2nd Wind Exercise Equipment- Lindbergh

I was very pleased with the whole experience of purchasing a treadmill from 2nd Wind Exercise. The sales person was knowledgeable of the equipment and showed me a machine that matched perfectly my request for a simple treadmill that displayed, basically, just time and distance walked. Likewise, the company that delivered and set up the treadmill, Treadmill Heroes, was professional. The treadmill was noisy when I first got it, and 2nd Wind Exercise and Treadmill Heroes were very responsive in solving the problem. Also, the sales person at 2nd Wind Exercise showed me how to provide maintenance on the machine and offered to have me call him anytime with questions.

Shortly after the purchase we got a personal note from the owner of the company in Eden Prarie, Minnesota, thanking us for our purchase and offering to help us should we have any questions. We also got a similar note from the store manager from the Lindbergh store.The treadmill was delivered shortly after the purchase but there was a problem. The treadmill was making a clanking noise. The delivery people heard the noise and said they would have notify the store and have someone come out to repair the problem. After about one week, the repair company that contracts with 2nd Wind called, made an appointment and sent two men out to repair the treadmill. They worked about 4 hours, took the machine apart several times, replaced pieces of the machine, but could not stop the noise. They left, saying they would come back another day with some other repair parts that were needed. When they came back, several days later, they still could not eliminate the noise effectively.I called Greg Lofgren, the store manager for the Lindbergh store and told him that I think it's time for a different machine or a refund. He agreed and asked me to detail my story in an e-mail message to him. A few more days passed and I got a call from him, telling me that they would be replacing the treadmill with a new machine. A few more days and I got a call from the delivery folks saying they had the new machine (same model as the old one) ready for delivery. They arrived the next day, on time, and replaced the noisy machine with a new one. The new machine works perfectly. This is obviously a company that is committed to customer service and the next time I'm in the market for exercise equipment they will be my first stop.
