Him and his son came to the house. They were ready to do the job as some as they got there. I thought it would take longer then it did. they also plastered around my front door that had a lot of plaster falling out. I was very pleased with their work and plan on having them out in the future. They cleaned up and was gone about 3:00 pm. they arrived at the time they said they would. Around 8:30 am. I am glad I found Angie.s list also.

Great job done by Dowell. My ceiling had some sand type finishing and was done very poorly years ago by the previous owner. I wanted to get a smooth ceiling. Wayne and his son came the night I called and gave me a quote of $1740 for the work to be done, 2 ceilings to be redone with round edges. I got a quote from another plastering company that was about the same amount. I picked Dowell because he could start the job earlier. I am very happy by the job that has been accomplished by them. They spent 3 days to get my ceilings done. They were clean and respectful and cleaned up when the job was done.

I found Wayne and Jason on Angies List. They were able to come out and do the bid right away (even came after work so I could be there). Wayne clearly knew about the various plaster fininshing techniques, which we were worried about as it's hard to find real plasterers like Wayne. They were able to start working right away, which was important to us. They showed up on time every day and talked to us about everything they were doing, always returned calls quickly, etc. We were doing a major renovation throughout the house, and we weren't living there so no one was there much of the time. Wayne was actually able to give advice and help with all sorts of other projects that were going on, and agreed to work around the other subcontractors that were there. He made sure all of his repairs looked right and did a great job matching the plaster finishes that were already there. Initially we had a little sticker shock about the price, but it turned out to be a huge project that was well worth it. Wayne even came back after his work was done to fix some damage another subcontractor did at a very fair price. We were actually a little sad to see him finish and leave and we will definitely recommend him for plaster work to our neighbors.

They were very professional and fantastic. They took their time to finish the work properly. They cleaned up everything at the end and left my house in good shape. I would definitely use them again in the future too if needed.

They arrived within 15min of the expected time and surrounded the work area with plastic sheets from ceiling to floor. The most difficult area was the concave plaster ceiling molding on which they did a very nice job. The damage is in a very visible area above the fireplace. After their repairs I can't tell that it had been damaged. They cleaned up the area well before they left. We were very pleased with the quality of their work and the price.

They were very prompt and thorough throughout. Their work is excellent, professionally done. They consulted me on all choices about paint, tile, appliances and made good suggestions when requested. This is a family business, and they work together. Always courteous. Very responsive if I have a question or request. I felt they went out of their way to be accommodating. I would use them again.

They came out within two days of my calling for an estimate and explained what needed to be done. I was given a price range based on what they may find when they tore out the wall. Even though the damage was more extensive than what was expected, Mr. Dowell's charges didn't exceed the maximum on his estimate. He called a third person to assist so they could be done within one day. I really appreciated that because I'd told him that my daughter, who has asthma, would be home the next day and I would need to keep her out of the house while they worked. Their professionalism exceeded my expectations.

Wayne came over within a couple of days to review the job and provide a competitive estimate. When I called to schedule the work, it took a few days to get a response, as he was away on vacation. He arrived promptly with a helper and got the job done within a few hours.The job was well done, and the cleanup was thorough. Wayne was personable and professional, and I would hire him again.

A 4 ft by 4 ft area of my bedroom ceiling fell down unexpectedly. I called Wayne the next day. He gave me an affordable quote and was able to perform the work the same day. It looks great. He is a retired industrial arts teacher. He learned how to plaster from his father over 50 years ago and has been doing it ever since then when not teaching.

He did excellent work and we were extremely happy with the finished product. He is very reasonably priced.
