Denton tuckpointed our chimney in April 2001 and March 2005. The past experiences were pleasant and no surprises. However, the worked done December 2008 was not acceptable. The chimeny looked terrible since too much motar was applied. Quite a few stones were entirely covered over in motar with no recessed joints. The top half of the chimney and bottom half looked completely different. The motar color didn't come close to matching. We had the owner of the company come to the house to inspect the job. When asked what could be done to correct the work, he gave no resolution other than to pay him for what we thought the job was worth. Since we were happy with the company's previous work, I assumed he would have someone else come out and correct the problem. That was not offered. We paid nothing since we hired another Angie's list contractor to correct the problem. In addition, the gutter was dented in by the work crews ladder. We were paid for the damage which I thought was very professional on their part considering they had a very unhappy customer and had received no payment from us. I am happy to say the other Angie's list contractor did a fantastic job and our chimeny looks great. Unable to attached before and after pictures. They are PDF files, not jpg
Description of Work: Stone (not brick) chimeny spot tuckpointed from the roofline up and waterproofing. Estimate was received promptly. Estimate for work $660. Did not pay for the work since it was not acceptable.

Mr. Kasate did a good job of communicating--told me what he would be able to do and what he could not do. Told me when he would be able to do the job and then called again a few days ahead to let me know when he was coming. Did the job pretty much the way he described it and also did a small extra job at no extra charge. Overall the company was professional and performed as they said they would. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I hired this company to fix the damage done by a previous tuckpointing company and to do some new tuckpointing. This was not listed as a category in this form, so I selected chimney caps.
