The plumber inspected everything, recommended work that could be done or needed to be done, and then provided me with a bid. The estimate seemed a bit high.

The occasional drip on my water heater turned into a gushing mess on the afternoon of Saturday 9/15. I called the big time 24/7 plumbing service and was shocked that they were booked solidly until Monday morning at 8am. I called Rivers Plumbing expecting the same thing - but they sent Mick out within the hour (5pm on a SATURDAY). He was extremely polite, thoroughly reviewed my options with me and installed a new water heater on Saturday night. I will definitely use Rivers Plumbing in the future and would recommend them to anybody.

The inspection went well. The technician was very polite and clear about what was fine and what was not. He also lined out clearly all of the prices and the quote for labor, leaving me a copy. He even worked with me on the pricing. When the plumber came to do the work, he couldn't have been more polite or professional. He completed the work within about an hour, and the price was exactly what I had been quoted. The only part I didn't like was some of their pricing. I was able to do a couple of the fixes by myself. They wanted a huge fee just to cut a hole in the wall to fix my shower pipes ($246 "access" fee). I did it for free and my friend fixed the bracket and patched the wall. Other than that, they were totally professional and completely honest with all the work they performed. I will call them again if I have any more serious problems.

We were experiencing weird fluxuations in temperature in the Master Bathroom Shower (sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold). We called in Rivers Plumbing. The plumber talked with me about all the concerns I had and came up with some suggestions. He emphasized quality and guarantees.He gave me an estimate on replacing the valve to the shower water controls that day. It was higher than we anticipated, but we wanted the job done right and we trusted him. We also scheduled the repair date at that time. On the repair day he showed up promptly and was very courteous. He worked efficiently and neatly. Everything was cleaned up when he left. The shower works great!

I called with complaint of not being able to turn on or off the water shut off valve behind my upstairs toilet, additionally, I had a clog in the toilet downstairs. I told them both toilets didn't work properly. The upstairs toilet clogs easily (although at the time of the visit was functioning) and the downstairs toilet was clogged. When the plumber arrived, he argurred the downstairs toilet, stuck a camera down to find the reason for theclog (found nothing in particular), and recommended to replace both of my toilets as they are 15 years old and gave me a quote of $900-1200 to replace both toilets. He told me that he would take a look at the water shut off valve behind the upstairs toilet. He charged me $134 for the work and left. The next morning I went into the upstairs bathroom and he had not fixed the watershut off valve (still stuck) and I called back, they said they would send him back out to fix it. That plumber couldn't make it so they had to send someone else. He told me that he could take a wrench to it and try to loosen it, but it would cost me (never gave me a quote). I told him I could take a wrench to it myself, but I was expecting them to complete the work that I felt I had already paid for with my original phone call. He refused. I called the office to try to communicate my dissatisfaction, and again they offered me $50 off the services (again on work that I had already paid for). I ended up having to call another company out as my upstairs toilet clogged (the one with the shut off valve that wouldn't turn either way). I told them what Rivers Plumbing had said about me needing new toilets. They disagreed with their assessment. They felt the toilets still were functioning properly and told me when I did decide to replace them, that they could do it for $625 for two toilets (parts and labor). I felt Rivers really tried to take advantage of me, both in trying to charge me on another trip out for services that I had already paid for as well as quoting me a huge price for work that could obviously be done much cheaper.

I bought a special that they had. The special did not cover any work and was only for the service calls. I felt that it was falsely advertised. It felt like they used the special as a sales call. They gave me prices on some things and the prices were exorbitant. I ended up using another company and they did it for a third of the cost. After they gave me the written estimate, they called me back twice to negotiate the price. I felt that they only did this to try and keep my business. I felt I did not get the best price the first time around.

The disposal had problems, and I had some electrical problems due to a storm the week before. When inspected, the disposal blew a fuse and had to be completely replaced. This was a surprise for us both... Everything was done neatly and cleaned up well.

Deon from Rivers was very responsive, courteous and helpful. He went the extra mile and we will definitely be using this company in the future. There was a gas leak that he was quickly able to fix, and he also replaced a portion of our old cast iron drain pipe. I had a new base installed for the toilet (I am not sure what the official terminology is) and he explained a couple extra steps I would need to install the toilet as we are still remodeling. Extra info he didn't have to provide, but was thankful that he did.

We bought the coupon for no service call fee for a year and a whole house inspection because we knew we needed one outside faucet fixed and we are in an older home. The plumber fixed the outdoor faucet acceptably and profesionally, When the plumber performed the "whole house inspection" he found approximately $2000 in work to be done. Two of the items we decided needed to be done quickly -- a reported crack in a toilet and water pressure of over 100lbs. The water pressure, we were told, would put us out of code and nullify our insurance should any pipe break occurr. Given the high expense for these two items, we called a close friend's plumer for a second opinion -- OJ Laughlin -- and found that there was no crack in the toilet and therefore the toilet did not need to be replaced. We also found that our water pressure was only at 60 lbs -- and that we have higher than average volume which is acceptable. Also, later in the day after the whole house inspection -- the drainage for the washing machine -- which we had no problem with the day before -- was reported as "clogged" and when I ran a load of laundry it completely overflowed.

On time very personable. Explained things well, answered questions well price seemed reasonable, but i don't know for sure.

Because my partner, she is not a street-smart person, she paid how much the plumber asked ($700) right away without my awareness. I called the plumber company, and asked why they charged so much? They agreed to refund me $100 back. I checked with several people,asked how much the work they think would cost. They all said it should be less than $200. BUT THEY CHARGE me $750.

The plumber was very nice and I really liked him. However, at the end of the day we have spent $270 for less than 2 hours of work and have nothing to show for it. My dishwasher still fills up with water and our bathtub faucet doesn't work. I really liked the plumber but I'm not sure we'll use them again.

Arrived later than originally scheduled. Mike was cordial, professional and tidy. He was very thorough and made sure every aspect of the job was 100% complete.

The technician was friendly and pleasant to deal with, but took a long time to price everything according to his price book. The cost for doing what we needed done was very pricey. Example would be that it was going to cost $147 to replace the rubber flap on the inside of the toilet. That was perhaps the least inexpensive thing that he priced out.

Rob was extremely professional, helpful, and informative. I called at 8:30, was scheduled for a 3 to 6 same day window, and Rob was able to arrive early. Great help!

I called the company and said I had a problem with an outdoor faucet, which may need replacement. They made an appointment for 10-12 AM and VOLUNTEERED that the serviceman would call half an hour before arrival. He arrived at 9:40 with no phone call. I had to make him wait while I finished up what I was doing. There was no apology. I showed him the faucet and he asked to see the inside and NEVER TURNED THE FAUCET ON. After he glanced at the inside portion, he quoted a price of $250. I told him no and he offered to cut the price $50. I said I did not want to do business with him and wanted him to leave. It took another 5 minutes to get him out. I will NEVER call them again.

Rivers Plumbing was excellent. Ocassionally you find a company that is truely caring of your home and Rivers Plumbing is one of those companies. I had a Sewer backup in my finished basement that caused over $10k of damage. I had another plumbing company come over to clean out the drain and help me assess what the issue was. This company was good, but I never received any indication of where the problem existed. I then called Rivers Plumbing to use a camera to see if there were clogs in the lateral line. The plumber was prompt, kind, and very helpful. He found a large mess of roots that had grown into one of the seems of the lateral line and told me that if I don't get them cleaned up I may experience another backup soon. After a couple of calls, he found a plumbing company that could cut the roots without having to tear up the yard. We had that completed, and although Rives Plumbing did not have the tool, they kindly acted as the contractor for the project, got everything scheduled, and took payment. This was very positive experience. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a plumber!!!!

They have a membership that one can join for spring and fall cleaning, they come and check the air conditioner in the spring and check the furnace in the fall. I don’t get charged for regular maintenance but if there is something like a filter replacement I have to pay for material. If one needs to have additional work done they will do that at a reduced price for. They do a 10-15% off. If one has an emergency and is a club member, it is immensely helpful. I think that their prices are a little bit higher. I know that there are some other people in the area that are starting to compete with them and I am sure they are good. We have a tankless water heater and they seem very knowledgeable on that kind of newer technology. We had some really good success with them on that.
