Worker showed up on time, quickly figured out the cause, had the replacement part in his van. He replaced it, whole visit was less than 30 minutes. Oven is working great!

Description of Work: They came to the house promptly as they said. The technician looked at our refrigerator and told us he needed to order a part. He told us it may take a while for the part to arrive. Although I had a coupon to pay no service call fee he insisted that he collect it now, and that that would be taken out of the cost of the repair. I have never heard from them since. I do not believe that it takes 5 months to receive a part. I believe they took the money, did nothing, and left.

Description of Work: It was several days to get an appointment primarily because they require a 4-hour window for the customer to be home, but they do have Saturday hours so it actually wasn't that hard to schedule. The technician called before coming and didn't waste any time repairing my washing machine. He replaced a faulty lid sensor on my washing machine. I am deducting a star because of the cost of the repair, $138, which seems twice what was warranted. The technician said the cost was about half parts and half labor, but these parts cost $5-$20 on Amazon. It took only 15-20 minutes to replace the part and check it. There was no time spent making the diagnosis as I told him what I thought the problem was and he immediately agreed (after examining the washer for about 15 seconds he grabbed a spare part from his truck), meaning they must charge about $300/hour for labor. He quoted the total cost of parts/labor before doing any work, which means the company has pre-determined to overcharge for this type of repair. I guess if you have a complicated washer where it takes 2 hours to replace the part that's a good deal for the customer, but my impression is that this is an easy repair for them (and something a more handy person could've done on their own). I still recommend them because of the quality of the work, but based on this it doesn't appear like they are a bargain. Also, this cost included the "free" trip charge as an Angie's List member, which in theory saved another $49.

Description of Work: The serviceman asked what the problem was, I explained that the dryer was making a metal against metal noise when running. He turned on the dryer to listen for the noise, then removed the front, found the roller to the drum was defective, went out to his truck to get the part needed, came back in quoted me $98.95, and replaced the old roller wheel with the new and was on his way in a matter of about 20 minutes.

Description of Work: I had requested service for a dishwasher that was not working. The serviceman (Jack) came out and spent about 20 minutes taking apart the door and testing the electrical parts. He then said that the "control panel" needed to be replaced and ksaid it would cost $258. Later that day I discovered that the breaker had been tripped and when I reset it the dishwaher worked perfectly. This can only mean that Jack was utterly incompetent (not to have checked the power supply) or he tried to bilk me for an un-needed repair.
