Please do not use this company. They are not friendly or willing to communicate. They don't care about customer service. The owner refused to discuss my issue with me. On my rental property, we had issues with outlets. My renter said they checked the breaker panel and nothing was tripped. Being that anything else is above my knowledge base, I called Fielder Electric to come out to help trouble shoot, come to find out it was indeed just a tripped breaker. They spent all of 3 minutes in my house to simply flip a switch and charged me $85 to come out there (which is fine and fair to cover the trip), but they refused to have a discussion about reducing the additional $85 full hour service charge, which totaled $170 all in, for them to flip a switch. I feel like I got robbed. There was no sympathy on the situation and basically got fully paid to do basically no work. They didn't care if they were there for only 1 minute and did no work at all. I was told "it is what it is," by the secretary and I was told the owner refused to speak or allow me to email with him. I would go with any other electrician that is willing to communicate and work with their customers and at least be heard.

The first man who came did an okay job. The box caulk was everywhere and looked really sloppy and one of the attachments wasn't connected to the house. I called and sent pictures RE the attachment. I didn't realize they could fix the caulk situation and didn't ask them to. Another man came out to fix it. He explained the trouble with the attachment was due to the hard nature of the house material underneath. He was able to attach it in four places, which is all I cared about. He also covered the caulk with a gray material without me saying a word, and now it looks really good. So everything ended up fine, it just took a couple of tries. I would give an A for quality and professionalism to the second guy that came out.

Went very well, the electrician sent over by Fielder was on time, thorough, and friendly. He also checked out some other connections in the house just to be triple sure (but likely just to show how awesome Fielder is, I don't mind.)

We had a great experience with Fielder. Matt came to the house and listened to our needs. He then looked at everything and we chatted like buddies for a little while. A couple of days later, we received the quote for the cost of the project. After gathering a few more quotes from other companies, I called Matt and asked his advice and thoughts about not only his bid but also asked him about some of the other ideas that other companies had. He was very honest and respectful of me. He took the time to educate me on the process of what needed to be done to properly finish our project. My wife and I felt very comfortable with his responses and decided to hire him to complete the project. We scheduled the job for a couple of weeks later. Neither of us were home when the project was being completed, but I did make it home right at the end, as the gentleman was cleaning up. He was so polite, respectful of our property, and took his job very seriously. He was explaining to me that he approaches every job as though he were doing it for his family at his home. I appreciate that very much. He cleaned up very thoroughly, did not cuts any corners in the work, and left our house in better shape than when he arrived. We would definitely hire Fielder Electric again to do any electrical work in the future. We trust Matt and his team completely and are honored and blessed to have found them.

Work was very well done and completed within one working day. The electrician was friendly, knowledgeable, and on time. Office staff were responsive and coordinated the appointment and the city's inspection well. I got three bids and theirs was the lowest.

They were friendly, efficient, the service was good, and in multiple jobs I've had done, I always found the price very reasonable.

i've been struggling with some inadequate wiring in my garage for over 20 years. Fielder Electric came out installed a new switch on the inside wall of the garage versus the old switch located in the kitchen. Many, many times the garage lights were left on since we could not see from inside the house that the lights were on. Everytime I turn the garage lights on...and off, i kick myself for not doing it years earlier. They also added several shop lights in the ceiling of the garage which involved new wiring as well as re-configuration of existing lighting. My daughter has used Fielder Electric to remove some old knob and tube wiring and replace with new wiring. They did a superb job there as well. Mr. Fielder was personally involved in estimating the cost of the job and sharing his insight and recommendations. Very nice, very articulate.

We had Fielder do 2 previous jobs for us. They did the wiring for our new kitchen and then we had them upgrade our service from 100 amp to 200 amps. The electricians that came to the house have always been professional and efficient as well as very friendly. We have had no trouble and have been very happy with the work performed. We are currently finishing our basement and we have just contracted Fielder to do the wiring. I have also been very fortunate to have Glenn quote all 4 jobs for us. There have never been any hidden costs and we have always paid exactly what was quoted up front.

Bottom line, if you have a historic home and are looking to replace knob & tube wiring, Fielder should be one of the people you have bid on the project. I cannot rave enough about the work Joe and Nick did. It was clear from my first interactions with them that they really, really knew what they were doing with these old homes. Joe and Nick have a base of knowledge from working with historic properties that impressed me, my realtor, and everyone else (including the inspector) that has seen their work. Because of their knowledge and their level of expertise, they were able to remove and replace the knob & tube wiring with very minimal damage to the plaster walls - certainly nothing like I expected. They protected the floors and cleaned as they went. They were respectful, honest, hard-working, intelligent, experienced, communicative - pretty much the dream experience from a homeowners' perspective. Every time I stopped by the house (random times of day due to a hectic schedule) they were hard at work on something and had something else to show me. Frankly, I miss having them around the house - they were that personable, that trustworthy, and that wonderful to work with. Again, if you're looking to have work done on an old home I don't think you can go wrong by hiring them, and you'd do yourself a disservice if you didn't have them come out to bid the project.

They were quick and the work they did was good.

He was punctual, did everything to code, and was the least expensive of all 3 bids I received.

The electrician was on time, worked efficiently, an had the project done in about half a day. He also made sure that the outlet he installed was where it was most appealing.

They were very responsible in fixing the problem and just giving us info on some other issues of concern which they could have charged us more. Professional work at a fair price. That's what this country needs to get back too!! I highly recommend them.

Very good professional work. Everything went very smoothly. We encountered a few minor 'old house' issues. In each case the electrician explained exactly what was needed what our options were to resolve. We also wanted to move the location of the dining chandelier (which we had not clearly communicated at the time of the estimate) and this required running new wire from the switch, which we had not anticipated. They were able to rapidly provide an estimate for this additional work and complete it during a second visit a few days after the first. Installation required a few holes in the plaster, and cutting into the plaster on one of the outside walls. All the potential damage was clearly explained ahead of time, was minimal, and the electricians cleaned up after the work was complete. Pricing was very competitive. I would certainly use them again.

They did a good job. I keep on getting them if I have an electrical problem but one thing they won't do is clean up. I've used them four times and I had no problems with them. They do the work and write a report on it.

Fielder's electrician arrived pn time and worked dilligently to handle preplanned assignments. He also performed a couple of additional tasks that we brought to his attention. We were very pleased with the manner in which Fileder handled the estimate and performed the work. The results exceeded our expectations.

Great! Excellent work. Electrician finished in one day! Contractor and drywaller recommended by electrician done on 2nd day. Electrician and contractor coordinated work to make project done in least amount do time.

Matt, the owner, came through my condo and worked up the bid from my list of requested services. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain what needed to be done and how it would be accomplished. The office staff and scheduler, Christine and Erin, were very friendly and followed through on scheduling the work. Ellery, who actually did the work on the 9th and 10th, arrived on time, got to work promptly, and completed the work in a timely manner. I am pleased with the work Fielder Electric did and will be using them again for more projects in the future.

They were much quicker doing the electricla than we were doing cabinets, dry wall, and painting.

Every person who came to my house was professional, personable and on time! I highly recommend this company :)

The electrician was timely and knew his business. The work was done quickly and he pointed out a problem with the bathroom exhaust fan's size and placement which we will need to address. He also spotted and corrected an improperly sized circuit breaker which was causing a lot of unnecessary circuit trips. We will be using Fielder again to install wiring for an additional heating device in an add-on room later this year.

From estimate to completion the job went very smoothly even though the outside temperature was pretty cold. They did a great job and the St. Louis City inspector even commented on what a good job they had done. We are hoping to get another estimate from them in the near future for more inside work.

Not only did they not charge me for their 1st diagnostic visit, they were very courteous and explained all repairs needed. They sent an electrician the next day, before noon and charged the exact amount quoted (+ tax). I would definitely not only use them for future visits, I would highly recommend their services to others.

We’ve had no complaints and the guy who’s in our house is doing great work. I really like him and we have even talked with him about Christianity since we’re both Christians. He has done everything to our specifications. His price on this has been very fair.
