You might think that after using them 4 times you'd be treated nicely! Nope! Didn't happen! Not only it didn't happen but they broke many things! In the stairways, a newly installed light fixture, broke the treshold, scratched my fridge, broke a chair, a sculpture, torn one couch pillow . When I saw how the guys put things in the trucks, I didn't have a good feeling this time. Don Witt was aggravated most of the time and when I addressed those different things, not only he didn't listen but was leaving the room as I was talking to him. You could tell he wanted to be done! I'm going to contact the owner one of these days. This is absolutely unacceptable and I'll make sure to call the company who recommended them to me because they work together. You are warned! The company came to my house to move furniture but they the treshold going down to the stairs in the basement. They came and the mover repaired it. The real estate agent will put the house in the market and informed me that the treshold was loose. So my husband wrote the movers and told them the real estate agent said and the company replied that the floor and treshold wasn't done by a carpenter that's why it wasn't done correctly. So we called the owner, Dave Marty, in the beginning he was nice and asked me what he can do. So I told him that a lot of things were broken and I wasn't treated well so I want it to have repaired correctly but he told me that he won't pay for it, he will not argue with me and he doesn't care if I will talk with the Better Business Bureau.

Their quote was competitive, the estimator was personable and they were available sooner than other movers to help us meet our deadline to move out, plus their storage was "climate controlled" which was important since we have (had) numerous expensive antiques. They showed up on time with what appeared to be an experienced crew and began packing and doing their work. The lead woman was writing the paperwork, and each piece ended up with a long list of letters after the item, which she explained was her code for the condition so she didn't have to write so much. At the end of the day they left, but a lot of things were left undone, like the Flat Screen TV (a $50 charge for the packing box on the estimate), but it was still on the TV stand. Neither was packed, and they did not leave a box to pack it in! We paid in advance for the box and to pack it. They never came back to pack or pick up for storage the items they left behind. So I rented my neighbor's garage and moved the items they left by myself. When I spoke with the estimator (Pat Hazzard) he said they would come out and pick it up and pack it when we were ready to move to Florida. Also, even though we paid for a lot of boxes, they used ones from Home Depot that we had already purchased, then took theirs back with them! I noticed on the contract that I had the right to see the weight of the truck before, and after my stuff was loaded. When I asked to view the weighing for the truck before they loaded, they sent me to the wrong truck stop, and wasted four hours of my time to see the weight of a different empty truck. I was advised that there was an extra charge if I wanted to see the weight of the loaded truck. They never allowed me to see the weight for the truck with my things loaded, unless I paid hundreds of dollars extra for the "extra" trip. They had my cell phone number, but calling me before arrival so I could meet them was too difficult of a task. At delivery we discovered there was an upcharge of over $8,000.00 based on the weight. We had to pay it immediately, or they threatened to leave and dump our stuff where we could not recover it. Gave us 30 minutes to get a cashier's check. In order to verify the weight, it was another $800 upcharge for an "extra" trip. After we paid, we discovered they had broken several antique chairs worth thousands of dollars; soiled our silk living room couch and chairs then dumped the items in the garage of my new location without reassembling them, as was required by their contract. I had to assemble three buffets and a grandfather clock they disassembled to pack and ship. I had to pay in advance to have them reassembled, but they did not do that. Neither did they place them in the room where they were intended to be assembled. Instead, they dumped them into stacks in the garage or the entryway. In past moves, each box was marked off on the paperwork by number as it was delivered. These guys just stacked them randomly in the garage and entry. No checking as to which box number was which, and whether any were missing or not. When asked why they were just stacking the items in rows, the worker screamed at my wife and caused her to cry, then disappeared into the truck. After 20 minutes of trying to find him, he denied he had done anything. When the driver said the truck was empty, he brought a stack of papers and said I had to sign them. I refused, and told him they needed to be checked. He threatened me. I did not sign the papers, and threatened to call the police. They did over $16,000.00 damage to our antiques, and want to pay $800! You are throwing your good furniture into the dumpster if you hire these goons to move you. You should stay far away.
Description of Work: Packed our household goods and stored them; then delivered them to our new home in Florida, soiled and broken.

It went amazingly well, from the estimate to the unloading. The quote wasn't the cheapest, but after comparing them with two other companies who gave quotes, they were the most professional and the best able to work with our schedule. We started at 8am on Thursday with packing and were done around 2pm. The remainder of the packing and loading was completed between 8am and 1pm on Friday. On Monday, unloading was started at 745am and only took a few hours. The movers were professional and pleasant. I would definitely recommend them for moves from the St. Louis area.
Description of Work: Packed a 1250 square foot two bedroom apartment, loaded, transported, and delivered to a home in another state (~850 miles)

Fantastic company. Patrick Hazzard came out to my house and gave an in person estimate. It was slightly higher than the over the phone estimates I had gotten from othe companies,but significantly more realistic. I had a crew of four guys show up on time, introduce themselves, and then work like crazy on a hot day to empty my house and then deliver to my new Home. In addition to all the normal moving, these guys carried three beds, bunches of boxes, and two dressers to the third floor of my new home up narrow stairs quickly and without complaint. All of the movers were fun people to spend a day with, in addition to being incredibly efficient. No damages and they finished in less time than the original estimate.

All in all the move was pretty good, the only thing I had issues with was that they broke a couple pieces of furniture and damaged some other things. Desk and baby swing were destroyed, 2 mattresses were soiled, and bed frame was damaged.

The movers arrived right on time, had us show them where we wanted everything, and went right to work. They were hard workers and and made quick work of a process that I thought would take several hours--but thankfully didn't. In addition to placing furniture in various rooms, they had to move some very heavy items down a staircase to the basement. Nothing was damaged during the unloading process. I couldn't be more pleased with the service that Hazzard Moving provided.
Description of Work: Hazzard moving provided 3 men to unload furniture from a POD that was located in my driveway.
