recommendations. I found two in my area that had very good reviews but decided on Rivers Plumbing because they had a senior discount and a coupon on Angie's List. At about 7:40 a.m. on Monday, I called Rivers Plumbing and was told that someone would be out in about 20 minutes. It was not even 20 minutes when two plumbers arrived at my place. There were two because at that point they did not know if I would need a replacement hot water heater. The two men were friendly and accommodating. They tested the water heater out by shutting off the power to it and resetting the reset button on the unit. When it came back on fairly quickly, it was determined that I did not need a new hot water heater. At that point one of the men left to take care of other customers but the other one stayed until he was sure that the water heater was producing hot water. He even showed me how to test this before he left and told me that if resetting the button did not cause the water heater to restart, I should call a plumber. On the Friday night before (March 4, 2011), there were fairly severe thunder storms in O'Fallon, Missouri. I was not aware of any power surges because there were no momentary lapses in power that I could see. But apparently my hot water heater did experience a power surge. I am really impressed with this company. They were prompt, friendly, efficient and did honor the coupon I printed off of Angie's List. Without the coupon, the service fee would have been $75, with it it was $40. I would not hesitate to call them again.

I was very satisfied with them. They were quick, professional and prices were very reasonable. Their quality was excellent. They were responsive and punctual. I would use them again in the future.

We pay them monthly so it is not a flat fee. They come twice a year to check the heating and air conditioning to make sure everything is working correctly. They are very professional. We have no dislikes about them. They are very, very good. We will definitely continue to use them.

Called to schedule estimate and they were willing to go out of their way to schedule the estimate when it was convenient for me, including evenings. Ending up making an appointment for a Monday morning. They gave me a one hour time frame and arrived within the time frame. The plumber looked at the project and gave me a price quote. He told me that if he opened the wall and determined it would be more complex it could cost a little more and he would ask my approval before moving forward. I accepted and he started work immediately. He was respectful of my home and wore booties into the house. Project was completed within the time frame he mentioned and without additional expense. I am very satisfied with this company and would highly recommend them.

The contractor clearly knew these systems very well, and the boiler and radiators have worked well throughout this very cold winter.

The guy that called me back was real short with me, when i tried to explain I had no heat he did not care, $190 or on to the next phone call basically is what he told me :( By the way the low is 10 Degrees tonite, thanks for not caring :(

I am very satisfied with the company and the work they did for me. They charged half of what the other two companies quoted us and completed the work on time and in a professional manner. They accepted the payment after the work was completed and over the phone (was able to charge to a credit card). Overall if I need any plumbing work to be done in the future, I plan to call them.

My ac stopped working on Friday evening.. it was hot but we got thru the night. I have 2 small children we made it work the next morning while I checked angies list for places to call. Hoffman brothers answered and said someone could be out by 1 ish. they came about 3:30..no big deal I am sure I was not the only one. The tech gets there and within a few moments said that he has diagnosed the issue. I need a new unit. I said I am sure you do not have one on the truck so tell me how much to get me running until we can get one in. He said at least two grand and there was no guarantee it would work. He then quoted me about 12k worth of equipment. I asked if he was sure there was nothing we could do today for the comfort of my children, again he said no but did inform me there there was just one opening on monday for an install and if I tell him right then he could set the appointment. I said I would call him on Moday if that was what I chose, I wanted a second opinion. - I started making phone calls and found a reputable company to come out and give me their opinion. That tech said my run capacitor was bad.. replaced it and back up and running. Hoffman Bros in my opinion was not only negligent but nearly criminal. I spoke with a manager and it sounded like that is not the first time but would be happy to return my service fee and give me a discount on future services.. LOL no thanks.

The sales person came in and after hearing what the problem was he offered me options to make my choice. While advising me of the costs involved, he also advised me of factors that could alter that price. The arraingments were made and dates set. The company made every effort to comply with my schedule. The work performed was excellent. The men kept me posted on all their work and a progress report at the end of each day. The work was expected to take 3 days, they completed it in 2 days. The men were professional and very friendly at all times. They kept me posted at every stage and were concerened about my comfort in the home. My home has been a pleasure to be in since the work was performed. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to all my friends and family!

We had used them in the past and they were great. They are reliable, and are just great people in general. They also do what they said they would which is rare. The only reason why we did not use them in August is because they were a little to expensive.
