I drove from Lake of The Ozark to have my kitchenAid stand mixer fixed. The owner told me about places where we could have lunch and he fixed my mixer in an hour and a half. They were very nice and did an excellent job. They came highly recommended and I’d recommend them as well.
Description of Work: KitchenAid stand mixer repaired.

Crestwood appliance cost me an unnecessary service visit and $225 bill because they rudely and incorrectly told me I was wrong in my oven Diagnosis. I thought I needed an oven igniter, brought the part in and stated I needed a new one. The clerk told me it had continuity, refused to sell me the part, dismissed me and helped the next person. I left, reconsidered the incomplete answer, went back, asked again if I could buy the part. He said no; the old one worked. I apologized, asked if he could think of something else that caused the problem, and was told I was wrong and dismissed again. I called a repairman who came and told me of course it was the oven igniter (he immediately came to this conclusion after a one sentence description of the problem), told me continuity of the part meant nothing in this context, put a new one in (fewer than 5 minutes) and reassembled what I had already dismantled to get to the igniter, and charged me $70 for the part and $155 for labor and visit.
Description of Work: Incorrect information about a part led to a $225 repair. Terrible service. Because of this service, I had no oven for thanksgiving!

Description of Work: There are two Crestwood appliance repairs, I have a small issue with a repair and thinking this was the repair business I contacted for service I call them to inquire about solution to problem and was promptly told that they contract out and I would need to contact the repairman. I called whom they said came out to service my appliance and discovered it was not the correct technician. When I called again to find the correct person who did fix my appliance the man at Crestwood appliance repair was VERY nasty belligerent and rude with no intention of helping me. When I tried to explain he hung up on me. It was through more internet research I found out I had called the wrong Crestwood Appliance repair place. When I called the other store they were far nicer and more helpful to resolve the issue.

I brought it in, they had the replacement part, and it was ready the next day. But I was charged for the part, and for $100 in labor, which did seem somewhat excessive. As the only game in town, I guess they are free to charge whatever they wish.
Description of Work: The rotating plate on my 3-year old KitchenAid mixer fell off when I tried with no success to grind meat with the meat grinder attachment. They are the only factory authorized repair shop for Kitchen Aid.
