Prompt, professional. Great to deal with. Found a couple of exposed rusted nails at the edge of some shingles which he removed and placed some sealer at no charge. Showed me some pictures of the roof and the problem. Did not find any overt defects and we have taken a wait and see approach to see if the leak appears again.

The crew did a very good job. Good quality work. The crew was efficient and paid attention to our concerns. They did the necessary step flashing where needed and a good job of caulking. They cleaned up after they were done. The gutters were done about a week later. Sarah did a great job of keeping us informed about the schedule and providing us with samples to choose the color we wanted. Russell also provided the quote quickly and did a good job of answering our questions and helping us to work with the insurance company. No complaints. We would use them again and recommend them to family and friends. Side note: no leaks found following the heavy rains in December. Which is not true for several of our neighbors that also had their roofs replaced this year at about the same time.

Initial contact and quote discussion were great. Everything documented on the contract was what we discussed. I look forward to working with John and his team to get a new roof on my home. I'll share more about my experience once the work is complete.

Contractor selected from Angie's List. Prompt response and follow-up for color selection of shingles and installation date. Received phone call confirming installation date and date of shingle delivery. Delivery as promised with installation the following day. Crew arrived promptly at 7:00 am on the day of installation and worked steadily throughout the day with the exception of the lunch break. It was a polite, hardworking crew willing to answer any and all questions. Tarps were placed around the entire house and clean-up was exceptional. Installation was successfully completed in one day. A follow-up inspection was made to double check the work. No problems found. A hard copy of the final paid invoice and lien waiver was received within three days of the completion of the work. I was very pleased with the entire experience with Andres Roofing and their people. My only surprise was in not receiving the $300.00 discount on jobs over $3000.00 as advertised in the Andre's Listing add. They are an excellent company. Russ Youngstrom gave the bid and followed up on the work. He is pleasant, honest, highly skilled and knows what he is talking about. The workers on the crew have been with the company a long time and were efficient. We are very pleased with the work and the way everything was handled from the original bid to the final cleanup.

Prompt, professional and did a great job cleaning up

We had a leak around our skylight an phoned Andres roofing for estimate. We left voice mail late Tuesday afternoon. The next day Sarah returned the call and set up Thursday for the appointment. Russ showed up in the established time frame and found some nails that were exposed probably causing the leak. He applied caulking around the nails to stop the leak free of charge. We agreed to monitor the area and if the leak continued he would come back for further assessment. Both Sarah and Russ were very professional and courteous. If the caulking does the trick Andres Roofing saved us the expense of a larger repair. I'd definitely would call them again and would recommend them to anyone with a roofing problem.

John Andres called on me and my neighbor, explained the hail damage to roof and gutters, reviewed the insurance quote and details and finished the roofing in one day and new oversized gutters and downspouts shortly thereafter. Mr. Andres' approach is personal, straightforward and efficient. We are an older couple and Mr. Andres is very familiar with "insurance talk" and insurance companies' expectations and reimbursement details.

I couldn't be more pleased than I was with Andres Roofing Company. Jon is very professional and a pleasure to work with. His wife, Sara does his office work and is quite nice and efficient. Jon came out in the fall to give us an estimate. We weren't able to have it done at that time, but we did call him back in May to complete the job. Another very well known company, also gave us an estimate, and called us back in January to tell us that their prices were going up up in February.. I was very pleased when Jon told us that his prices had not gone up. We had a large job which involved replacing all of the wood under the shingles. His pricing was extremely fair! We also appreciated that although he was really busy, Jon fit us in promptly, since we were having water leakage problems. His excellent crew efficiently finished the job and cleaned up well in one day. After completion, Jon thoroughly checked everything and found a couple of very minor things that required attention. My roof looks great and I would highly recommend this company!!!

I was thoroughly impressed with everything. I originally had leaks between my roof and my back porch. I hired 3 different contractors in the past to repair it but it always kept leaking. I hired Andres roofing for a new roof because our walls were leaking water whenever it rained. Now when it rains, there is no leak at all anywhere! Not a drop between my house and my back porch. The also did the whole job in about 1 and 1/2 days which is great too since replacing a roof is noisy work.

The staff were fine and didn't interact with them much. The works were very prompt. The neighbors were amazed how quickly they completed the job. This business is local and this is the second time we have used them. They are honest and do quality work.

Excellant service. Jon Andres gave me an estimate within a few days of my call. His wife Sara scheduled all the work with me and dropped off samples. The work was outstanding. This company is top notch. If you need a roof you really do not need a second opinion just go with Andres Roofing . Highly recommend.

John was very responsive from the beginning. We needed to see several samples, then wanted to see several houses in the St Louis area with similar roofs. He helped us by getting the samples delivered to our door, and multiple addresses to drive by, along with references to speak with. Once the project started the men were on time, respectful and efficient. Weather held up the project a little, but the tarps were placed well and it did not cause any problems for us. There were a couple minor problems that were discovered by the roofing team or John before we saw them. A solution was immediately proposed so that in the end neither were problems at all. The finished project looks terrific. The yard was cleaned up well. My only correction would be towards the very end the tarps over our plants were not always in place. A couple of neighbors have come up to inquire about our roofer.

We can't say enough good things about Andres Roofing! Among top reviewed roofers, they came in with the best price, in part because they included in their base price the ice shield which was an up charge for some. Despite the fact that I was sure they'd be behind schedule because of a run of nasty weather, they showed up as promised and worked literally from dawn to dark, then came back the next day to finish up flashing and final clean-up. John was on site throughout most of the day to make sure everything was progressing as planned and came back twice for initial and final inspections. Throughout the process, John and his wife Sarah answered all our questions, provided excellent advice, were super responsive and were a joy to work with. They're truly a great, hardworking couple and just plan nice!

The work went very well and the roof looks great! Russel was easy to work with while getting estimates and adjusting the quote (we wanted to close some turtle vents that they were going to replace, and we used a higher quality shingle than the original quote). The job was postponed due to weather, but communication about the postponement was timely and very understandable (it was raining quite a bit). In addition, Sarah did an exceptional job of getting roofing samples and location addresses for us to see the different colors and types of shingles we were considering. They completed our ranch home in just over a day and cleaned up very well. I highly recommend the company!

Excellent. Got estimates from five roofing companies, including Andres. Andres' price was the best and included an Angie's List coupon. But what most impressed was: 1) Professionalism, punctuality and good nature throughout. 2) Willingness to go the extra mile - worked with me to find just the right color/texture of shingle (which was a task, I admit) but they were very accommodating with samples and addresses of homes with different shingles they'd installed so we could see the end-product, even accompanied me to view a couple of them. 3) Honesty about what was really needed and thorough explanations about installation, products, warranties. 4) Timeliness - had to get the roof replaced quickly for insurance reasons, and they got it done well before deadline. It was down to Andres and another local company, which was also a strong contender on all of the above. Price won out. The process was smooth, they were very helpful, they cleaned up well, and the finished product is very good. Highly recommend.

I contacted Andres last year along with a couple other roofing companies to get an estimate. Their's came in the lowest for the highly reputable companies on Angie's List. Unfortunately we couldn't afford it last year, but contacted Andres again this spring. They honored last year's priced and we signed a contract to move forward. With all the spring rain it wasn't done until late May, but once they came they knocked it out in one day. They were very professional too protecting all of our plants / bushes and used magnets to ensure all nails were picked up. They also brought a dumpster instead of using a dump truck. I have moles and saw another customer complain about heavy dump trucks damaging driveways, but they were open to the dumpster even though I think it cost them more to do the job. After the install the owner John also came out and got on the roof to do an inspection and answer any questions we had. He spent a lot of time with us and on our roof ensuring we were 100% satisfied. The roof looks 100% better and makes the home look much newer than it's 40 years. For the guttering, Andres contracted this out to another company. It was a week or two later than the roof install. They also did a good job, removing the old guttering, putting up seamless guttering and moving downspout including making good recommendations for downspout locations One comment here, they arrived late the day they came and were working well past dark. I wasn't confident they could see well enough to finish the job properly. They did stop and come back the next day to finish and the job looks high quality too. I would highly recommend Andres. Their combination of quality and price couldn't be beat for the top roofing companies I talked to.

A very small number of shingle scraps were left, but no problem, and we haven't found any nails in the lawn or shrubbery. For the most part, well-cleaned-up. Not perfect, but close. With the new venting system the roof's appearance is much improved. I'd be happy to use Andres again.

They had to do a lot of work. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned everything up and did a great job.

They were fabulous. I highly recommend them. The owners professional concern was better then any other roofing company I spoke with. He seemed genuinely concerned with doing a good job. He was very knowledgable.

They were one of three contractors we consulted in late October 2013 for a replacing the roof (all highly rated on Angie's List). Price wise they were in the middle of the pack. They were willing to wait to install the roof until the weather improved. I thought their work was excellent (clean-up was ok, could have been better). They used some of the extra shingles to add a layer of shingles to a yard-shed without extra charges, a real bonus.

I took quotes from two of three contacted roofers. Andres was fastest responding and mailing contract. They had a 7 day limit on free estimate/contract. They kindly waived this because I took much more than 7 days making my decision. Andres was very good about estimated start date of project;, and when weather and other projects took longer, they were very responsive and communicated these things quickly and efficiently.They had big dump truck where they threw the trash. There was a huge amount of trash! But they cleaned up very well. They even had a metal detector to find all the nails around the house. We thought we would get regular shingles because the certain teed brand architectural ones where a little more pricey. but Andres talked us into the thicker shingles. I think it was a good decision. The house is much warmer this winter and it been so cold; I'm sure it's the better insulation provided by the better singles. The roof looked good but a little bumpy when all done. Judging by my next door neighbor's new roof with architectural shingles, these will flatten out with time. It's been mostly covered by snow since it was done. We have a very low angle roof (rancher style house). I think that helps when pricing job b/c it's much easier to install. But then there is more square footage involved too. We paid $500 deposit and total price including deposit was $12,500. They did allow us to use an Angie's coupon which lowered things 10%. The coupon was not available when we got the quote but had appeared after job was done. So again they were very kind to us. It only took 2 days, when they thought it might be 3. The foreman was friendly and kept us in the loop about aspects of the job. They did get there at 6:45 am and blocked our garage all day long. They were more than happy to move the trucks but then they had to run metal detector for misc. nails. If I would do it again I would leave my car parked in the street. The driveway took a beating from the big heavy trucks. Our mole problem was mostly to blame for that damage I think. (mole tunnels caved and aspahalt crumbled) I would use them again in a heart beat.

Andres Roofing was a pleasure to work with and use. After doing research on Angies List and getting estimates from several other roofers, I selected Andres Roofing. My factors I used in selecting Andres included years of experience in the business, the general reputation of the company as indicated on Angies List from other individuals that used Andres, the accuracy and timeliness that John and his wife demonstrated during the bidding process to answer all questions that I had accurately and in a timely fashion, and their competitive and reasonable pricing. During the bidding process, John and Sarah demonstrated a great deal of patience in answering all my questions, even when I had several follow up questions and moreover, answered them in a timely fashion. I never waited for prolonged periods of time for either of them to answer any questions. The contract that John originally wrote was very well written. It was detailed, accurate, and completely spelled out everything that was going to be done. I decided to go with the Certainteed architectural shingle. Other contracts I had received during the bidding process were not as well written and clear. Since I contracted with them late in the fall season and since there were several other customers ahead of me, I ended up waiting until late December 2013 until the actual job was started. When the weather in late December began to warm up, John contacted me about 4 days before the start of the job indicating when he wanted to start. On the first day of the job, the crew arrived on time and immediately began removing the old shingles and carefully disconnected my satellite dish. Through the two days of the job, the crew worked diligently and was thorough in each step of the job including the old shingle removal, installation of new felt paper, and the installation of the new shingles. I checked up on them from time to time and when I had any questions, the foreman on the job, Ron, was very courteous in answering all of my questions. They used a dump truck to haul away the old shingles. Prior to that, they were very careful in maneuvering the dump truck on my driveway. The put some thick plywood boards down on my grass to reduce the impact of the truck on my grass on the sides of my driveway. The crew also put tarps down on both my driveway and on my shrubs to protect them from any falling debris. They also reconnected my satellite dish back up but I still ended up having to contact my satellite provider to make some adjustments on it to receive a good signal I originally had. John indicated that this might happen so I was not surprised by this. At the end of the first day, the crew had installed the new shingles on the back side of my roof and they looked great. Prior to installing any new shingles, the crew identified a few places on the front slope of the roof where some of the plywood boards needed to be replaced as they were too soft. Ron identified these spots and reported them to me prior to replacing anything. He indicated what had to be replaced and why. The crew identified 3 boards that needed to be replaced. The job took two days to complete but after each day, the crew was extremely thorough in cleaning up after themselves. Each day, they ran magnets over the driveway and property making sure they removed any loose nails and removed their dump truck from my driveway. The also picked up any other loose debris. At the end of the second day, they had completed the job and the new singles looked great. The crew was very thorough and did not miss any spots at all. All of the singles were well secured and well fitted. Again, as on the first day, the crew was extremely thorough in the clean up job. They swept up all loose debris, ran magnets over the property and driveway for loose nails, and used a blower for anything else that remained. Ron also cleaned out my gutters on the end of the second day with a water hose to ensure that no loose debris clogged up my gutters. By the time the crew finished the job, there was absolutely no loose debris and no indication that they were ever on my property. In summary, I would definitely recommend Andres Roofing to someone else for their courteousness, quality of work, professionalism, and reasonable and competitive pricing.
