+ -1 moreI think this 30 year policy of Brody's is entirely unreasonable. I will not shop at this company again and would not recommend it to others. I definitely recommend the delivery company, Dain's delivery, who were very professional and reasonable under the circumstances - while Brody's was not.
Description of Work: The provider would not refund the purchase price of a mirrored chest that was too large for my powder room. It fit the space but made it difficult for men to use the commode. When the delivery company (recommended by the merchant - but not part of the Brody company) broke a small piece of mirror on one drawer in the chest, Brody's would not accept return of the merchandise in spite of the fact that the delivery company had already arranged replacement of the mirror - which would take approximately two weeks. I was told that the delivery company was responsible for refunding the entire amount for the chest - not Brody's. Brody's had a five day return policy and the chest was picked up for return to Brody's by the delivery company on the second day - but Brody's refused to accept it.

+ 0 moreI had an old (antique?) ceiling pendant that I purchased on eBay that I had installed in my foyer. After a while the fixture started to flicker, so I took it into Brody's to have it rewired and a new socket installed. I dropped it off around 12:30 pm on Friday, and was astonished to receive a call on Saturday morning around 9:30 am informing me that my fixture was ready for pickup. The work looked very solid, and since my husband re-installed it yesterday, it has worked perfectly - no flickering. Super friendly staff waited on me. Nice place, professional vibe, incredibly fast turnaround.

+ 0 moreAs indicated in other reports, Brody's product prices are substantially higher than the "big box" stores. However, the personal service, great selection, and high quality of products definetly make it worthwhile. Also, the repair prices are reasonable. Kudos especially to Dan, who went beyond the call of duty to find exact shade that we wanted. He even later called about the repair to discuss a change in the type of socket, in order to be fully functional. The repair was done right and on time. If, Dan is not in, do not worry. All the clerks were pleasant and helpful.
Description of Work: We needed a new shade for a 30 year old Japanese ginger jar lamp and, also, to have a new socket installed in the lamp. Dan quickly found shade styles similar to the original shade, determined which we preferred, and even selected the correct size of "harp", so that the new shade sat at the proper height on the lamp. He then inspected the socket to be repaired and explained some issues that might arise. (The switch controlled not only the main bulb, but also a secondary night light inside the ginger jar).

+ -1 moreWE NEEDED A LAMPSHADE FOR A LAMP AND THEY SEEMED TO HAVE ONE OF THE LARGEST SELECTIONS IN TOWN. THEIR PRICES SEEM HIGH BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HARD-TO-FIND SIZE, I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. THEY ALSO HAVE A VAST SELECTION OF LAMPS WITH A VERY WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES (AGAIN, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING UNIQUE, IT WOULD BE WORTH CHECKING OUT THEIR SELECTION). FOR LAMPSHADES, THEY RECOMMEND BRINGING THE LAMP ALONG, AND I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH THAT.

THEY ARE PACKED WITH LAMPS, MIRRORS, PRINTS, AND MANY INTERESTING AND UNIQUE ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR HOME. I THOUGHT THE PRICE FOR THE MIRROR WAS VERY REASONABLE.
