He convinced me to buy composite materials, rather than wood, which I initially wanted, because he said it would last longer and be lower maintenance. I asked that the dimensions of the porch match the dimensions of the current (broken concrete) porch. I had just gotten my awning replaced and wanted the deck fully protected from the weather by the awning. He drew no blueprint, which didn't occur to me, until he built the porch too big. It not only didn't fit under the awning but it also came right up to the floor level of my house so I could no longer pull a mat up to the door to wipe feet before entering. He left exposed raw wood on some of the columns, stairs and under the deck. I got him back to add composite to one of the columns. Then I had to buy some paint and I painted (not him) the exposed wood to match the composite color so it wouldn't be noticeable, and I touched up some scratches. I put the date as 8/2 because it is the only date I have on my inadequate paperwork. It might be the date I paid the $1500 deposit. I paid the rest after he "finished." In November I noticed the composite on an upper column had split open. I have called 4 times since 11/23. I would like the split composite replaced.
Description of Work: He tore town my existing concrete back steps/porch and constructed a new one out of composite materials.
