Description of Work: They did a good job and arrived on time. Very careful with my belongings. My complaint was with price charge at the end of the move. At least $200 more than they estimated. I had not budgeted for this amount and my daughter had to pay it for me. In future, I would have the company actually come to my home to make the estimate.

Description of Work: Moved a full household of furniture and art, stored on trucks for a few days, delivered and set up furniture. One item was broken and repaired with quality outcome. Description of Work: When we first contacted All-star Movers they assured us of their white glove service and that all our mattresses would be bagged and floors covered to prevent soiling and damage. This was important and would never hire movers that didn't do this. When guys arrived the morning of the move, they told us they don't do those things and didn't know why the girl said they did. They don't have mattress bags or furniture pads to cover floors. So, I had to drop everything and drive all over town to find mattress bags to protect our mattresses! I also had to do my best to make sure my carpet and hardwood floors where not soiled/damaged moving from one home into the other with our own blankets and what not. Plus, I was shocked to see pint sized boy/men movers that came to load my belongings. What happened to the big strapping muscle bound guys? I was looking at Phrodo & Sam. Really? They were nice as can be but struggled with heavy large pieces and took longer than normal moving (paid hourly). In the end, I had damaged furniture tops (white pottery barn desk set) scratched and chipped beyond repair and the most disheartening of all, we found bed slats that were to be screwed down into the frame which were left off the very center and mattress put back on top with hollow center not supported. The remainder of slats were laying to side of frame not screwed in under the mattress. We only discovered this after a month of use, and needed to move the bed into another room. We were shocked to find we were sleeping on a hollow center because slats were not put back into place. I have pics to prove everything I'm saying here. We had a very stressful move and I only found this damage later because they stacked items on top of each other and we were too busy to notice until it was too late to file a claim or make a stink about it. I knew I would NEVER use these guys again! I felt they were priced on the high side to top it off. Also, some of these guys did not have any money to buy food on their lunch break and I felt they could not continue without food for energy so I bought the entire crew lunch, so they had enough strength to finish the job, they were struggling. What a stressful day! I will swear on a stack on bibles that everything is true and accurate.

+ -1 moreI contacted Mike about a week prior to our move after talking to three companies . Mike was in the middle of another move but answered the phone and requested to call me later that evening. He called me as promised, asked for specific information regarding my belongings, size of home etc. and gave me an estimate without going through much hassle (e.g. other companies requested me to fill out detailed forms). His quote was the best of all the other companies I had checked. I requested that I would confirm the exact dates a couple of days later and he was very accommodating. The team of 3 (per my request) showed up a few minutes early and after introducing themselves, got straight to work. I was very impressed with the professionalism and etiquette of each member of the team. They shrink wrapped several pieces of furniture and took excellent care of everything, including fragile items. The 20 foot truck they brought with them was very clean. Everything was very well organized in the truck. We were moving to a newly constructed home and per our request each member took special care not to bump into walls, scratch the floors etc. - each one reminding the other time and again to be careful. I thought that was very impressive! Everyone was happy to accommodate our last minute requests such as moving items to other rooms/floors as needed. The men completed the move in in very reasonable time and they hardly took any breaks (other than the drive to the destination). Overall I was very pleased with the service Matt's team offered and would recommend All Star Moving to anyone!!

+ -1 moreShowed up on time, 4 clean cut well mannered young men who never stopped moving. They were very happy to do what was asked and all in all it was a very pleasant experience. I would use them again in a second.
Description of Work: They moved my home - it took 4 men to load the truck once and go back for about a 20% load to finish. They moved everything from cartons to a fridge. No dings or damage that I saw.

+ 0 moreI called and we made arrangements. Unfortunately,I had an emergency and their prior job ran over so we had major communication problems. Not their fault, they did not have mycell phone number. After we finally connected, we made new arrangements and they were very helpful. The piano we moved was a large, old console studio style piece and very heavy. The four men did a fine job of protecting the piano and moved it into a first floor house. I would use them again to move my home goods.
Description of Work: I needed my daughter's piano moved and found All-Star Moving on Angie's list.

+ -1 moreThe loaders and Matt arrived on time and were very careful to wrap every piece of furniture so it would not get damaged, I was pleased with the care they took in wrapping the furniture. Matt built a special crate for a piece of granite and it arrived in perfect condition. Matt came to the house a few times to access what we owned and how it should be packed.
Description of Work: All-Star Moving loaded most of our entire home (4 bedrooms) onto 2 storage containes that would be stored for 4 months. They also loaded a 26' rental truck of our belongings that would be transported by us for 600 miles to our new home. The items that were on the 26' truck arrived in good condition; nothing broken! Matt's follow up was exceptional during the entire process of our move! He returned my calls promptly.

+ -1 moreMat was great with communication - he called me a few days before the move to confirm date and time. He even offered to send a third guy at no charge to help with the move. So, I was a little disappointed when only two guys showed up. But, Mat's guys showed up on time and ready to work. We had a 14' Uhaul trailer packed to the gills, and it took them about 2.5 hours to unload it and move everything into the house. We had a few heavy objects like oak dressers and an oak desk, and the movers handled them ok. They definitely could have used a 3rd guy in a few instances, though. Overall, I was happy with the move. There were a few minor dings left on some of the furniture, and a few minor scratches on our walls. The movers offered to return at a later date and repair the walls, but I declined since they were really minor scratches that were easily fixed in about an hour. So, the only reason I graded a B instead of an A is that there was some minor damage to the furniture and the walls. I would definitely use them again, but I would probably request to have three movers instead of two so that they could handle the furniture a little better.
Description of Work: Two guys unpacked a loaded 14' Uhaul truck and moved the contents into our 2-story house in St. Louis.

+ -1 moreThe company returned my call very quickly about an estimate, and was able to work with my schedule even though I called two days before I needed the credenza moved. On the morning of the move, Matt and his assistance arrived earlier, which is a first in all of my experiences with movers. They carefully wrapped the credenza in blankets and plastic wrap, and secured it in their truck. The person who sold me the credenza was also very impressed. They were very careful when moving and placing it inside my house. If I ever move within the St. Louis area again, I'll call this company first.
Description of Work: All-Star Moving moved a credenza for me from High Ridge to St. Louis, MO. Since it was just one item, they only charged me for delivery service.

+ 0 moreAll Star Moving was in charge of my recent move from St. Charles to O'Fallon. The owner, Mathew Heldenbrand, performed my estimate and was professional, courteous, and went over the moving process in detail. Arrangements were made a month in advance and he kept in contact via email and phone calls during that time. On moving day, he and his crew arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. as promised. Even though I was being charged by the hour, the crew worked faster than any movers I've had in the past and this is my 6th move. All my items were handled carefully and there were no damages. Mathew, the owner, worked just as hard as his crew did. A piano was included in the move and it was handled properly. The price they estimated was within $50 of the final bill and while the rate was being calculated hourly, I was given a maximum price so I didn't have to worry about not knowing just how many hours it would take and what the final cost might be. These were the best movers I've had at the most reasonable price and I would strongly encourage anyone to give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
