Description of Work: Dave from Barco Construction was very responsive to my request and came to the house to review and analyze the projects; he was here for about 1 hour. Left after taking notes and conversing in depth. Upon leaving he mentioned I would need a lead inspection and that he would be back to me "in a week or so" with an estimate. 10 days later, I sent a note asking how the bid was coming along and if he needed any addition information from me. No reply. It is now 2 weeks later and still no reply. I sent him a note this morning to confirm that we were taking his non-communication as "a non-interest in the project" and thanked him for his time. I will say that he mentioned 2 items of untruth while at the house: 1. That we would need a lead inspection which is non-factual 2. That he would not be able to get an insulator out to the house for less than $1200. We have moved forward with the insulation and it is half that much from an A+ Angie's List company.

 + -1 moreThe estimate was fine but I went with somebody else. I got a bit better price and I liked the other guy more. He did come when he was supposed to and actually gave me a real estimate. I don't know if I would contact him again.

 + 0 moreDave did an excellent job from start to finish. From the very beginning, Dave was responsive and creative. He listened to what we wanted to accomplish, and he collaborated in developing the final design. He worked diligently, and he delivered the completed project on time. The quality of his work was excellent. He enhanced our idea and made the final product better than we originally envisioned. Throughout the project, Dave was reliable and conscientious. I would unhesitatingly work with him again.

 + -1 moreMet with David Barco to review and bid a remodeling job. He was told beforehand that the job was going to be competitively bid. He had no ideas at all when he reviewed the project with us. Before he left, he asked who his competition was because and quot;he knew several of the guys out thereand quot;. I thought that he was totally out of line to ask that kind of question. Kind of gutsy and pretentious. Of course, he never received that info. Dave did submit a bid via email and he was extremely high. Not even in the ballpark. Wasn't impressed.
Description of Work: Did not use him for the job.
