Adre showed up on time and ready to go. He had the needed parts on his truck and was able to replace the springs on both doors plus do the maintenance and adjustment in less than 2 hours. My doors are so smooth and quiet now! All this for a great price also. I wish all service techs were like Andre from Edelen Door!

The spring on my garage door broke on 12/6, luckily I was able to get the door open and my car out so I could get to work on time. I started calling for estimates for a new door and opener. I was going to replace both in the spring of next year but this moved it forward in the planning. I got 2 quotes, 1 was right in my budget but they wouldn't do the extra trim work around my garage door opening, the other quote was ~$700 over my budget but it did include the extra trim work. Both were projecting to be at least 2 weeks out for installation. I decided I needed at least 1 more quote. My mom said in passing that she used Edelen when she got her door replaced several years ago, so I called for a quote. John N. met me at my house on 12/11, came in just below my budget (including the extra trim work) and could get everything installed on 12/13. I was so happily surprised, I couldn't believe the difference between companies. The Edelen installers showed up on time (a little early actually) and everything was done and they were gone in 3 hours, as promised. I made the best choice in door, opener and more importantly company to work with. I recommend this company for garage door and opener work.

Installation went fine. After about 6 months a couple strips fell off the door. I called them and they came out and repaired them. Then about 2 years after the installation the storm door began to pull away from the door frame. The door was not abused. It is a basement door that can go weeks without being opened. Also I am a senior citizen with only my wife and I living her. In addition the door when opened sometimes would not close. They came out to repair it but now charged me $80 to repair it. They did not install it the first time properly as the new installation was completely different. Now the strips are falling off again.

The spring was obviously broken. The service technician 'DC' was very professional, on-time, courteous, performed work as expected. And 'DC' went Above and Beyond in Explaining what was needed recommended and how much things would cost. It became obvious there was more going on with our door than what we saw on the surface. We are very happy with the results and we would recommend this company. We didn't feel like we were up sold anything even though our repair required more work than what we initially thought. The price was very fair, and the work was done in a professional Workman like manner to our greatest satisfaction. Thank you Edelen Door and Window for the exceptional service.

JD (the tech) was on-time and very professional. He diagnosed and repaired the problem which was a faulty switch. In addition to addressing the immediate problem, he performed other service items which has greatly improved the opener'd performance.

After cancelling the deals, I got a call form John Edelen, who apologized several times for salesman John's communication and said he would discuss with him. I completely understand that the flood damaged the supplier and that was well beyond anyones control. They are not the only business to be affected by the flood waters from the Meremac River. The frustrating part was the communication and John continuing to promise bids and continuing to be unable to deliver them. We choose another local door company that was able to bid the doors and get them ordered in the timeframe in which they said they would. I do not believe Edelen Door is a bad company, nor do they have bad people. They just dropped the ball on this project and it may have cost them $10-$12,000 in the process.

Wonderful company from the salesman to the gentleman who installed the door. I was a bit worried since it was a 50 year old door on a cement frame, but the end result is fabulous. I definately would recommend them.

I made an appointment with Ederlen to fix one of my garage door openers that has failed to repond to the remote and also the keyless entry pad. I made my decision to use Ederlen because of their A rating and because they initially installed all three garage doors and openers. The technician came out at the appointed time and diagnosed the problem as "outside interference". He extended the transmitter antenna wire to near the door, but that didn't help at all. He made a recommendation of either installing a new remote transmitter ($120) or a whole new drive ($359). I called the office the next day and asked if they would reimburse me for the initial service call ($80) if I opted for a new drive and was told they would credit me for half ($40). I mentioned that another company offered the installation for $285, and would they match that? The owner told me that they couldn't because they had employees and overhead and "some of these other guys operated out of their garage or basement". I thought his attitude was condescending, not only toward me but toward other garage door businesses. I contacted another installer to complete the work not caring whether he operated out of his basement or his linen closet as long as he fixed my problem at a reasonable cost.

Installer arrived on time and did a great job installing our new garage door. Our old garage door was 40 years old and was starting to fall apart. The install went quickly even though it was not a standard install (low ceiling in parts of the garage). Now with the new install we have a very nice and very quiet garage door.

It went very well. The technician Realigned the door and replaced some stubborn rollers.

They did a really good job. They were very professional. They called and verified appointments when they were coming. They actually showed up a little earlier. The price was very competitive. They have given me a quote on doing windows for the house too, but I'm not ready to do that yet.

I called a couple of the Angie list recommended providers as we had decided to have our garage door replaced. Edelen contacted me a gave us a lot of info over the phone. The overhead door person just said their door started at $1000 and up and we should call them when we are ready to purchase and someone will give us a more accurate quote but we should be prepared for at least $1000. Edelen guy came out. Measured, and wrote out a quote with his recommendations and the cost of options I inquired about. No pressure. Overhead said they would have someone call me. 4 days later no call. Called Edelen and told him our selection. He gave me the total price which was what we had budgeted and expected. young man came out to install within 1 week. Took out old garage door, replaced opener, remotes keypad. He was courteous, clean, professional. It looks and works wonderful. We are exceptionally pleased. Highly recommend.

It went very well. They were very prompt. They were out the next day. He was very knowledgeable and told me about the things that I need to do maintenance wise.

Dodie was my contact at Edelen and he was fantastic. He answered all of my questions regarding the work, installation and the products that they offered. Edelen coordinated with the contractor that was finishing the garage repair work to ensure that the door was delivered as soon as the garage was ready. This eliminated having to board up the garage door space or leave it wide open in January. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this service.

Both technicians had a terrible attitude and I felt they were trying to upsell me a new garage door instead of fixing it as I was asking. At the end, I asked him to code my opener, and he was even going to charge me extra for that. I bought my door from them 40 years ago and have had nothing but good experiences until this time. Due to this experience, I do not plan to use them again.

I have used them before and would do so again.

Edelen was quite responsive. They built both doors for special circumstances: first was a door from garage to sidewalk, and we wanted small, high window to provide light but no visibility from outside into garage; second was back exterior door which went from stair landing to patio. Door did have storm and screen, but interior screen door had to be opened onto the landing, which made falling down stairs a real risk. They built door which would serve as both storm and screen and which would open outward, avoiding the landing risk. The measured, had the doors built, and installed them. There were some adjustments necessary for the back door, but these were made without a problem.

We had a 1:00 appt and the installer, Jason was prompt. I am very particular as to whom I will leave alone in my home, so naturally I took the day off and as it turns out, I didn't need to. Not only is this company AAA, their employees are as well. I just can't say enough good things about the installer or the company. I have already told my close family and friends, to dump the other door company they have and switch, they will thank me later. And you will too, if you take my review to heart. Once you go Edelen, you won't go anywhere else!!!!!

Experience was as expected ..... just fine.

Had to wait two weeks for the door we ordered to arrive, but once it came in they installed it, explained all that they did, cleaned up and hauled everything away. They did a great job.

I went to their showroom and looked at the doors they offered and the salesperson answered my questions. I set up an appointment for an estimator to check my garage and make an estimate. The estimator arrived on time made the estimate and answered my questions. We scheduled a time for the installation. The installer arrived on time and did a good job replacing the door and installing the opener and explaining how to operate them and helped me program the "homelink" in my car to operate the opener. The installer cleaned up and took all the old material with him when he left. I recommended Edelen to one of my neighbors who also wanted a new door, and the neighbor also chose Edelen.

We scheduled an appointment for a garage door repair and explained in advance that work had to be completed prior to a family medical appointment. Their employee arrived 20 minutes before the time we had explained we had to leave and told us the job would take an hour. I left work (taking vacation time) to be at our home so my wife could leave for the appt only to arrive home and be told that the work could not be done due to a faulty oxygen tank on the worker's truck. The worker had no backup tank and refused to return to his office to replace the tank. Both the worker and the business owner refused to adjust their price for the inconvenience or loss of my work time and personal leave. I requested that the owner call me and gave the employee my card. The owner never had the professionalism or courtesy to call.
