Mr. King came by and gave us an estimate in August. The work was completed in December. The slabs on the patio were poured on two different days from different batches of concrete. The slab that was poured on the second day is a much darker gray color compared to the other three slabs. Our patio looks very strange. It has bleached out some with sunshine and warmer weather, but there is still a noticeable difference. We also notice that a crack in the concrete has developed in one of the front walkways. We have called Mr. King at least once a month since January. Some calls have been returned, others have not. We understand that he has been working out-of-town over the winter. We are hoping that he can resolve our problems.
Description of Work: B K Construction replaced concrete for new front steps, new sidewalk in front and to the side driveway, a new patio, and new basement steps.

Mr. King has been working out of town from January through mid May. We have returned numerous calls each month to the member and each time we had asked her to wait for warmer weather to bleach out the concrete. I explained the winter weather and rain would not do it. The weather would need to be much warmer and for a period of time. It was not until this month that we had a couple of days with weather at least 80 degrees. I had spoken with her and she stated that it is starting to bleach out with the warmer weather. I explained that sometimes it takes several months of warm weather to work and that we would stay in touch to make sure she is satisfied. Or workmanship is what we guarantee and that was completed to her satisfaction when our job was completed. I explained we would have the concrete company owner come out and talk with her if she would like and she declined. We told her that we can not guarantee the material because we just purchase it from the concrete company and that is why we offered to have the owner speak with her if need be. She stated she would wait until warmer weather has had a chance to lighten the concrete.

They did the job in a very timely matter, which I am very pleased with. We called and they started on the date and time that they stated. The job was done in one day and they cleaned up very nicely. Although, they had to cover the steps with plastic due to rain, it stripped the steps. After several phone calls, they have yet to come and fix the problem.
