Rivers prices by the job and not by the hour, so I was well aware of the cost before they started. I really liked this transparency. I not an expert when it comes to plumbing, but everything seems to be working fine.

We had a good experience. They were very honest and thorough. They didn’t try to upsell me or attempt a hard sell, which I appreciated. Basically, they delivered on all of their promises. We were really happy with their work, and I would hire them again.

A very detailed and comprehensive estimate was made for my needs. Followed by replacement of the old furnace in an expeditious and professional manner. Very good service from start to finish.

They’re always good to work with! They explain exactly what they’re doing and clean up after themselves. They show up on time and are very professional as well. When they didn’t have the correct motor, they drove a far distance to get one and come back and install it! I would recommend them very highly!

The office, called and asked if they could come earlier. This worked out for me. Chad, was courteous and professional. Will call for service.

Jeff the plumber came early in the morning as asked. Provided estimate & showed me where the problems were. I liked him.

I took a day off from work so that the system could be installed. This was the amount of time that I was told that it would take to replace the system. During the installation, I was told that this would be a two day installation. Fortunately, another installation crew was able to be sent to my home to have the new furnace and air conditioner installed in one day. During the installation, the installers where courteous and did not leave a mess. The problem came after the installation when we attempted to use the clothes dryer, it did not work. Unfortunately, the electrical lines going to the clothes dryer were cut and rerouted to the compressor outside. Replaced the line myself and Hoffmann Brothers reimbursed me for time and materials. Nice of them to do but I would have rather not have had to deal with this in the first place.

He was very friendly, courteous and complete. We are planning to have him back out to our home for some more work.

I bought a coupon for a service call on Angie's List for $30. I thought it was a good deal, and I had already purchased a hot water dispenser for our kitchen sink to replace the one that had started leaking. I called for an appointment and was told the plumber would come between 8 am and 11 am. He arrived around 8:30 and started to work. I thought it should take about an hour at most. Instead, it took three hours. He was not satisfied with the amount of pressure coming through the dispenser and kept trying to make it better. It did not help. He then presented me with a bill for $234. I told him I thought the deal was $30 for the service, but he explained that that was the fee for just coming out. This was not explained on the coupon. Obviously, had I known I was being charged by the hour I would have had him stop fiddling with it sooner. So my $150 water dispenser cost $264 to install. Not such a good deal after all.

Jeff was on time, very friendly, took time to explain everything so I could understand what he was doing and why. He was extremely knowledgeable and repaired the issue very quickly! Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!!

The company was called and a date and time was set. My daughter only had until 9:30 to meet the company and show them around the house. They were a little late, so she did not have a lot of time to spend. She had to go to work. The gentleman was suppose to place the key in a hidden place after locking up. My daughter went to the house after work and the key was not there. I called the company the next day. They would ask the worker and get back with me. I did not hear for two more days and called them back asking for the key location. They would ask the worker. I had given them my credit card number over the phone and requested a receipt. They said they would send one. I called back after a week of waiting and no receipt. They said they had new office staff and would send one. It took another call before I received a copy of the bill in the mail. A friend was walking across the front yard and found the key in the grass. That was why they never would tell me any information concerning the key - he had lost it. The price was what they quoted, but I was charged extra for providing a cut-off value in the basement bathroom, due to them having to knock a hole in a wall (seems it was close quarters). I would not have them back.

Professionalism is an A+. I liked the fact that when I called in the 7 o'clock hour in the morning I got an actually Hoffman Brothers associate instead of an answering service. Both times the associates were prompt, and I had no reservations with granting either of them access to my home. We had purchased their service plan, and it has saved us in the long run with the work we needed done. I got a chance to talk with one of the guys and asked him how he liked working for Hoffman Brothers, he seemed extremely complimentary of the company and seemed very happy in his job there. This is important to me because I think that happy employee's work harder and provide better service. They care about how their customers perceive them and the company.

I contacted to the company asking if the did indeed install water softeners. They scheduled for someone to be out that day to install our new unit. The gentleman was able to do all work involved for the new unit to be installed (welding larger fittings), he also started and pre-flushed the unit and made sure I felt comfortable with the programming and workings of the new unit.

Wonderful. We met with the owner to discuss the plans and how big of a system we needed. It got cold before they completed the installation and the company brought over heaters to keep our home warm while they finished it up.

Chris arrived promptly at the scheduled time and headed right to work. I explained the problem we were having, the shower stall was leaking and the water was dripping through the ceiling downstairs. After a quick look he realized the cartridge was faulty. He explained what the problem was and confirmed the repair price with me before starting his work. During the course of the call we discussed the overall water pressure in the house and he inspected the PRV valve, which I believe he called the Pressure Reducing Valve. Again, he explained the work that needed to be done and quoted me the price before getting started. The plumbing technician was extremely professional and let me know in layman's terms exactly what repairs needed to be done. He did need to get the parts specific to our fixtures, but that was expected and he made a quick trip for supplies and completed the installation in short order. The shower is working great and the water pressure in the house has noticeably improved and the family is very happy we called River's Plumbing.

After one successful experience with Angies List- I searched Angies List for Plumbing companies 1) With positive reports and 2) That lived within 10 miles of my home. I called 4-5 companies (Friday afternoon about 3:00pm) and left voicemessages. I reached Rivers Plumbing about 3:45pm (spoke with Crystal) and she very politely and professionally 1) Acknowledged that she could have a certified technician at my house in approximately 1 hour (after the serviceman completed his other job). 2) She also confirmed that I would receive the on-line coupon rate of $29.95 for a service call. Within 1 hour of the original call, Dan showed up and RESOLVED the back up problem within the next 45minutes. After fixing the problem, he also troubleshooted to ensure the backup was "just a simple backup". Dan was VERY professional, nice, and was in /out very efficiently on a Friday night. This was classic EXCELLENT SERVICE from an EXCELLENT company!! I would recommend them!

They were prompt and came when they said they would come. When the machine broke down they came out and did a very thorough job. They found the source of the two other problems. So I was very happy with their work. They even worked with my home warranty company and they were very pleasant. I will use them in the future.

08-18-2011, the plumber installed the new toilet . He did a great job, but afterwards I noticed that the seat screw was not tightly secured on one side. I called back and scheduled another appointment for Monday, 08-22-2011. between 8am - 10 am to have this done. The technician arrived on time and tightend the right side screws. I do wish I had thoroughly checked out the technicians work after he installed the new toilet totally avoiding a call back on the same issue.

We were experiencing problems with hot water - having to set the dial all the way to hot to get warm water. Called Rivers Plumbing and told them the problem. Our water heater is 13 years old. They said we were probably in need of a new water heater. She asked if when they came out for the service call if I wanted them to bring a new water heater to install at the time if that's what we required. I said yes. Chad was our serviceman - on time and very polite. He said we probably had a lot of calcium build up over the years and that water heaters generally last from 8-12 years. So we had more use than usual from ours. He suggested a new heater. We agreed and discussed price. He installed the water heater in about 3 hours, removed the old heater and cleaned up the area better than what he found it. He swept all over the installation area and took the debris with him. Once he had the heater outside - he opened the valve and showed me the calcium in the nozzle and that came out with the water when he drained it. I had a coupon for $50 off a water heater that I found on Angie's list (which is of course where I found Rivers Plumbing) and they accepted the coupon, which brought the bill to less than we had discussed before installation. I highly recommend this company to anyone and will definitely use them again.

Call to the business was handled well, the appointment was established for the next morning and the serviceman showed up after he called to say he was on his way.

Heating unit out during winter I called Hoffman Brothers and a technician was there the next day. The technician was pleasant and located the problem instantly. I thought the unit had to be replaced but it turned out it was dust in the unit. I am pleased with the solution and relived it did cost me more if I had to replace the unit.

They know more about what they are doing than anybody else do. They did a great job; but they are expensive. It works beautifully.

Their language was not understandable. The technicians who came out were the sales people. They came out and just suggested me replace the whole Air conditioning system when only a part was supposed to be replaced. They are all old people. They told me that that part was not available. They were horrible. They had three different texts, they wanted to replace the thermostat and they wanted to redo all the duct works in the house. It was crazy. The people just didn’t know what they were supposed to do. They tried to sell products and also tried to push new air conditioning system. They should be on the watch list. They were professional. I am sure that most of the people might have replaced the air conditioning unit without even realizing that they didn’t have to do that. They oversell because people didn’t know the state of the worry. We won’t know that the people were certified or not. The owner just maintains the business bureau. I told them that I was an Angie’s list member but they didn’t care. I think people just don’t have to go to them for anything. They were fraudulent and they didn’t have any documents.
