Ronald Dunn is the painter and it’s his new business. I was waiting for him all day yesterday since he said that he would be there and he is in the middle of my bathroom remodeling project. He said he has some sanding to do and then he can paint. However, I got no phone call and he didn’t show up or anything. I called him, but he hasn’t called back. He was referred by the contractor who put the bathroom in. I know he has to work today and tomorrow at some other jobs he has. However, we can’t put anything in our medicine cabinets that are in the bathroom because he is going to sand. We can’t even leave our bath towel in there. It would make a horrible mess when he comes back and does the sanding. So, I am just frustrated. The painting project involves taking the wallpaper off the walls and making the walls nice. Then it involves sanding and painting. The wallpaper removal is done and the sanding is almost done. I am now waiting for a call from Ronald. I always felt like he was making stuff up when he was talking. I am getting tired of being patient with him. His deal was $250 plus $290. The cost for the wallpaper removal was $250 upfront. Then he had to come back later to fix and paint the walls. I don’t know if $250 for wallpaper removal is a great deal. He was reasonably affective at that. He gave me a separate quote for the painting which is $290. On the card, it says that Ronald specializes in painting, drywall, tuck-pointing and masonry. I don’t know what the finish product would look like. I am hoping that it turns out that he is good at what he does. I think his price is high and I think I could have done it for about $400 because it’s not a very big room. I don’t totally undermine him. I would never use him again in the future. I would find anybody for anything to try again to have a more satisfactory deal. I hope the best for Ronald. He has a fine heart, but he just needs a lot of growing up.
