He started the work in late July, 2009. We gave him $9,000.00 cash up front. He never gave us a contract, he said he would, but he never presented one. When he originally came, he quoted me a price and I agreed. He started the work and was very sporadic. He would show up and then not come back for three weeks. The end of 2010, early 2011 we tried calling him and he never responded. He had only finished part of the work. We finally called a local news channel to track him down. He did come back and completed a few more things. Then, that same day, he just took his tools and never came back. He had removed all of the floorboards and they have not been replaced. He has yet to finish the work in he master bath and bedroom. He only installed the floor registers in some areas. We now have to hire someone else to finish the work. In the beginning, he seemed like a very pleasant, honest person. We even gave him a key to the house so he could work while we were not home because we trusted him to come in the house. I would not recommend him. Only pay half up front, agree on a price, and always get a contract.
