+ -1 moreCourtney was exactly on time, very professional and went to great lengths to locate the yard vent so as to avoid the extra time and cost of working through the roof vent. We could not be more pleased and will use Bore's Plumbing in the future. Although, not to soon, hopefully!
Description of Work: My home's incoming and outgoing sewer line was clogged with sludge. Courtney located the yard vent (it was grown over with grass) and thoroughly cabled and cleaned the line.

+ 0 moreCourtney arrived close to promised time, courteous, gregarious and knowledgeable. What started as a mere kitchen sink (in my unqualified opinion) wouldn't drain turned into more than bargained for with two flow stoppages between sink and street sewer. Courtney communicated and walked me thru each step of his work. I'm disabled and stairs were challenging but made it up and down to watch his work and listen to his description. He cleaned up his equipment, had me run water to see it was free flowing, cleaned faucet and left.
Description of Work: Unstopped kitchen drain and drain from house to street.

+ -1 moreI received a heads up phone call from the Bores, notifying me the plumbers were on their way with the tank. The crew, led by Jerry arrived at the scheduled time. Jerry explained to me exactly what the installation entailed, and the guys went straight to work. They were clean, neat, and professional. They were very careful working around my newly installed (and very expensive) furnace. The installation went well. Their plumbing skills were among the best I've ever seen, and I am very picky as I used to work in residential construction. After they finished Jerry showed me the work and went over the invoice with me. The job site was left cleaner than they found it. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Our water heater began to fail due to thermal expansion issues. Although not an emergency situation, I knew that problem would only get worse, and the trickle leak we were dealing with could eventually become a major problem if not addressed soon. I explored all of my options including installing the tank on my own as I consider myself handy, but am aware of my limitations and when to call a pro. I contacted Bores Plumbing and spoke with Sandy, who was very friendly. I explained to her the situation and she provided me with an estimate over the phone and scheduled an installation date. They install State brand water heaters which in my opinion are the best heaters on the market, I would even go so far as to say that this brand is better than anything available to the DIY market at the "big box" stores. In the meantime I researched the cost of purchasing a comparable hot water heater on my own and doing the installation myself; and after it was all said and done, I only would've only saved $85, the installation would not have been to my liking, and I would have had to dispose of the tank on my own.

+ 0 moreI called Bore's Plumbing in the morning of the 15th; they were able to work us into their schedule by the afternoon. The gentleman who came out to our home was friendly and courteous. He explained what my problem was (drain had sat for many years without much use and was rusted) and worked hard to fix it - even breaking his equipment in the process. Efficient. Respectful. And, successful!

+ -1 moreThe job was done very well in just a few hours. After coming to the house he had to go to the supply house to get the correct valve. While he was there he took picked-up a new brushed nickel trim kit (faucet, shower handle w/escutcheon and shower head). His original estimate for the job was $325. Including the trim kit, installed, it was $395. The price was wonderful. I couldn't believe the cost of all the trim including installation only added $70.00! The work was done in a very workmanlike manner and he even cleaned up the tub afterward. I highly recommend Bore's Plumbing.
Description of Work: Bore's Plumbing replaced the tub/shower valve and installed a new brushed nickel trim kit. The price charged by Bore was over $500 less than another bid I got.

Suggested ad from yellow pages which saved us $20 and gave us advice on what to put down garbage disposal and what not to put down disposal. He was courteous, informative and VERY pleasant.. I would request Mike Myers again.. This is our second experience with Bore's and cannot praise them enough for the excellent personalities and knowledge of their plumbers! They also are resonable in pricing their work

Found the outside cleanout and did the job for the quoted price. I used this company in 2009 for more extensive work and they actually charged less than the estimate as the job was easier than estimated.

+ -1 moreThe plumber, Courtney, was excellent, friendly and gave me good advice about the structure, u-pipe in my yard, that was clogged with grease. The Sunday dispatcher was prompt to return my 7 a.m. call and Courtney arrrived at noon. We really appreciated their being available on Sunday on such short notice. This was our first experience with Bore's Plumbing and Sewer Service. Courtney even recommended on - line coupon and gave us a senior discount. I'm planning on having Bore's again to diagnose a water pressure problem. They know what they are doing and are PLEASANT and HELPFUL.
Description of Work: Sewer was backing up into the basement. We waited 24 hours without drains or toilets or sinks to see if something was lodged and would clear itself, but it didn't, alas!

The price was reasonable and they would have been able to come out today but there was a problem.....This was for a rental house of mine, and since I could not be there the tenant was willing to write a check on my behalf to get it done. This arrangement was not acceptable to Bore's and they only wanted cash. What really made this annoying was that I was a repeat customer. This just tells me that money is more important to them than flexibility. I was able to make successful arrangements with A&J Drain Service- thank you A&J.

+ -1 moreService person arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. He also found that the septic tank needed to be pumped out. This task was scheduled for the next morning. I was called 2 hours (early morning) before the truck was scheduled to arrive and told the driver was ill and wouldn't be able to perform the task that day. Since this was an emergency and they didn't want me to wait any longer than necessary she gave me the name & number of a company that she had checked with that could do the pump-out that day. I called the other company and the job was completed that day. This showed me that Bore's Plumbing is a company that goes above and beyond to help their customers.

+ -1 moreFor several months now we haven't been able to do our laundry due to the backing up of water into our kitchen sinks and then overflowing in the laundry room. We had just had the flooring in there partially replaced. We had poured a lot of liguid drain cleaners down our kitchen drain but none of them ever made it to the clog undiluted. Thank you so very much Boer's Plumbing and especially to Mike Myers.
Description of Work: Mike Myers answered our call within the hour after being called. He ran a 50' cable in our drain pipe twice to clear the partial blockage we had.

As I was about to pay he informed me that they have a coupon in the back of the phone book so I was able to save $10. I thought that these guys were good and would use them again.

+ -1 moreThe basement sewer drain backed up on a Saturday morning. The repairman was at the house 30 minutes after I called the office. He was 30 minutes ahead of schedule (which was great!). Once at the house, he determined the blockage was between the external access point and the connection to the sewer. He then bored the blockage out and ran the boring tool back to the house to make sure the entire line was cleared. It only took 30 minutes to complete the job. Saturday calls are more expensive then weekday calls ($25) but well worth not having to wait until Monday.
Description of Work: My sewer backed up into the basement. The repairman was able to bore through the blockage quickly. The sewer was cleaned from the access point to the street (where the blockage was). He also ran the tool back toward the house for preventative maintenance.
