Aul construction

We were told prior to closing that the work we requested had been completed. After moving in, tub was not used immediately, as it also needed new caulk. While doing the caulking, we ran a trickle of water to moisten a towel to clean up excess caulk. This trickle resulted in puddle on the basement floor. We contacted our realtor, who contacted the seller's other realtor. The seller's realtor called to say that Aul Construction insisted they had fixed the leak, but she did give me the telephone number of Aul Construction. I did call the owner of Aul Construction to ask what exactly he had done toward repair, so that this could be communicated to plumber we would hire to fix the leak. He informed me that I needed "all new plumbing." However, he could not tell me what he had done. ("Lady, do you know how many jobs I do?") He insisted he had made all needed repairs, because he had checked them off the punch list, but persisted in telling me that he had no idea what he had done. When I raised his description on Angie's List ("do the job right the first time," "100% satisfaction"), he told me I couldn't write a review of him on Angie's List because I didn't hire him and stated that if I slandered him, he would "sue the h*** out of you - and I know the law and you know s***." He then hung up on me.
