Excellent. They were on time, very professional, took great care with our furniture and were very fast.

I called several of the top rated movers on Angies list. I spoke to Mike Winkler at Anchor Moving. He was very straight forward & easy to work with. The two men came right when he said they would. They were very polite & professional. When we asked them to move the furniture to different spots, they were happy to oblige. I would definitely use them again. And recommend them highly.

Anchor Moving's 3 man crew arrived on time with a larger than expected truck (which ended up being a good thing, as I guess I had more stuff than I realized). They worked quickly, carefully, and diligently, and completed the job within the estimated time and on budget. They made sure to discuss with me any potential problems prior to moving certain pieces, but we did not have any problems. I am mostly unpacked and I have not yet found any broken or damaged items, nor damage to my new home. They were careful with my grandmother's piano, too. Overall, I was quite pleased. I have not moved before, but my friends who were there to help (one of whom is in the military and has moved around his entire life) said they were very good movers.

They moved me from my old house to my new one. They were extremely flexible as I had two closings. These guys were awesome, showed up on time, were efficient, and professional. I also liked that they try to keep adding on charges like some other movers tried to do. They have my highest recommendation, and I don't normally right these reviews.

Anchor Moving came to our storage units, I had 5 -10x50;s FULL and followed my loading instructions so everything would unload by category. They brought 3 trucks and 6 men, it was COLD (3° F and Snowing) and they had 3 trucks loaded in 2.5 hrs. That emptied 1.5 units for me - I was hoping for more, but the trucks were full. They arrived at the house and unloaded into a walkout basement and through the front and back doors, putting things where I asked them to. One heavy item we had to change locations for 3 times, making them have to carry it up and down the basement stairs 6 times! - They never complained, ( to me) but actually laughed and made it fun. They were cold, wet and miserable, but never tracked anything into the house that they did not clean up. I am NOT easily impressed, but these guys went over the top to make it fast and fun. Just wish I could have emptied more storage units. I have had three major back surgeries and cannot lift anything right now, so anytime I looked like I was going to carry something, one of them would run over and grab it from me, telling me - DONT LIFT ANYTHING, that's why we are here and then they would all give me a hard time and laugh - keep in mind, its snowing, raining, wind blowing and its only about 3 degrees outside!

They’re great. It was chaos at our house trying to get us to move because the roofer was still there working on the roof and he was blocking the driveway. So they worked around the blocked driveway. We had a lot of heavy furniture and a lot of books that they had to move and they did it. They did a good job. Their price was cheap, they gave us a really good deal. I interviewed with 3 other companies and they were way under the other companies. They were excellent. They had a very good idea. They didn’t need to come out and basically waste my time to find out what could be moved. Our neighbors across the street used them, too. I’ve told other people to use them as well. I actually had to make them stop to eat lunch.

Price was great out of all movers we called. But again, its a case of "get what you pay for." Yes they arrived on time...but boy did they move SLOW! Movers usually hustle - not the 2 that showed up at our house. Took them over 2 hours just to break down 2 bedrooms sets and move a couch and about 20 boxes. When I called to make the appt - guy said be 3 hrs total for the move. We barely got moved out of the apt in 3 hours! Once they got to new address, they moved alittle faster, but they damaged our dining room table cause even though we told them repeatedly need to take legs off to move it - they did not take all the legs off so was damaged getting in door. Said their boss call us to get it fixed. They cashed the check and we never heard from them again. They are nice guys, and cheap price. But very slow in moving. So get 3 guys if you are going with ANCHOR.

I am getting married in a few days, and we are combining households. We moved stuff from Point A, to Storage Point B, then went to Point C and loaded up and unloaded at Point A again. They were clean and professional in every respect. They were very careful with our things, and there was not one scratch on a wall, furniture, etc. They put a bunkbed apart and back together perfectly (unlike my previous moving experiences). They worked fast which saved me money. I expect to moving again, and we will be doing multiple points again. I ABSOLUTELY will use Anchor Moving Co again. I am a military brat, military spouse, and moved after military retirement. This was the best move I have ever experienced. That is saying a lot.

The two movers were on time & prepared. They listened to what I wanted done & did it in a very timely manner. I was very pleased.

Overall, my experience was great...from the get-go, Mike was responsive and got back to me with all of my questions and my multiple calls within a 24 hour period. The day of the move, the drivers were on time, all introduced themselves and got to work. It was such a hot and humid day, but they worked very diligently the entire time. There were a few concerns, like a few things got some scratches and they couldn't figure out how to get the baby bed back together, but all in all, they were upfront about the scratch and are taking care of it for me which I wholeheartedly appreciate and consider to be highly professional. The other concern was I had everything clearly labeled of where it should go but they kept asking my husband where to put things. But this was very very minor in the scope of everything. One of the movers was a little crabby, but the other two were delightful. I would absolutely recommend Anchor to other people (in fact, I have a friend moving in 3 weeks and I already told her about my experience). Their price couldn't be beat, and I didn't feel like they were dragging their feet. I felt like they hustled even though the heat was brutal.

Will definitely use again if needed. They work diligently. What I thought might take all day took only a few hours. Movers very pleasant.

This was our 2nd time working with Anchor Moving. Both times (first in 2007) were great! The crew members were very pleasant and professional, and worked without stopping for the duration of the move. The owner of the company was easy to work with in setting up our moving date, hours and crew members needed, and no problem moving on a Saturday during the holiday season! Both of our experiences with Anchor were nothing but positive. We have some very bulky and awkward furniture, as well as a million small odds and ends that needed to be moved. The crew members handled all of our items, big or small, with respect and care. Even when we were all exhausted at the end of a long day, the crew members had positive attitudes and were smiling. Their attitudes and hard work went a LONG way for us by making a very stressful process (moving) more enjoyable. We've recommended this company to family members and friends who, after working with Anchor, have had equally great experiences. For us, Anchor is our go-to local moving company.

I can't say enough good things about Anchor Moving - from start to finish they were professional and efficient.

Mike, the owner, was great to work with, and we had no problems getting the date we wanted. He offered two options - 3 movers and 1 truck or 4 movers with two trucks. We chose the two trucks, which was more per hour, but wanted to make sure we got all our stuff (we also had a storage unit to move). On the day of the move, everyone showed up at the arranged time, but only 3 movers with the two trucks rather than 4. We ended up getting the 3 mover price without having to ask for it, so that was great. The move went smoothly. Nothing major was broken or damaged. Maybe a plate, but that was probably due to poor packing on our part. No damage to walls or floors when moving things out of the old house or into the new house. Felt like we got great value, and would recommend Anchor to friends.

Anchor Moving was absolutely wonderful!! They moved my items out of storage and got me moved into my new apartment. The move took longer than expected; however, it was to no fault of theirs. A previous moving company (Two Men and Truck) practically threw my items in storage unit and before Anchor Moving could get going they had to access what was in the storage unit as that took a while. As they moved items out of storage, they advised me of items that were damaged, scratched and torn. I am very grateful for them advising me of the issues. Once they cleared out my storage unit, they were on their way and did a great job. I've told everyone about their excellent service, professionalism and the care they took when moving my items. One bad move, turned into a Great Move with Anchor Moving!!! They were very professional and I will definitely use them again!!! thanks again!!! Tamara

The movers were an hour late because of traffic. I purchased the furniture from Craig's List. The seller had plans and needed to leave. Fortunately, the housekeeper could stay until the movers arrived. They moved a china cabinet, hutch, sideboard, six chairs, a table and two leaves. Travel distance for the move was about 2 miles. Once they placed the dining room furniture, they moved a piano from the basement to the first floor. The whole move took less than 2 hours. I was miffed when I booked the move. I called for a quote and was told about a general charge/fee. Once we discussed what I wanted move, the gentlemen gave me a quote. I confirmed with the gentlemen that this was the TOTAL charge and he said yes. It wasn't. It was less the fee. I booked Anchor because of their reviews and lowest quote. Turns out Simple Moves had the lowest quote (and great reviews too). The men/movers were very nice and accommodating. They commented on tracking mud on my floor, but had nothing to protect my floors. I had to place tarp down myself. Overall, they were really good. They were able to move my piano without calling a third man. A third man would have increased the rate.

This move could not have gone better. The packing team showed up on Wednesday and was done quickly. They showed up to load on Thursday and were done by 2:30 which also included a second drop-off. They delivered on Friday and while we did have them put a number of items in the garage they completed everything timely. They were never reckless and always courteous. There is also zero dings on my walls or staircase railings.

I called Anchor Moving on Monday to get an estimate of the cost to move the shelves. I was given a straight forward hourly rate, with a 2 hour minimum. (1 hour for travel time.) I was told that the earliest date that I could have the shelves moved was Thursday of the same week. I grabbed that day with the agreement that the movers would arrive no earlier than 10 am. They arrived at 10:10 am. The movers brought the necessary equipment and delivered the shelves to my house in perfect condition. The job was completed within the 2 hour minimum. The movers who performed the move were courtious and professional.

I called Anchor for a moving estimate. They were the only company I called that didn't insist on doing an in-home estimate; instead, they quoted me an hourly rate and gave me a rule of thumb for how many hours to expect (one hour per five large furniture items and ten boxes). Their hourly rate was lower than others, and they had a solid AL rating, so I decided to use them. They were available the date I wanted, so I made the appointment for three movers/one truck to show up the following week. They showed up on time and got to work. After a short walk through so they could see everything to move, they started loading the truck. They do not wear fancy uniforms like some of the more well-known companies, but they were there to work so I was ok with that. They worked really quickly and got everything loaded and unloaded within the time I expected (or even a little faster). They were mostly very careful with my items - nothing arrived damaged although they did bump the door frames a few times on the way in or out. My only complaint was that they left a few small items at the old house - including the rails for our bed, so they couldn't put it together for us at the new house. They apologized and I didn't want to pay them to drive back and get them, so we just went back to get the items and put the bed back together ourselves. The movers were extremely polite all day and did an overall great job.

It was as smooth as moving can ever be! The only hangups were on my end, for not packing well enough and having so much junk!

Everything went fine and only one piece was broken. It was a very cheap cabinet and it probably would have broken if we had moved it too. Other than that they did a good job and did it a lot faster than they had estimated. Faster is good because it is cheaper. I will use them again in the future.
