They were able to send a tech out shortly after we contacted them. He showed up on time and once he evaluated the system decided that it only needed to be powered off and back on. Once it was running again, he adjusted the settings on the indoor units which made them much more efficient at heating the rooms than the way we had them set. He only charged us for the minimum service call and mileage that was quoted at the time the appointment was made since no major work needed to be done.

Schomberg had a technician to my house in 2.5 hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem (Clogged drain line) , took appropriate action, and was out the door within 45 minutes.

I'd give them A's across the board.

We've used them fr 3 or 4 years for maintenance. They're very prompt. It's been the same gentleman working on our unit every time and he is very nice and courteous. They're reasonable.

Our AC went out this summer. Prior to it going completely out I had called two other companies and they both came out and tinkered with it a few hours, gave me a couple hundred dollar bill, and the "fixes" never worked anyways. So then I called these fellas. They was VERY curtious, they sent someone out that day, and he found the problem straight away. A trash bag had wrapped its self around the fan and was overheating the motor. Which also goes to show how thorough these other companies was. So, he priced a new motor for me. But he also just suggested I look into a new unit. Mine was anchit. Plus I had explaned to him that over the last two summers we have spent $500ish on it cause it kept breaking down. Now my parents own the house, and my ol man, well let's just say he is old school and very tight on his money. So after giving me a few estimates...I said well I better call my old man and see what he wants to do. So while talking to my pops he was asking ME question after question after question. So I asked the gentleman if he would be willing to answer my dad's questions. Sure he says. ..and as I handed him the phone I said sorry! Mind you that date it was like 100 out. Super hot. 30 minutes later he hands my phone back to me and dad tells me Go ahead and get a new one. Just like that! Yall don't know my dad so when I say this it doesn't carry as much...well any clout as it does for those who do know him. But for my ol man to say yes after only talking to a stranger he never met, didn't know, couldn't look him in his eyes( I guess to tell they type of man he was), but he did. He said yes. Later he would tell me that he had NEVER dealt with a person so knowledgeable in their field as this technician was. He answered every question my dad had and answered them honestly. He didn't give any BS answers or stammer around. Straight to the point. When asked when he could install it, he did say they were very busy and we're looking at like two to three weeks out.But, I have health issues at the moment. And no one likes to be hot, but with my issues it especially makes me feel horrible. So, they offered to do it on the weekend. That weekend. It just so happened to be storming that Saturday, so they came the very next day. It was STILL storming, but they still came. They did all the inside worknow forst, then with a break in the weather they did the outside work. I have read some of the comments on here, and honestly I was shocked by what I read. So much so it crossed my mid if maybe someone had an issue with them, maybe a personal one, and got fronds or family to write bad reviews. I just can't see the people I dealt with, the company being like that. I have never seen a technician so knowledgeable, professional and curtious as the one who I delt with. After seeing the other reviews I had to write one. Professional all the way!

Showed up on time. Spent half the time on my trouble call on the phone assisting a tech at another location. Stated freon was low due to a leak. Offered two options; replace the system for $7500 or install freon without repairing the leak for $694. I declined, payed $91 for the service call, and sent him on his way. I then called another provider who installed the freon and repaired the leak for $175. System work fine thanks to the tech from another company.

Not well! We had a humidifier installed on our furnace by this company a year before and they would not come out for the yearly inspection unless we paid for the service because we had not purchased the 'extended warranty'.

I have hired nearly 100 contractors for personal and professional work. Hiring Schomburg is one of the worst decisions I've made in 20 years of business ownership. I'm left with few options other then posting a review and legal directions at this point. I got many bids for a heating system before choosing Greg. I was confident in my decision...and I was wrong. I spent $7k with this company on overhead radiant propane heaters. The equipment has not worked correctly for any of the 6 months it has been installed. His crew has been out 6 times trying to fix the problems. That effort, however futile, I appreciate. The current problems include - his installers nor he have any idea how to fix them - he told me repeatedly "we will make this right," "we will work with your schedule". They are now not showing up at appointments and telling me available dates then backing out. This also doesn't address...they don't know how to fix what they have installed.

I think this is a great company and we plan to continue our service contract with them. The repair work was done as scheduled without any problems or surprise costs. I discovered the charge for their services was $50 more than they quoted. I called them and they already had a check they planned to drop off when they made a special return visit to install the filter in our humidifier. The extra visit was required because they forgot to install it when they replaced the heat exchanger. They did not charge anything for the extra trip. I have personally talked with a few of the staff and all of them are friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend them!

The AC is running well and we are extreamly happy. We have been using them for several years.

Called to get more coolant and a quote. Tech guy came out and didn't tell me before he did work. Make sure you get a quote before you allow them to do work.

I had no problem with their responsiveness. My overall experience with them has been excellent.

We have always been very satisfied with the Schomburg team's work and recommendations. They use some of the very latest technologies to check on the proper functioning of HVAC equipment, including a new device for checking carbon monoxide from the furnace. They explain what they are doing and why. Work has always been done very professionally and expeditiously; we were especially pleased with the installation of the new AC unit last summer.

They were very agreeable and very pleasant but their price was nowhere near competitive so I didn't do any further business with them. The experience was okay and I would have appreciated a better price. They didn't really want to address my furnace problem; they wanted to redo the whole house. If I had needed the service it would have been wonderful but they basically wanted me to get more than I needed.

He was really good. He was really friendly and really helpful. We ended up doing the job ourselves, though. He continued to be helpful even when we told him that we wouldn?t be using him. Our neighbors had used him earlier. They had recommended him to me as they were really pleased with him. They were a couple of things that they weren?t happy with, but he corrected it immediately.

The HVAC cleaner showed up on time and ready to go. Very professional and thorough duct cleaning of a 56 year old house HVAC system, that most likely had never been cleaned. The complete cleaning took around 3 hours followed by a 30 minute servicing of our HVAC system. Estimated cost was the actual cost and the work was done professionally, on time and with great efficiency. I would definitely use them again and plan to have them conduct an HVAC service every fall. I may also have them install a UV light in the HVAC system for mold prevention.
