Charter Communication

Trying to switch to Charter cost me over $100. Their equipment was not compatible with my home, even though neighbors use it. Prior companies equipment removed during self install. Had to wait 5 days for installer to arrive. That is when we found out not compatible. Could not hook it back up and had to pay someone to redo it. There is much more to this story. Customer service awful and rude. I regret ever dealing with them

We had another service and we switched over to Charter. I don't know what the immediate cost was but it wasn't a lot. It was less expensive than the other company cost. The price is good. Their service is much better and consistent than the company we replaced. I gave them a lot of B's because whenever we would run into problems, it took a long time to get them to fix it

They could have made my internet work better during the rain storms. We like Charter and I've used it in the past but in our particular location, every time it rains, we would lose the internet. The technician came out and decided that it was the line in the back and the squirrels were eating the insulation off of it. They were supposed to replace the line but never replaced it. So I switched to AT&T.

They're very expensive. Sometimes I'll lose cable or the internet connection will go down. They are the only one I can use here. If I get internet, I'm paying this high premium that I really shouldn't be paying, like $60. But, if I get the whole package deal, they only charge me $30. So, I'm paying $60 a month for internet which is all I really need. Then for an additional $30 more, I get cable and then I have to get this landline. So, it doesn't meet my real needs.

They should lower their pricing. I waited on the line when I called their customer service.

Fixed problem with questionable concerns.

Installation went very well. I was given incorrect information about cost of service after the initial promo period. Don't feel I can trust this company because I was lied to and quoted a lower post-promo period cost in order to get me signed up.

Very pleasant experience. Knowledgeable and helpful installer.

Install no problem. Service better than dish.

They did an excellent job install. Worked with me in how and where i wanted the wifi hub located. I had an old cable modem that i owned, and then they required i upgrade and was allowed to upgrade without additional cost.

Good. Wireless internet fastest I could find and great TV app

We have had Charter services for over 8 years and we love it. We have very little outage issues and the speeds are great. The TV service has issues from time to time but who doesn't. They fix them quickly and are improving services each and everyday. I have had DishNetwork in the past and glad I left them for Charter.

Basically, it was fine. Somewhat comical. Finger-pointing and criticism of other Cable/Internet companies (who may have been the ones who inadvertently interrupted my service.) The technicians were able to find and diagnose the problem rather quickly and the repair went fast, also.

Talked to someone named Michael who was not too bright but friendly enough until I told him I was not ready to buy and that I was just checking to see if service was available. When I told him this, he became very aggressive and hostile. At one point he actually said and quot;why are you all of a sudden not ready to buy now that I have told you the price? What's your problem?and quot; I don't care if it costs three times as much to go somewhere else, I will never do business with a company like this. I recommend that you do the same.

Service technician said it was "impossible" to provide an internet drop in more than one location. Charter told me it could be done for a modest cost. Service tech cut multiple cables externally (I had previously had a dish antenna) and internally to my cable drops without my permission. Service tech installed an extra clamp on the internet cable to prevent me from switching the internet to a preferred cable drop. Service tech failed to schedule a cable burial date. Charter sent a second tech who inspected the work, offered to repair cut cables, and who scheduled the cable burial. The follow up was good, but it should not have been needed.

Had problems with a mess that was made in the front yard after cable run, but that has been cleared-up on my own account. Service is great, and they are out and lt; 24 hours for all calls - only had two blips of interruption in the past year - great service but expensive.

About once a month I had to reboot the box and reconnect the computer. The main problem was just the price increase. Way too expensive when I can now get TV AND Cable for $60 a month.

The pricing is fine, but the speed is not reliable. The service reliability is low. I chose them because of the pricing. I have called them a lot, probably 20 times over the last three months. The overall experience is good. The price is excellent. They are punctual and professional. I will continue to use this provider.
