He was my best friend till he got the money from me. my brother used him a few years ago, and I used him at my other house and he did fine, I don't know what has happened to him over the years but something. I feel because I'm a single women he felt he could bully me. He also came to my house wreaking like alcohol. He first told me that I was going to have a seam in the middle of my kitchen counter, then tellls me a few days later that I wouldn't have a seam, the he tells me a few days later that I would have to have a seam and it would be 4" shorter. He then told me to go pick a bigger slab, so I go look and learn than quartz only comes in on size( you would think he knew this?) so o asked him if I got quartz do I get any money back since granite is less expensive, and he said no. So I asked him for a refund and he told me that it would be awhile before he can give it to me. He had me by the balls. So I purchased another slab and he demanded I drive a check to his house, I was not going to give this guy another penny. So I called the stone company and charged it, another $1289! Long story short I finally get the countertop delivered and he said that he had to order sink clips ( I also had to take the sink to him, he would not pick it up) so he knew he needed sink clips and we are already a month and a half in and he doesn't have them? I also asked him if he could bring my slab that I bought when he comes back and he flat out said NO. So I got someone to go pick it up and they needed to know the diminsions to make sure if he needed a truck or trailer and I text Rick and asked if he knew and he said "nope" so I called the fabricator and got the diminsions. I then get a call from Rick mad that I called them and now he's not going to come and finish the job. Why did he get so upset ?? I don't know. The guy is a bully, and is not to be trusted. Do not use him! His line is "Trust me", do not trust him he will turn it around and say it is you. Check out casenet. Kind of strange that there are no reviews after 2014???

Rick is very proud of his business. Doing the right thing is very important to him. The Caesarstone that I chose had some issues, and Rick was supportive of all that I needed to do with that company. He did not leave until I was completely satisfied with everything he did. He actually went beyond what most companies would have done. I compared prices with several different companies and his was by far the most reasonable.

They showed up when they said they would and did a nice job.

Owner Rick came to my house to give an estimate for granite for kitchen. Verbal estimate was under $4000 .Wife went to Granite Home Improvements shop to pick out the granite colors she decided to do the bathroom also. Rick asked her to sign a contract and give him down payment so he could get started and come back to the house and make templates. She then gave him a check for half of his estimate that he said would be the highest price it could be. The granite was installed on the agreed upon date. After work was done I gave a worker a check for the remaining amount as per the contract with the worker saying I should call Rick in the morning. My wife called Rick to ask about the final price and ask questions about a couple of problems with the work and Rick was VERRY IGNORANT to her on the phone! I then tried to talk to him and he was the same way with me. The work is ok but I think that when you buy granite it should look very good not just ok. I do a lot of construction work and I would not want to work with someone this unprofessional again.

Rick Shaver with Granite Home improvement is the Best of the Best! We interviewed many companies before deciding to go with Rick. From the moment you meet him, his integrity, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile was apparent and his price was the best!! He installed 130 sq feet of high end granite in our kitchen all with a beautiful triple waterfall edge and custom granite backsplash. He was able to install the entire wrap around kitchen counter island with only one seam! No other company offered that. In fact, during installation a small crack occurred to the granite. Rick immediately brought it to our attention. At his own cost, he replaced an entire slab of granite and refinished it perfectly and finished the installation in a few days. Now that is integrity. You want to do business with a man like this! He also presented us with a beautiful cutting board made of our granite at the end. Every thing he did was with a perfectionist touch. I would highly recommend him. In fact several of my neighbors have also used him after seeing our kitchen and are very pleased as well.

I'm remodeling my kitchen and trying to keep my costs down. I've kept my kitchen cabinets but I was having a hard time finding a solid countertop that could be the real focal point of the room. I shopped around but all estimates were far above my budget. I have 80 s.f. of countertop, which includes a wide breakfast bar. I found just the right granite and they installed everything beautifully. I should mention that's not as easy as it sounds. None of my walls are square so they had quite a bit of work to make it look good. And trust me, it doesn't look good - it looks great! Just when I thought everything was done, Rick Shaver went to his truck and returned with a cutting /pastry board made of the same beautiful granite! What a wonderful surprise - and a cutting board I'll always be happy to have on my countertop. I must say, I hope I never have to remodel my kitchen, but if I need to my first call will be to Rick Shaver at Granite Home Improvement.

Rick and his team did a great job at a great price. You will not find a better price on granite. We had a "turn key" deal where they tore out all the old kitchen counter tops; sink and removed the stove top. After the new granite was in place, they installed a new stainless steel sink; faucet and garbage disposal that I purchased separately. They then reinstalled the gas stove top with pop up exhaust vent. It looks like a totally new kitchen! Rick stands behind his work and went the extra mile to make sure it was right!

My realtor gave me Rick's name, so I knew he had to be good. I had several "brand name" companies bid my granite countertop. Especially for higher end granite, Rick's price was by far the best. Almost 1/3 off the price quoted by competitors, which if you go for the medium or expensive granite, can add up to THOUSANDS of dollars difference, especially if you need more than the 45 square foot "average" kitchen. I was shocked at the difference in price. Plus, I know it was the same high quality stone, because he used the exact same stoneyard as the other place! Also his promised turn-around time was terrific! Other places I had to wait weeks for an estimate, then it was going to be another 2 weeks for a template appointment and at least a week after that for an install date. He was willing to get the whole job done in one week. Unfortunately we decided to scrap the project at this time. But if I were to revist it, I would certainly call Granite Home Improvements. Call them First.
