Services we offer
Local and long distance (in the state of Missouri ONLY). Completely wrap upholstered furniture and blanket wrap wood to prevent scratches and rubbing. Piano moving.
Overall, I liked the service and would use again. The GPS wasn't working so the driver was a little late, but he was very nice and apologetic and did the job well.

Experience was great! The At Your Service Moving crew was efficient, fast, and professional. Cut our moving time from a projected 6+ hours to 4 hours and saved us money. The day was bitterly cold, but the crew muscled through.

The crew was really, really good. There was very little damage done to the walls and none to my possessions (that I have discovered, anyway!). What damage was done, they agreed to repair. I really enjoyed having their help, at a reasonable price!

It was amazing! I hired 3 movers, Clint, Larry, and Tony and they were all rock stars!! My husband, myself, my brother-in-law, and our boys helped take a bunch of the smaller items so that the movers could really concentrate on getting the big stuff out of the old house, onto the truck, and then reverse that into the new house. It was ridiculously hot outside (99 without the heat index), but I swear I only saw them take 1 break the whole day! They moved us out and in in just under 4 hours (from 2 story split level home into a 2 story with basement house), they worked hard and they worked quick!! They were quick to acknowledge any chips on furniture, it was all there prior to them handling it, but I appreciated them pointing it out :) I would hire them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone needing a mover! Their prices are fair, (trust me, I called everybody for pricing), their movers work hard, and they do quick work!

We moved from Maryland Heights to St. Charles on August 5. Our At Your Service crew, consisting of John (chief), Jason, Ken and (Little) Mike, showed up exactly when scheduled, introducing themselves personally with their name and a handshake, and after a tour of the job went at it with speed, attention to the finest details and a kind of proprietorship over each item that to merely say "impressed us" is an understatement. The crew chief, John, worked as hard as any of the others, and shared his experience and wisdom with the younger guys -- not that they needed that much guidance, actually -- and Jason was always ready with an explanation and reassurance to us about how things were going. Ken and Mike -- we learned Mike is called "Little" Mike because his dad, "Big" Mike, wasn't available that day -- were absolute dynamos. The guys were friendly and pleasant and, to be absolutely honest, as the day went on and we got into unloading at the new address, Laura and I both kind of regretted that they'd be going: it was a fun, pleasant, enjoyable day. Laura works for a corporate office and sometimes needs moving services for offices and different locations -- she observed later that this At Your Serivce crew (John, Jason, Ken and Mike) were the best moving crew she's ever used, and definitely plans to contact the company and request these same gentlemen for any possible future use. These guys are the best and we were beyond happy to not only have them move our stuff, but simply to get to meet and spend the day with them. Excellent, excellent representatives of At Your Service Moving!

They did an excellent job. Two items were lost during the process, and they offered a very fair replacement value, which I accepted. |I met with Wes, and he viewed everything that needed to be moved and gave a price. He promised that they would move everything for that price. They ended up having to use two trucks to move everything, which they did not expect, but the price did not increase. I am very satisfied with them.

Description of Work: They arrived on time. They were fast. Items were not wrapped and some were damaged in the move. The company charges for boxes but they are using odds and end boxes they have picked up somewhere. When they left, they tried to charge me for an extra hour of time. They left and then came back and asked for the extra hour again and I said no. They left for a "quick drink" and were gone nearly 45 minutes. They accomplished the task but felt service was below par and I paid them for the amount of time they worked. I'm sorry, but that is my honest evaluation.

Response from At Your Service Moving
[removed members name] complaints are numerous, so we address them individually: 1) Customer: “Items were not wrapped and some were damaged in the move.” Company: We voluntarily compensate customers for damage reported. The customer reported no damage. We sent a follow-up email to the customer. [removed members name] made no reference to damage in his response. The first time that we heard of any damages was when we saw this complaint. We have offered settlement to the customer after reading this review, but the customer has not replied. 2) Customer: “The company charges for boxes but they are using odds and end boxes they have picked up somewhere.” Company: The total charge for materials was $95.50. Of that, $32.00 was for used boxes. 3) Customer: “When they left, they tried to charge me for an extra hour of time. They left and then came back and asked for the extra hour again and I said no. They left for a "quick drink" and were gone nearly 45 minutes.” Company: We don’t fully understand the complaint, but the customer seems to be alleging that our movers attempted to collect for time spent on breaks. Our records indicate that the move started at 9:00 a.m. and was completed by 12:15 p.m., and it sounds as though the customer paid for the time spent working. We apologize if our movers attempted to collect for time spent on breaks. 4) Customer: “They accomplished the task but felt service was below par and I paid them for the amount of time they worked.” Company: We regret that the customer feels the service was below par. The two movers routinely work as a team, and satisfy our customers with extremely few exceptions. To reiterate, we have offered to settle with the customer, but have not heard back.

When I first called At Your Service Movers I was impressed with the information, price, and easy process for getting an estimate. The owner, Wes, was friendly and very informative. We spoke a few times before our move and each time changes to our move were easily handled. We were scheduled for two trucks and 4 guys. The day of the move only 3 guys showed up. The movers were friendly and worked hard. One truck was loaded with furniture to go to our storage unit and the other was loaded with furniture for our rental house. The first and second floors of our house were loaded with care and special furniture was wrapped. Except for one mover trying to move an antique dresser on his own (which I had instructed them to please take extra care in handling) I was pleased with how they handled our furniture. At my request he asked another mover to help him move the dresser.. Some items were left in the basement, but that is partly my fault. Once I told the guys what needed to be loaded I did not go back and double check their work before leaving . i assumed once I told them what needed to be moved it would be take care of. At the storage unit the movers unloaded the truck. I noticed then that one of our dining room chairs had a very large and long scratch down one of the legs. I talked to one of the movers about this and was told they would make a note of it. After loading the storage unit the movers took the second truck to our rental house. Items were unloaded without any damage to furniture, but there was damage to some walls. (bedroom wall and stairwell wall.) By the time movers were nearing the end of the move they were not taking as much care with items and were just stacking items in the garage. When the movers were done and it was time to pay I was told they could not take a credit card. I told him I didn't have another way to pay him, so he called his boss (Wes). At this point I can only tell you the side of the conversation I heard while in the room while he spoke to his boss. He informed his boss that I had a credit card and that he did not have a way to charge my card. He was then told to tell me that they take cash or check and do not take credit cards without adding an additinoal charge. Then he was hung up on by his boss. I asked him to please call his boss back and that I would like to talk to him. While on the phone with Wes I told him that I was not told of the additional credit card fee nor that I could not pay by credit card. He told me that it was on their website (which I never visited) . He then said "well if thats your story." Now I was VERY offended, so when he told me that "one of us is going to be unhappy here " I told him that it wasn't going to be me. Then he hung up on me. In the end they wrote my credit card information down and then someone from the office called me on Monday to authorize payment. After the move I called the office and spoke with a very friendly lady. Sorry I do not remember her name. She was aware of the scratch on the dining room chair as well as the marks on the wall. Since the dining room chair was placed in storage they said that when we move again in November to call them and they will repair it. They sent a guy over a few weeks after moving and he repaired all damage to walls. In the end I think that if there had been 4 guys the movers would not have been to tired. I also feel that payment should be explained up front. If I would have been informed of them before the move I would have made arrangements to pay with cash or check. I would give the movers an "A" grade on professionalism, but the owner recieves an "F." UPDATE I revieved a call from the Office Manager and the owner this week (9/30) to apologize and clear up any misunderstandings. As I stated in my first review, I realize that there are some things that were my resposibility during the day of the move and I also acknowledge that there were some misunderstandings that occured. I appreciate that I recieved an apology call from the company, however this was my experience with this company and I still stand by my personal opinion. In my personal experience with this company I felt the owner lacked the professionalism needed to earn a high review. Angie's list is here for customers to share the good and the bad of their experience. Unfortunately this time we had a little of both. Also, my husband and I went back and re-rated this company, again using the Angie's List scale.

Our movers, Mike and Jay, arrived on time at our old residence. They worked hard the entire time they were loading us up. I believe they had our house packed up in about 5 hours time with a lunch break in between. The next day, they again arrived on time and worked hard moving in all of our furniture. It was extremely hot and I know they were working hard. My only complaint is that after the move, I did notice some minor damage to some of our furniture. It was mostly scuff marks from furniture rubbing against furniture in the truck. I am guessing they could have used more blankets to pad the bigger pieces so that would not have happened. I also had all of our boxes marked, and some were delivered to the wrong place. This was kind of irritating bc you pay to have them put them where you marked them to go, instead I ended up having to lug some of the boxes to the correct floor. All in all, I would classify it as a good move. I realize that no movers are perfect and minor things are probably going to happen to some pieces of furniture during a big move like ours. They were all very professional and nice to work with throughout the entire process.

We appreciate the favorable review from this customer. In reference to the minor damage, when I made my routine follow-up call to find out how the move went, the customer said it was “Great”. The customer never reported any damage (rubbing) or boxes being placed in the wrong locations. Thank you for the favorable review.

The movers were friendly, knew each other (as opposed to being random guys off the street who just threw on a company T-shirt), and seemed to enjoy working as a team. They were strong enough to lift everything. Overall, they did a great job with the move. One caveat: The "replacement value" warranty for damaged items requires you to report the damage on the day of the move.

I had to actually wait a few months to be calm enough to even write this review. I received advertisement in the mail from At Your Service Moving, and read the reviews on Angie's List that were all positive. I called this company (in addition to 2 others), and their price was the most expensive. However, I have some heavy furniture, and the owner, Wes, was very professional on the phone explaining that they refund fair market value for any damage, etc. So, I was confident that I picked the right moving company. Wes emailed me a contract, and I signed the contract stating that there would be 2 trucks and 4 men, arriving at my house between 8 and 9 a.m. on the day of the move. I confirmed by phone that the contract was received. At 9:15 a.m. on the day of the move, they had not yet arrived. So, I called to check on their whereabouts. At this point, Wes told me that he must have misplaced my paperwork for no good reason. He only had one truck left (sent the other three on other moving jobs) and himself. I had to be out of the house by 4:00 p.m., so I asked him what he was going to do to fix this. He assured me that he would get another truck and three men and be over by 11:00 to start moving. The first guy arrived at 12:30, IN A UHAUL he was asked to rent. He was not a full time mover, and had been told not to start moving anything until Wes arrived. That was about 12:45 p.m. By now, I have taken two carloads myself, and tried to remain positive. He did have one of his full-time staff come to the job, though he was supposed to be on a vacation day. And, he had two temps that I am unsure of where he got them... He assured me that we would be out on time. It didn't look good. At 3:30 p.m., the person moving into my house arrived with her truck. She made an agreement with Wes that he would pay her movers for every hour they were late getting my stuff out of the house, apparently. So, Wes instructed everyone to start hauling stuff out and just put it in the yard so that her movers could get in on time. Everyone was rushed, my furniture was taking a beating, and the time of my move (they are paid hourly) was getting longer and longer, because now they had to move it to the lawn, and then move it again to a truck. In the end, everything was out of the house by 4:15 and her movers started moving things in by 4:20. My husband was working, and I was working - hardly the stress-free move I was promised. We finally made it to the new house around 6:30 p.m. (They had to stop to eat.) The boxes were all labeled with where they should go, but I was also telling them as they walked off the truck. I was also folding their moving pads in an effort to speed it along. Apparently all that instruction was ignored, because I found kitchen boxes in the bedroom, basement, and garage. I found basement boxes in the upstairs, etc. I was moving boxes myself for weeks after the move was over. At around 10:00 that night, the trucks were finally empty. And, I told him that I wanted to look at everything before I paid him. He wouldn't leave without payment, and presented a bill about $800 more than the quote (including UHAUL rental, extra guys, etc.). I was livid. Eventually, I just wanted him to get out of my house, so I ended up paying him about $100 more than the quote and we agreed that he would eat the extra costs he incurred due to his own errors. Never did he apologize. Never did he offer to make it right by discounting the work due to his error and the stress it caused me. He was really quite smug about the whole thing, and I've never seen such poor customer service. The next day, I got to see the real damage. My perfect hardwood floors are scratched. My refrigerator is dented. The leg on my NEW couch is broken. Both armoires in two different bedrooms are completely scratched and dented. WHAT A MESS!!! And, THEN, he has the nerve to call me and leave a message saying that the buyer of my old house wants to be compensated and he'd like me to take care of it!!!! I couldn't even speak to him. It was extremely unprofessional, and my real estate agent is still taking calls from that woman asking to be compensated for her mover's time. I've never been so disappointed, frustrated, and upset with a service provider. And, that's bad news for him, because we are very loyal customers and huge on giving word-of-mouth recommendations. This is just one review of his "service" I will write. *The one positive thing I do have to say is that when his regular movers arrived, they were very helpful. All the men were really working hard and doing their very best to make the best of the situation. They expressed regret for our situation, and legitimately were trying to help. Great staff, horrible management!

I called Friday afternoon. Wes said that they had a move in Sunset Hills and they would stop on their way back. My house is not far from the business. When I asked when they would arrive he couldn't give me an answer. I gave him my home phone and my cell phone. He said that he would call around 10AM the next day to give me an approximate time. He never called. I was just getting out of the shower when the movers showed up. Luckily they called my cell phone and I was able to tell them that I was home and to wait while I got dressed. My cabinet got moved so it all worked out.
Description of Work: The movers moved a computer cabinet from the upstairs to the downstairs. They were here maybe 10 minutes. There were 3 men. 2 did the work and the third made sure that doors were open and everything was out of the way.

All-in-all it went well. It was the first time that I hired a mover so I did not know what to expect. Wes, the contact person, was nice and informative. The move went well. At times I felt that the movers (two people for the move) were not moving as quickly as I thought they could (or should), especially since I was paying by the hour. However, nothing was broken and the move went off without any major issues.

The experienced crew proved they really knew what they were doing. We closed on both properties and moved the same day, so we really appreciated the precision manner in which the men worked, leaving clean walls and damage-free floors in their wake. Each piece of furniture was handled with care as they worked each dresser, a walnut desk, and bed frames down a winding staircase from the second floor of our previous home. While setting up our current home, Derek even offered suggestions in protecting our wood floors beyond moving day. All furniture and boxed contents arrived to our new location damage-free. Overall, the At Your Service movers were efficient, friendly, on-bid and worked throughout the day to make sure they met our expectations. I definitely recommend Wes and his crew for your next move.

We have At your service come out and pack us one day, and move us the next. The packers did a great job, and worked hard the entire day. On move day, we hired 2 trucks and 6 people, and they started working hard from the beginning. The started at about 8:30 in the morning and didn't quit until 10:15 that night. Out of everything moved, which is a lot, there was less then $100 is damage done. They put together pieces of furniture we asked them to, and made sure we were happy before they left. Customer service was top notch, and each of them care about the move. Anything that is broken, they are responsible to pay for a part of it. This makes sure everything is moved with extreme care. Hopefully we never move again, but if we do, I would use At Your Service again.
Description of Work: Packed and moved us from one house to another. The estimate process was a little different then I have seen before, but I liked the honesty, and straight forwardness. Basically Wes does not come out to your house and count up your belonging. You give him the approx square foot of your house and we give you a number. He looks at it and says, you are going to pay the amount it takes to move your stuff, it doesn't matter what the estimate is, if it takes 4 hours longer then the estimate, then you will pay that. This is true with all local moving companies, even the big boys. I just liked how he did business.

I talked to Wes on the phone to get a quote. While other companies came out to look at what we had in order to get an estimate on how long it would take, Wes told me to call him with their estimates and he would tell us how much it would cost with his company. I was a little taken aback by this. He also did a follow up call to inform me on some of the benefits of using his company and sent me some references in the mail.
