I called Rivers when I discovered I had a leak under my kitchen sink. It was Friday - she set up an appointment for the following Monday. I received a call that morning stating he would arrive in a half-hour. He did, checked my sink and found the leak. It was at the area where the pipe connected to the sink. He removed the part and showed me where it was worn. He had the part, replaced it, checked for leaks (there were none) and cleaned up the area. While I was writing the check, he noticed the handle on my kitchen faucet was lose so he took it off, checked it, cleaned it edand replaced it. Handle is no longer loose. Thanked him for doing that "extra" work. .I have used Rivers Plumbing twice before and they have done an excellent job all three times. I always think it's expensive but had a $50 coupon which certainly helped! They do an excellent job which is worth the expense when compared to a company that does not. I would definitely call them again.

Chris answered the questions about the sewer gas odor and gave us info on how to control it. He also tracked the shower leak to some poor caulking on the tub/shower. He pointed out that the problem with the toilets was deterioration of some of the seals...they were 35 years old. We discussed rebuilding them vs. replacing them, and decided on the replacements. He showed up the following day and did the replacements. Everything was done neatly and there was NO mess to clean up. The new stools are working fine, and we're happy campers. We still haven't replaced the caulking, but will soon, and see if that does stop the drip. If not, we'll be calling for Chris to come back.

They showed up on time and offered two prices. One for the complete replacement and the other to asd the shut-off valve.

Deon arrived earlier as I requested, which was much appreciated. He replaced the faucet outside and also fixed our water pressure which had been low since we had moved into the home. It was at 38 PSI and he stated that 58 PSI would be better and not be to much for the lines. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend them again, a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

My sHower was leaking it needed a new shower handle which he replaced. They called me 30 min before he got here and I do not know if it was to much money or not what I do know is I did not know how to fix it. I am sure if I knew how to fix it I would have and it would have cost less I am just glad it is fixed.

Rivers Plumbing was the only company that came out to the house for an estimate. I knew I needed several code upgrades -- the expansion tank, the flu upgrade -- and no other company would provide a complete "out the door" estimate. They sent Chris out who was polite, pleasant, and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate for everything necessary to bring things up to code. This estimate was the highest estimate I actually got but it was the ONLY estimate that had the various code upgrades I needed. Because of that I can't say if the cost was really high or low compared to the competitors but it seemed fair to me. For the installation date, Chris came out right on time. The office did goof and tell him I wanted a 40 gallon tank (contrary to what I wanted and what Chris and I discussed) and he was totally OK with going back to the office to get the 50 gallon I wanted. Stuff happens so this isn't a black mark or a mark at all on the company (had they not resolved it, different story.) I observed Chris as he worked and I could tell he's done this before. I don't know what else to say - nothing leaks and I have hot water. The install took a little longer than they expected but honestly you never assume a job goes to plan. All in all I feel I got a pretty good value for my money. Plumbers aren't cheap (they're not overpriced either) and when you gotta do code upgrades that's going to cost you. But if you can't do it yourself then you're stuck paying someone else to do it. Rivers wasn't pushy about me accepting the job (it was 2 weeks between estimate and work) or the tank size issue. They were pleasant and did good work. I'd use them again.

The technician was very polite did the repaired quickly & thoroughly very satisfied.

The company was professional and the plumber was nice and helpful, however I felt the cost structure for the few areas in which I may need work was high. I will use this company for emergency work, however I will DIY as much as possible in the few areas identified as potentially problematic to save on cost.

I found them from Angie’s list. They do heating and cooling and plumbing. They were punctual and did a good job. They ended up only charging me for the service fee, not any extra for the work they did.

We are thrilled with the service we received from Hoffman and would recommend them as the go-to company to call when in need of any HVAC service.

The guy came out and took 10 minutes on inspecting my home. He stated he didn't find any problems but I pointed out one thing in particular and they said they'd have to address that another day. I didn't expect this to be only 10 minutes.

A small leak in the back of our toilet turned into a burst valve and a bathroom full of water. After finding the main water shut off in the house, we called Rivers Plumbing. They answered right away and promised Chris would be there in an hour, which was almost exactly when he showed up. Chris was friendly and professional. He figured out the problem right away. Since he was already there, we asked him about a few other things, some small leakage and build up in the basement pipes and a plugged line that reaches our fridge. He walked through and looked at our problems and gave us quotes (I don't know if they were high or low, but it was over $2000), but he explained everything very well what needed to be done. He still took care of the problem we called him for and gave us a couple of tips and suggestions. He didn't have the part he needed, left and came back promptly. Everything took less than an hour. It ended up being after hours, but he didn't charge the extra, however we didn't get to use the Angies List $50 coupon. We may use them again, but I will try to get a few more quotes before we do the big project.

Went well. The problem was identified, and a contact for who can fix it was provided.

I bought the: ONLY $45 for Plumbing Service Call PLUS Whole House Plumbing Inspection! from Rivers Plumbing Company LLC because I needed to have a toilet valve and flapper replaced. I even called ahead of time and told them exactly what I needed. Careful: Service Charge is just the trip charge. They should clarify this on their advertised deal. I assumed the prepaid $45.00 Angie's Deal trip cost, a one hour labor charge at $75.00 an hour + parts maybe $20.00 bucks for a total of maybe 140.00. Since I bought the Angie's list deal I expected to pay for just the labor and parts for around $95.00. This was not the case. Today I spent a whopping $223.00 dollars for a simple toilet valve replacement. I am still pretty upset at the cost, but glad to have my toilet fixed. I did appreciate their professionalism, super prompt service, even on a Saturday, even while I expressed my confusion and frustration over the cost. Kudos to them for coming out so quickly, but an expensive lesson for me. Before I complained, the original price quoted was 264.00.

Chris came at 8:30 (I was given a time window of between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM), put on his shoe covers, and went right to the kitchen. He quickly discovered that it was the plumbing or disposal, but our granite composite sink had a small crack in it. It's not a repair that they do, so I paid $55 for the service call. They wouldn't not take the Angie's List coupon for $50 off any job because this was a service call only.

I called Angie's List and Rivers Plumbing a few times since they had a Big Deal up on the site. It took awhile to find out what the deal included since it listed no service fees in the deal, but the deal didn't mention what this was referencing. I did finally get an answer to my question, but decided not to buy the Big Deal. I called at a later time to make an appointment. I tried to get estimates on a few items over the phone, but the person on the phone was unable to give any estimates. Rivers normally charges either $79 or $89 just to show up to your home, so being unable to get even an estimate for a fairly simple situation seemed a little off to me. I went against my better judgement and made an appointment anyways. I did have the girl agree to wave the service fee for showing up, so that was a plus on their side. We set the appointment for sometime between 3pm and 6pm on either Thursday or Friday (I forgot which day, I believe it was Friday) I took off work early so I could make sure to be home by 3pm. I did not receive any call to confirm my appointment time, so I wanted to make sure I did not miss it. I waited until about 5pm to call and check on the arrival status of the workman for my job. The receptionist confirmed with the driver that he was working long at another job, but should still be there before 6. The gentleman ended up arriving just after 6pm, which was slightly annoying. If you give a 3 hour window I would expect the workman to arrive during that window, not after the end of it. I had plans that evening so I had to delay them because of the late arrival of the plumber. I showed the plumber to the area in question and asked for quotes on several things. He pulled out a pricing sheet which immediately annoyed me further. If the worker's have a pricing sheet then it seems like the office should be able to give quotes on doing some of the stuff I had questions on. The inability to give a quote over the phone seems like a trap to get you to pay their service fee. The quotes I had ended up totalling to about $1000 for some rather basic work. I had them quote reattaching a sink, installing a new p-trap, installing a faucet, and installing a hot water shut off for my kitchen sink. The worker said he could work on me to get the price down to about $850, but even that was too high for me. I ended up opting to have him drill out the hole in my current sink by 1/4 an inch. This cost me $125 which seemed rather outrageous for simply drilling a hole, but he said that was the lowest amount he was allowed to charge for a job. He did allow me to place my sink in the new hole to make sure it fits, but did not stay long enough for me to ensure that the faucet would actually install on the sink once remounted (a test that would have taken me about 5-10mins to verify). The worker was extremely polite and professional, but the prices for their work and the run around from the office made me regret paying them any amount of money. For the price they charged to drill a hole (that still doesn't work for my faucet) I could have applied towards about half the cost of a new sink at Home Depot. Overall the company seems like a group of nice people, but their prices are outrageous and I can't really comment well on their work as a result.

The quality of their service, professionalism, responsiveness, and punctuality were great.

The hot water in our guest bath was not working...meaning the cold water came on, but nothing came out when we turned it to hot. We found Rivers on Angie's list. They were great from start to finish! Very professional, nice, courteous and efficient.

Maybe company can respond if there was a temporary glitch in their website or else take the option to email down.

I called Rivers the day before based on a possible plumbing issue we wanted investigated. I saw that they had several good reviews, and as well had serviced within 5 miles of our house. The office was pleasant and efficient in setting up the appointment, and they were able to see us the next day. I was also impressed by the wide range of discounted deal options. I was called 30 mins before the tech was to arrive; he arrived 20 minutes after the 30 minute mark. This was not a big deal to me as they mentioned that there was a little bit of confusion over the location. He was very professional and thorough in performing diagnostics on the concern, as well as giving the "full house review". This took about 30-45 minutes. He checked out all the sources of water within the house and out. At the close he sat down with me and went over his findings. The entire appointment was professional. As it turned out we did not have the plumbing issue originally thought, but he also left us with additional information on the company's services and encouraged us to call if we had questions or concerns. We would definitely use them again.

The technician called ahead of time and arrived within a few minutes of the stated time. I took him to tha baement and pointed out the drain pipe. he went back to his truck and brought back his power drain snake and and within a few minutes had the plug pushed down the drain. Everything went pretty good. The technician was professional and friendly.

I initially called Rivers Plumbing because my drain backed up on a Sunday and they listed 24 hr emergency service, including Sundays. Right away it was a positive experience because they asked me to describe the problem and told me the extra fees associated with the emergency visit, suggesting if I could possibly wait until the next morning it would be more cost effective for me. I didn't want to wait too long, so they assured me I could have an 8:00AM appointment Monday morning. They called about 30 minutes before my appointment to let me know the technician was on the way. Ben arrived just a few minutes after 8:00 and started work immediately. He gave me an estimate first, which ended up being a little higher than the actual cost. The blockage was a complicated one, so he ended up needing to work both from inside the house and outside. He stayed long enough after completing the work to ensure everything was flowing. For >3 hours of work, I consider this a bargain! Rivers Plumbing is courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them and will use them for future plumbing needs.

I chose them because they were listed on Angieslist. They did a good job.

The salesman was creative with figuring out what would be best for us. I know it was a hassle to put in the gas furnace, but they did it and we are already seeing big savings in the utility bills. They did not originally estimate replacing the coil though, so it cost about $1000 more than I expected to pay. I was happy with the installer and the salesman. They did a good job. I've used them to install a furnace before and to do a large plumbing job and they were very good then too.

They did really well. They were in and out in an hour. Their people are so well trained and they are just nice folks.
