Description of Work: Michael recently installed mosaic tiles in two of our baths and we're going to have him back to do two more. He's friendly, flexible and can find creative solutions (essential in an old home where nothing is standard or square!).

 + -1 moreDuring demolition of old shower floor and removal of wall tile, discovered that origial work (done by another tile contractor) had not been done properly. (We suspected/knew the earlier contractor had done a poor job, which is why we contacted Accent Flooring.) The cement shower base had not been poured properly so that water on shower floor did not drain completely. Walls and floor had not been properly waterproofed. Causing wooden shower curb, wood floor under shower, and some wall studs to rot. Some tile in wet areas were set on drywall not cement board. Original work was poorly done. Accent Flooring replaced all damaged wood areas, built new curb, installed cement board as needed, waterproofed repaired areas, used a sucontractor to pour new cement base, installed tile on floor, curb and wall. Shower floor drains properly, repairs appear seamless to areas that did not need to be replace or repaired. Work took about one week from start of tear out to completion of tiling.
Description of Work: Replaced and repaired custom tile shower floor, curb, and part of wall (we had enough wall tile from original installation to cover area to be repaired and purchased new tile for curb and floor).

 + -1 moreRemoved existing tile floor and plywood underlayment. Installed cement board underlayment and new tile floor. Removed and reinstalled base board and toe kick. Project took about two weeks. Work had to be completed on time due to upcoming family function at our house. Work was completed exactly on time. Selected Accent Flooring for this job because of excellent work done repairing our custom shower.
Description of Work: Replaced tile floor in kitchen and breakfast room.
