Our experience with Tyler Mahley was a renovation nightmare. It took 5 months to get project almost completed. Although Tyler Mahley claims the project is complete, we still have the following problems; a heated floor that doesn?t work, a cracked granite vanity top, a shower enclosure that is not what we ordered, and very uneven decorative tile. Based on his lack of integrity on the renovation project, I would find any inspection report he issued to be suspect. He did not seem to have an understanding of the work done by sub-contractors. For example, his heating sub-contractor told us we needed to pay extra to get a circulating pump replaced when the problem was with the installation. Tyler didn't seem to have any knowledge of a radiator heat sytem. We finally had our own heating contractor come in and fix the problem caused by Tyler's sub-contractor. Tyler told us the new electric panel could be installed horizontally to get it out of the way of the dryer. Instead after it was installed, we were told it had to be vertical which is inches from the top of the dryer. Someone who is inspecting houses should have knowledge of all aspects of the construction and he does not. Based on the poor quality work he did at our house and his apparent lack of knowledge of sub-contractor work, I would not recommend using him for a home inspection.
Description of Work: While Tyler Mahley was doing a renovation project at our house, he volunteered to do a home inspection since he was studying to be a home inspector. He did not end up doing the inspection after there were so many issues with our renovation project
