The owner of Flowmasters Plumbing did work in my home, without a signed quote from me or a verbal request from me, with the job totaling more than double what the quote was, and he never called me to give me the heads up that it was going to be over the quoted amount. He took NO ACCOUNTABILITY for doing the work, without a signed quote from me OR a verbal request from me, the home owner, but expected me to still pay for it. Thankfully, he ended up adjusting the bill ($2600) to merely cover his costs ($1125), but he drug his feet on getting the revised invoice to me AND drug his feet on getting the final inspection done for the plumbing permit, thereby preventing the buyers of my home from being able to get their occupancy permit by the day of the closing of the sale of the house. I had used him for sewer lateral work in my home back in 2013, and was pleased with the outcome and pricing, but after this experience, NEVER AGAIN! I know his work is good quality, but the way he handled the situation with me was unprofessional, irresponsible, selfish and showed a lack of accountability. If you hire him, ensure that you do so through a SIGNED QUOTE, not over the phone/verbal commitment, and SET THE EXPECTATION with him that you don't want work to go beyond the quoted amount, without permission from you. To me, if you're a service provider, it is just a common sense courtesy to let your customer know ahead of time if the work is going to go beyond the quoted amount. However, with Mike, he just did the work and sent me the bill for $1400 more than the quoted amount and gave the excuse that he was too busy to call me to discuss the situation as he was working.
