Description of Work: This contractor stole $2,500 from us. - I met Don, delivered a check for $2,500 on a roof job. (down payment) - He assured me it could be done within a week. - He never called, never showed up, and would never return a call. That has been almost one year ago.

+ -1 moreMarch 26, 2011-signed contract for roof repair. Work to be fitted in soon as it was a small job. Berry took $140 deposit for materials and never showed up to work. He had done a neighbor's roof in 2008, apparently satisfactorily, and a small siding repair for us at that time, so we felt we knew him. Several phone calls transpired in late April and May with excuses/promises for not doing the work. In June he stopped answering his phone and voice mail was full. June 28, 2011-sent Berry letter to address on contract demanding refund of $140 by July 10. As expected no response. This is a contractor to be avoided at all costs. He's slick enough to make a good imprression, but don't trust him. June 10, 2012-Berry refunded the $140. I would still avoid him.
